In other S& B news, I have ordered a bottle of "Up the Apples and Pears" from 4160 Tuesdays as my new autumn perfume. It is half price this week. And I will be on the look out for new shoes today.

motherinferior · 01/10/2017 08:49

MrsS, I feel she should be treating you to a little something.

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/10/2017 09:23

I feel you are right, MI.

In other disorganised news, DD2's Oyster has expired and we forgot to apply for the 16-18 one.

bigTillyMint · 01/10/2017 11:04

MrsS, is it time for her to pay rent (perhaps into a savings account for the future)?Smile

I like ankle jeans, but they always come up almost pedal-pushers on me. Summer only!

motherinferior · 01/10/2017 11:10

Would you throw me off S&B if I asked about jeggings Blush? Am wearing v comfy pair from sainsbos...(with a long H&M Top/dress, not a short jumper!)

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/10/2017 11:16

I'm letting her save, BTM, and not charging her rent for now. (My mother charged me so much rent that it was cheaper for me to move to London and share a house.)

My mother loves her jeggings, MI. Grin

bigTillyMint · 01/10/2017 11:30

Thumbs up to saving, MrsS!

Cremolafoam · 01/10/2017 14:34

Jeggings have saved my fat life MI. Zara is full of them. I think they might even be back in , in an ironic manner no doubt.Hmm
I have fallen for these

I like cropped trousers on other people, but on me they just emphasise my thunder thighs and cankles. One needs a shapely ankle, I feel. I have a wide-legged cropped jumpsuit I bought from TK Maxx, still with its tags on. It's a nice idea, but just not on me.

motherinferior · 01/10/2017 18:30

I cannot contemplate a jumpsuit for moi.

hattymattie · 01/10/2017 18:50

Jumpsuits make me think of Abba and generally the late 70's so that would be a "no" from me as well.

MrsWobble3 · 01/10/2017 20:29

Thanks for the input re 7/8 jeans. I'm still undecided so will ponder.

Lovely day today celebrating what would have been FIL's 100th birthday. And benefitted from offspring with a driving licence and millennial approach to drinking. BIL keeps an excellent cellar......

IDismyname · 01/10/2017 22:20

I'm happy to wear 7/8 trousers in the summer but put them away come winter. Now that I have 2 pairs of brogues, I may get myself a warmer pair.

magimedi · 02/10/2017 13:42

I'm back from a wonderful holiday to some bad news. DIL had a scan whilst we were away and there are some serious problems. I don't want to say more than that as it would be too revealing.

We are off to see them in a few days time and I think I'll be taking a break from the internet for a bit.

motherinferior · 02/10/2017 13:45

I’m so sorry.

Please pm me if I can be of any help. Xxx

MsMartini · 02/10/2017 13:48

Magi, so very sorry to hear this. Will be thinking of you and your family (do PM if you would like a private chat ever). x

Rosenspants · 02/10/2017 14:09

So sorry for the upsetting news MM. Please do update us if it feels ok to do so, and come on here for continued friendship and support. X

MrsWobble3 · 02/10/2017 14:34

So sorry for you and your family Magi. Don't desert us forever but I completely get the need for space now.

addle · 02/10/2017 15:06

MM, I'm so sorry. Will be thinking of you and your family.

NUFC69 · 02/10/2017 16:15

MM, so sorry to hear about your DIL. As other Crepeys have said, please feel free to PM me if you want to talk. We had experience of this with my nephew's wife and it was a horrible time. Flowers

hattymattie · 02/10/2017 16:41

MM - sending love and hope things straighten themselves out.

Cremolafoam · 02/10/2017 16:47

Oh Magi, how heartbreaking it must be to have that waiting for you on your return. Can't say how sorry I am. I really hope there are things that can be done for her, in this modern world. Thinking muchly of you.Flowers

bigTillyMint · 02/10/2017 18:56

Oh MM, am also hoping that she will be able to get good health support. How worrying Flowers

magimedi · 02/10/2017 21:02

Thank you all for those lovely messages.

They mean a lot.

The health care DIL is getting in France is amazing.

I did wonder how I was going to love another GC as much as PFGC - that has been resolved. I love little unborn so much & just wish I could make it all OK for them all.

Gawd, you never stop worrying about your kids..............

MsMartini · 02/10/2017 23:00

Oh Magi, of course you do Flowers. I am glad your DIL is getting such good care.
