Oatmeal. I think if you have a large chest, twinsets can look quite matronly.

motherinferior · 08/10/2017 15:09

I am certainly Blessed with Chest!

MsMartini · 08/10/2017 15:19

Mmm I think it would be better darker - worth cold water dye try?

MrsSchadenfreude · 08/10/2017 15:21

I had a twinset. The jumper looked fine on its own, the cardigan looked fine on its own, but together it was instant Frumpsville.

I am having yet another clear out. It is very dull and I hate Sundays.

motherinferior · 08/10/2017 15:47

I think it might be relegated to the blissfully-comfortable-with-trackies section of the evening wardrobe.😀

motherinferior · 08/10/2017 15:49

And/or it may be perfect as the base layer with a fab zipup chunky bright red Hobbs cardie I also found in chazzer which doesn’t work with black, despite my anarchist tendencies.

MsMartini · 08/10/2017 15:49

Pretty important section, MI Smile. That and trainers and the things I really care about.

Speaking of which, I have a new pair of trainers which are brilliant for what I want but have a strong sort of new leather smell, really noticeable . Can I do anything?

MrsWobble3 · 08/10/2017 16:08

I am posting here as MrsSmug - I went to the gym rather than the shops so have benefitted my health and bank balance. Still undecided on 7/8 jeans - but question will have to stay open another week since I've now missed the shops for today.

motherinferior · 08/10/2017 16:24

Live long and prosper, MrsW!

I have done v little today but am reading an EXCELLENT book and am riveted.

motherinferior · 08/10/2017 16:25

MrsM: can you just air them a bit?

motherinferior · 08/10/2017 16:25

And is ANYONE on for a Friday sniffer?

hattymattie · 08/10/2017 17:10

What are you reading MI? And why can't you wear read over black?

I like the smell of new leather Mrs M

Well done Mrs W - I have basically lolled around all day and need a new book (see above).

hattymattie · 08/10/2017 17:11

Red over black!

Blackduck · 08/10/2017 19:27

Id love to do Friday but am heading to Pembrokeshire for the weekend. Will be around in November if anyone else is?

Meanwhile feel mega relaxed knowing I can start to drop old job and concentrate on the new one - doing two jobs has nearly killed me....

motherinferior · 08/10/2017 20:39

Of course you can and I often do, Hattie, but this particular combo is a bit Dennis the Menace for me. Red and purple, now, I love.

MsMartini · 08/10/2017 21:41

Oooh whereabouts, BD (or WA if you don't want to be specific here)?

MI, don't think I am on Friday.

IDismyname · 08/10/2017 23:41

Sorry, Crepes, but don't think I can make this Friday. Have a GnT for me.

hattymattie · 09/10/2017 06:05

Red and purple - anarchist (which I skim read as antichrist) now you're talking)Smile

addle · 09/10/2017 06:45

MI, worth a go with the combo in some no stress setting? I like the idea of that combo. am with you on red and black being a bit d the m.

BD, so good that you won't have to cope with two sets of job stresses

Had a amazing w/e with brother and sister going through family letters. I was feeling v tense and worried about it beforehand and getting v upset every time I tried to read them but as it turned out we had a really, really good time together though tiring.

motherinferior · 09/10/2017 10:46

Actually I am bizarrely tempted by this, given there is an offer. I have various cardies - yellow, bright green, red, Aran - I could wear with it. BUT do I want navy or teal? Navy tends to make me look dead but that’s on its own...

MrsWobble3 · 09/10/2017 11:03

MI - I'd never have guessed you were a twinset sort of person! I'm not sure I could say who is though.

motherinferior · 09/10/2017 11:06

I am a person who feels the cold! However, I have realised if I’m going to layer up I’d do much better with one of their scoop-necked long-sleevers. Charcoal or navy?

hattymattie · 09/10/2017 17:40

You can wear both. I tend towards navy as my black alternative.

MrsSchadenfreude · 09/10/2017 19:34

Not navy on you. I had one of those short sleeved thin merino sweaters and it made my tits look pleasingly perky and shapely.

IDismyname · 10/10/2017 06:59

I spent a huge chunk of my summer trying to deal with a delivery of a shoddy piece of knitwear with Woolovers. It took months. Literally months to sort. Their customer service is the PITS.

They used to be fabulous, and I'd get several jumpers a year from them, but not sure what has happened recently. There are rumblings from other quarters about how dreadful they are.

I can't bring myself to use them again... and it takes a lot for me to abandon a good British company selling good value goods.

Just my penny's worth...

Right. Time to go and get on the train and be creative. We were given a monumental project yesterday which has kept me up most of the night. On the upside, I had a couple of lightbulb moments, so the lack of sleep has not been wasted.

Yawn.
