I am on the hunt for a deep chestnut pair of pull on calf length boots.

Anyone seen anything decent?

Also what is up with Toast this year?

I would like to be about 4 stone lighter and be able to look nice in skinny jeans and slouchy jumpers, but I can't see that happening!

I'd love a pair of knee high boots for fat legs that are not leather/suede.

I've fallen in love woth these wellies too, but not seen them in person and think I'll either have to buy them when I see them, or I'll hate them.

The parka looks lovely but IME the water will just run off and soak your legs. It needs to be longer.

@34AQuid I have this bag

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01C8AQUOO/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502405390&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=leather+tote+bag+for+women&dpPl=1&dpID=51vxcRXCv-L&ref=plSrch&tag=mumsnetforum-21

Maybe too big - it fits a laptop or A4 folder. Sometimes comes up on Amazon's deals of the day.

If anyone works for any fashion stores in purchasing/designing, show them this thread - this is what we want to wear. Mentioned uptrend by tent, I would looooove some thick jersey drapey dresses with cowl/asymmetric necklines and\or asymmetric hemlines which look all cool and nonchalant aka Rik Owens/Viv Westwood but for a 1/10 price - why does no one do them?? All Saints do on high St but they tend to be thin material more suited to night time. Bring on the thick drapery jersey pieces - tops and skirts too.
I would love a warm camel thick belted duster style coat midi length and some new knee high block heel boots - maybe a dark grey or tan brown. Thinking about some wide culottes too with a side zip maybe in a burgundy red colour. And yes, bring on the V Neck jumpers - hate polo and crew neck as always feel like they give me a double chin. Never enough v/cowl neck jumpers around. Rant over!

Jman If you find that camel coat then let me know! I want a warm camel wrap coat, midi length too.

Jmangel · 11/08/2017 11:20

Will do Sunbeam - not properly searched yet but if I find one that's warm but not too bulky, I'll def let you know.

hidingusername · 11/08/2017 11:21

To be able to wear mac diva (vampy dark red) and dark burgundy nails again it's my fave

Tentomidnight · 11/08/2017 12:56

Jmangel I love your whole list ❤️
My nails are already dark red this week in anticipation of autumn..

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/08/2017 13:03

I bought some wide cullottes that I've been enjoying wearing with trainers and espadrilles whilst the weather has been nice. Would people also wear them with boots, or is that a step too far? I used to, back in the 90s.

RussellTheLoveMuscle · 11/08/2017 16:28

Umbrellas glad you found them, I'd have ripped them from her feet!

ReinettePompadour · 11/08/2017 16:40

Banananana not exactly what you want but its burgundy, belted with a lovely warm soft shearling lining. Ive tried this one on myself and the fur/wool is beautifully soft.

Country Attire has some tweed coats in their sale, they looked very nice.
I'm trying not to buy another Barbour on there atm.

millifiori · 11/08/2017 16:50

I want a completely classic single breasted midi trenchcoat. If you see any...

Floisme · 11/08/2017 18:45

I'm wondering the same thing Remus - I've been living in wide legs, cropped at the ankle this summer but not sure yet what I'll do when the weather turns. All I know is a) I'm not going to be cold and b) I'm not going back to skinnies because now I've had a break from them, I can see how terrible they look on me.

Crispsheets · 11/08/2017 18:48

banananana
If you go on Duos website there's a 15% off code. I'm ordering those....they are the old Florence style, which I bought 6 years ago. Still going strong but fancy new ones. I live in them.in winter.

Niminy · 11/08/2017 20:29

Floisme I pondered this problem at length last winter. Tights under trousers feel horrible and make the trousers cling, and I won't do cold feet or ankles. My best answer was brogues or trainers or even ankle boots with longer socks - I have a pair of very funky ones from Oyboo* (shockingly expensive, but I love them). You could also try sock boots (longer length ankle boots) but I don't do high heels so they seem to be out for me.

riskyinred · 11/08/2017 21:18

I've been after a moss-green trench coat for years now and have still never managed to find one that matches the picture in my head. Any ideas gratefully welcome.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/08/2017 21:26

I definitely couldn't do funky socks with culottes. I'm thinking maybe black lacy or fishnet pop socks might be a possibility?

Niminy · 11/08/2017 21:48

Lace and me don't get on, nor fishnets. But if they're your style, then certainly. I mostly just had longer length black socks - boring, but workable.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/08/2017 21:49

Ah - I had visions of lots of multi-coloured zig-zags etc, like golfers!
