If you could only buy clothes from one shop forever...

Which would it be?

Saying a department store is cheating. Doesn't need to include shoes or accessories.

I think I'd probably go for H&M. I seem to buy a capsule wardrobe from there every season and wear it all to death. I like the simple shapes and colour palettes they use. I love the upmarket shops too, but H&M seems to be the basis of my wardrobe.

Ooh, tricky! Poetry or Toast.... assuming in this imaginary scenario I also have unlimited cash!

ThanksMsMay · 20/06/2017 12:09

Monsoon

2littlemoos · 20/06/2017 12:10

Oasis. Some of their items aren't the best quality, and their sizing is sometimes off, but I've learnt what styles to go for now and I love a floral print!

NC4now · 20/06/2017 12:17

It depends on my budget. Current circs, I think I'll be skint for a while so I'll go for New Look.

I would have gone with you on H&M but the sizing is so far off the mark, I'm not sure I could handle it for the rest of my life!

PlymouthMaid1 · 20/06/2017 12:17

Mantaray but would also need Phase eight for smartness.

boggedoff · 20/06/2017 12:18

Uniqlo and French connection

AntiopeofThemyscira · 20/06/2017 12:19

Gap. Completely me, comfortable khakis, lots of coloured T shirts, non fussy comfortable dresses.

toffeeboffin · 20/06/2017 12:21

Warehouse but in the late 90's.

frenchfancy · 20/06/2017 12:21

I'm trying to never buy clothes again by making my own - does that count?

Trouble is I don't knit, so I guess fat-face for their jumpers.

WhooooAmI24601 · 20/06/2017 12:21

H&M for summer. Their skinny jeans and cargo shorts are cheap and cheerful, their linen tees are the best I've tried and their summer dresses are fabulous.

Mint Velvet for winter. I love their grey cardigans with black skinny jeans and white tshirts. Their basics are fab (albeit costly) and their boots are incredibly resilient even for a teacher.

Mothervulva · 20/06/2017 12:22

Topshop

SunnySomer · 20/06/2017 12:27

Probably Toast for me too - though their bikinis are for smaller blossomed women than me, so they'd not be much use as underwear. All those pyjamas though.....
Not sure what my DH would think. He tends to look at the leaflets that come through the door and wonder who the hell their target audience are, which makes me worry that although my clothes are comfortable, natural fibres, good colours etc, I'm starting to mutate into a middle aged Sunday School teacher

PaperdollCartoon · 20/06/2017 13:32

Oh bras aren't included in this! I am big of boob, Bravissimo only for me, H&M would not be an option!

M and S (but not Per Una)

LaCerbiatta · 20/06/2017 13:41

Cos

Whatthefoxgoingon · 20/06/2017 13:42

Net a porter.

Is that cheating Grin

OverAndAbove · 20/06/2017 13:48

I would have to say Boden - except they don't do knickers!

ButtMuncher · 20/06/2017 13:50

If I could fit into most things, Zara. Otherwise, H&M. I have so many staple outfits from there Blush

vitaminC · 20/06/2017 13:59

I meant work wear, btw, not world war! Grin

vitaminC · 20/06/2017 14:00

Oh and underwear from Aubade

Clalpolly · 20/06/2017 14:16

French, knitting is a piece of piss, crochet even easier. Wait till it gets cold in August Grin then give it a go

UsernameInvalid66 · 20/06/2017 14:17

Mantaray

Scrumpernickel · 20/06/2017 14:19

I'm going to say H&M because it has lots of natural fibres, and price wise even if I fall on hard times I'll still be able to shop there!

Scrumpernickel · 20/06/2017 14:20

I would have to say Boden - except they don't do knickers!

Could you forego the knickers, or would Mr Boden be horrified at that?

hollieberrie · 20/06/2017 14:25

Ohh this is sooooo hard. My main faves are Whistles / Topshop / Hush / Toast / Hollister (just their jeans and knits). A lot comes from eBay though.

If i had to pick one.... um....... Topshop but i dont really want to line the pockets of Philip Green forever more Confused. Maybe Whistles then.
