If you could only buy clothes from one shop forever...

Which would it be?

Saying a department store is cheating. Doesn't need to include shoes or accessories.

I think I'd probably go for H&M. I seem to buy a capsule wardrobe from there every season and wear it all to death. I like the simple shapes and colour palettes they use. I love the upmarket shops too, but H&M seems to be the basis of my wardrobe.

Cos. No competition

I'm a fatty too, and I'd be screwed.

I have a big arse/hips and tummy, but I have an actual waistline, so trousers are a nightmare (to fit on the hips, they gape at the waist). Sainsbury's inconveniently stopped selling the jeans and trousers that fit me really well. Angry

I find Evans don't always fit me very well - something is just 'off', and to be honest, the last couple of things I've bought in there really didn't justify the price (captive audience and all that).

Assuming I didn't have to get jeans, Gap or H&M for shirts/tops, but would have to be the online shop as they don't tend to carry the fat sizes in store (Gap certainly don't).

Toast. I buy all my stuff from there anyway because I'm a fabric snob and only wear natural fibres. Although there have been worrying outbreaks of viscose recently...

Dorothy P because their jeans fit me well. Ted Baker if I had more money.

Seasalt.

Have lots already, everything washes so well (god I sound like my mother).

Although I've not bought any trousers from them so that would be interesting.

M&S, yes I know they can be boring but they will last you through to end of life with their stuff. I can't see an 80 year old still shopping in H&M tbh, not even considering how your body shape changes through the decades.

It would have said White Stuff last year but it's gone downhill lately.
If we are talking practicalities ie have to be able to buy underwear/shoes/tights/leggings as well as the more aesthetically pleasing stuff, I'd say Marks just for the variety. But god I'd hate to be having to buy all my best pieces from there as well as the basics.

I was going to say Sainsbury's, because I buy about 70% of my clothes there.

But I'll be sensible and say M&S, because they sell a much wider range of products, they have stuff for all sorts of occasions, and I'd probably be more likely to wear their clothes when I'm older.

Another vote for Cos. I practically only buy there anyway!

I went to Cos in Selfridges Mcr today. Really impressed with the well priced and beautifully made clothes.

This thread is so unoriginal and rather depressing. If money were no option, why oh why would you
opt to wear cheap, boring, mass-produced clothing? I said my shop of choice would be Chanel but any of the haute couture houses would be amazing. It is all so beautifully designed and made, feels wonderful to wear and makes you look fantastic. Or to have a personal designer, someone who would create clothing only for you and according to your lifestyle and taste. You could help create it.

I had the chance to do this once, when I visited Bangkok. I designed what I wanted, made small sketches, and then chose the fabric. My clothing was ready in 2 days, plus as extra day for alterations, if required. It was such a delight to do and the quality was top-notch. Reasonably priced, too.

In the original post there was no mention if having limitless money.
It only asked if you could only buy from one shop.
Seeing that mos t if us dont have an un limited amount if money has resulted in a supposedly unoriginal thread!

Uniqlo or Cos for me, but Cos would have to be in the sale.

Esprit. They sell everything and it's reasonable quality and price. Also lots of non polyester stuff.

Assuming current budget - Dorothy Perkins. I'd like to say somewhere a bit more fashionable/upmarket but DP's sizing works for me and I do love a floral teadress or wrap dress!

If money were no object then of course it would be a different story! Some of my best dresses that fit well and look amazing on are from LK Bennet (sometimes via eBay) but unfortunately I can't afford to only buy clothes from there, let alone a high end designer!
