Yes , I know, I know.
You don't want to think about it.
This time last year I hadn't even had my holiday (I went in Oct half term) this year , I have no holiday to console me (visiting parents for the 4th time this year soon)

So:
its getting near 100 Days.
I need to get on board with weight loss/sorting my belly or I'm going to be looking in disgust at my middle in December.

I need to sort out some good winter clothes but I don't need thick layers because I hot flush like a bloody oven. While everyone else is in Parkas and gloves, I might button up my cardi .

I'll be back in a few days with A List.

101 Days to Christmas
I've dropped to 82kg (from 83.5) since the start of this week-combination of exercise and being aware of what I am eating.
Nails done, fake tan done, hair blow dry early this morning for a work thing.
Failed on the fruit/veg thing....I'm at 4portions today.
Drank more water instead of caffeine. Still need to start flossing.

I would like to hit under 80kg by end September.
I want to eat more fruit and veg daily.
Exercise daily, including dog walking and do the plank.
Mindfulness each morning, gratitude journal each night.

Stop ALL negative thoughts in their tracks! Smile

@ArtyFarty555 I use these threads as an aide-memoire for myself so yeah- list what it is you want to achieve

Arty - age is but a number! I once worked with a lady who was in her late 50s who totally transformed herself over a year or so. She lost weight, got a great haircut, had her colours and makeup done and wore nicer clothes (not more expensive, just colourful and youthful). She did look amazing. She said it was time for her, that she'd lost track of herself and she didn't want to move into older age looking dowdy. Also she started more social evenings and events herself. She seemed to be really enjoying herself. I am younger but have often thought of her through the years for inspiration.

I aim to:

do 10000 steps daily
be alcohol free
no snacking
get my 5 a day
Henna my hair again
Organise my wardrobe but not buy anything new (unless essential)
stick to my skin care regimen

I would like to be 9 stone on Chrstmas day (I'm about 10 stone now, I will weigh myself first thing tomorrow)

I'm in.

Been on the quitting sugar thread and I was doing well on reducing sugar intake but after a ten day holiday it's gone a bit tits up and the weight I lost has crept back on.

Want to try to:

Paint nails (hands and feet)
Get eyebrows threaded regularly
Haircut regularly, especially as I have a fringe
Sort out wardrobe
Lose 21-28lbs
Body brush everyday
Moisturise body
Start hot cloth cleansing

Can't think of anything else, but sure there is more

Me too please! Am really starting from ground zero. Loads of weight to lose, but will aim for 10kg by Christmas.

  1. Lose 10kg
  2. Sort out feet (any suggestions? They are not pedicurable yet).
  3. Cleanse and moisturise face twice daily.
  4. Make an effort with my appearance every day.
  5. Stop biting nails.
  6. Do something with my hair.
  7. Throw out clothes with holes in them.
  8. Stop snacking. Eat positively.
  9. Smile more.

10. Pretend to be graceful and fabulous.

Scoots back onto thread:

Ok , I need 10 things :

1: haircut when it needs it - my hair has gone a week past it's optimum and is now all sticky out
2: dye- though weirdly enough since I swapped from permenant or henna to semi permenant, I don't get the horrible root growth and it hasn't faded , so Bonus!
3; multivitamins and keep up with my herbal tablets (Menopausal)
4: get my SlimGym out and aim to do 30 minutes every other night to begin with
5: Use my spray tan (I bought some James Read) to make me look less corpsey
6: 1000 steps - I can do more at the weekends
7:file my poor nails once a week (I can't wear nail product) . I did try one of those buffer files which made my nails lovely and shiney and smooth , but they seemed to snap after,
8: Don't get a cold this winter , especially not near Christmas
9: cut out any sweet things during the week (I'll allow weekends otherwise I'll be reet miserable)
10: Use my nightcream every night . Try and get a head start.
11: buy myself a new epilator - smooth legs'n'pits all the way.

Lose a stone, aiming for a pound a week.,currently doing BSD and have lost 5 and a bit pounds already.

Argh hit post too soon!

Filed my nails this morning but realised I had no polish I liked to pain them. Can anyone recommend a nice, light colour? Clear but not totally clear, maybe a hint of pink kinda thing?

Also got a ren 1 minute facial sample this morning so tried that too. Don't look or feel any different though. Still nice to pamper myself a little bit

Well I got some of the Korean Italy cloths. I have been exfoliating daily... Well I thought I had!

Disgustingly fantastic things! Slightly addictive Grin

@christmasunicorn. The Dior Nail Glow stuff - lovely. It's clear going on but after 3 coats, I find that there's a hint of pink. Very work appropriate, and no drama about re-doing if there's a chip.
Makes my nails look well cared for (mine are v dry and prone to peel).

Didn't get my haircut (I CBA in the end, might try tomorrow, I dive into these No Appointment salons)

I caught sight of my crepey decolletage in the mirror today and bought a spray moisturiser (Superdrugs one)

So that's another to add
12: use some body moisturiser. (I drink loads of water , hot flushes , worse in evening. Then I need to get up in the night . Sigh)

I coloured my hair, but somehow still have a few spindly greys at the front, I never get them all!

I've heard about these Korean cloths, are they any good?

Report
Bufferingkisses · 17/09/2017 00:02

I have to say the Korean cloths are a game changer for me.

One of the reasons I've never been particularly bothered about a skin routine is the kp on my legs and arms. However hard I tried I could never achieve smooth skin. Finding out what kp is meant I had a hope if changing that so I thought I'd give it a try. Normal exfoliating has helped a bit.

These towels though... I achieved more in one session with them than the weeks of exfoliating before them. They made a significant difference. I didn't realise it was possible to have skin so smooth.

20 minute soak in a bath and 10 minutes scrubbing. Easy to do and worth every second!

I promise I don't work for the seller Grin

I've got a busy few months ahead (I mean haven't we all), so I'm trying to get organised.

I mean to keep my nails more tidy - polish is chipped more often than not
finish organising wardrobe. I've just taken out the summer clothes. Now to do the folded clothes.
Remember to clean face of make up, follow skin cleansing regime at night
Back to yoga and meditation, even for a few minutes a day. I fall asleep to one of those healing music tracks, is what I mean by meditation, but I think it clears the head Grin
Cut down on sugar and snacks!

Korean towels? I bought some a while ago. Pink, rough type mitt cloths. Are they fine to be used on the face?

Yes, they're the ones micro, I think the pink ones are the more gentle ones for your face. The green ones (which I have) are more abrasive for your body.

Mrs Bobton - feet: moisturise them every night, this alone works wonders. My preference (when I am feeling flush) is to use Weleda Skin Food. This is quite a thick cream, smells chock full of aromatherapy oils, a little goes a long way, and I find it best to have a pair of washable slipper to hand to wear for a while afterwards (feet are a bit claggy for a while but the payoff is worth it). Other, less spendy version is Soap and Glory foot cream - this is a thinner cream, smells lovely, and is a great everyday moisturiser. But basically, diligent application of any footcream will work wonders. (Flexitol is very good too for transforming horny hooves, although I don't like the smell. Boots do their own version of this, slightly cheaper.)

I also recommend getting a Scholls Velvet Touch. A less spendy thing would be the PedEgg. I use both - I had the PedEgg first and bought the VT later but I use the Egg to get rid of the build up of hard skin that I get on side of big toe, and the other contraption for smoothing. I feel an inch smaller when I use these,

I also get hairy big toes which are not visible (blonde) but I can feel them - I like to get rid of these with a depilatory cream. A small thing but adds to the taking care of my feet routine.

I would suggest going to a Dr Scholl for a treatment. This is not a pedicure but hard skin and corn removal etc. They see feet in all conditions, and I am sure yours are not that bad!

The thing with feet is that you have to keep on top of the hard skin etc. Feet get such a pounding you would have to walk on feathers all day not to get sore bits, hard patches, corns....

I'd like to join in please.
My main thing is weight - I haven't quite decided on a target yet.
I'd also like to keep on top of drinking abough water. I'm generally pretty good but occasionally get busy at work and realise I haven't pee'd all day :/
