We're already missing you, Crem. I hope things settle down for you and you feel better soon.

msmargarita · 12/06/2017 07:47

DS's first big week of exams starts today. Fingers crossed for all exam takers.

bigTillyMint · 12/06/2017 08:04

Good luck to your DS, MsMargarita.

DS is very nervous today - second Eng Lang.

NoCureForLove · 12/06/2017 08:57

Best of luck to all exam takers...
Can't believe some are only getting going this week - ds2 finishes on Friday.

motherinferior · 12/06/2017 11:35

DD1 waltzed off feeling ok today...just hope it lasts!

NUFC69 · 12/06/2017 14:16

I hope all the exam takers are coping and doing well.

I am baking ready for a 5 day visit from my friend from Leicestershire next week - and cleaning, too. No news about the new baby yet - it's due on Thursday and we were all convinced DDiL would have had it by now. The poor girl is very fed up and announced last week that, under no circumstances, was she going through this again.

MsMartini · 12/06/2017 14:23

Good luck all!

dd comes home tomorrow for a few days. I can't wait to see her - it has been ages - but suspect tension will be high as she is waiting for exam results and about to go on holiday and ds and his revision needs (sofa/living room/food and routine) must come first. Suspect the house will feel like it has shrunk quite a lot by the end of the week.....

MsMartini · 12/06/2017 14:26

NU, I remember feeling like that with ds (who was a week late). Felt even more strongly after he arrived (gorgeous, calm babe tho he was) Smile. Hope you get to meet your new gc soon!

motherinferior · 12/06/2017 15:19

I am SO lucky that I never went overdue and DD2 was 16 days early.

She returned exhausted from Duke of Ed weekend last night and I appear to have given her the day off.Shockshe is clearly utterly wiped and is reading in bed (I know this because I have her phone Grin) and frankly I reckon she needs it to recharge. She has music theory grade 5 this Sat and must, must pass if she is to do more practical exams.

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 12/06/2017 15:52

No exams here today, just revising, which seems to be happening..... the state of his room is Shock but he won't let me sort it.... I'll wait for an exam heavy day and get in there.

I'm escaping tomorrow for an overnight with an old friend who I met on the first day of our graduate programme at our first employer... I'm going from one exam house to another but I need a break from just being here, iykwim.... I used to see her more when I worked and it's increasingly hard to find time to catch up now I'm just based here.

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 12/06/2017 17:18

Biuuuut, I just made the mistake of weighing myself. Eeek, its bad. Can I ask about HRT? Is it likely that I need to jiggle around with dosage at all? Although I have felt some benefits since starting it in Feb, I'm certainly not back where I was. Is it worth upping the dose or is it one size fits all?

MsMartini · 12/06/2017 17:29

Flipflops, enjoy your little escape, they can be soooo valuable.

MI, I gather outbreaks of vague but incapacitating illnesses are very common after those trips.Grin

motherinferior · 12/06/2017 17:44

I have ordered DD1 her prom dress: £50 of clingy strappiness. Her dad will have a fit.Grin

She will need it shortened, not least because she is unlikely to wear it with towering heels. I have suggested metallic conversalike.

Rosenspants · 12/06/2017 18:07

There's a lot of trial and error with HRT, Flipflops. It is like a very slow drip feed though and it takes months to build up. Have they started you on a very low dose? It's deffo not one size fits all. Hope it won't spoil your escape though...enjoy x

NU How overdue is she? or is she?....if she's well and the babe is happy, see if she can hang on. The worst decision I ever made was to have an induction at term plus 5 with DD. If I knew then what I know now (on account of my training,) I would never have asked for it. Good luck to her..it'll happen.

Good luck to DS msmargarita and hope the home coming goes well MrsM. They are lovely but they do rather take up all the breathing space when they come back, don't they?

I have little to report...DH flew in from forrin on Saturday...coping well with the jet lag, but not very well with me.. Hmm. Great party on Sat night but can't shake the underlying sinking feeling in my belly. I am also waking before 5am at the moment. Anyway, I have a little escape of my own...going to visit DS2 from Wed til Fri this week as no class.

I don't like that we are losing people...Auriga, Crem...please come back soon.

hattymattie · 12/06/2017 18:13

...and Rudy and WAF unless they've NC'd and I don't recognise them.

Blackduck · 12/06/2017 18:26

Big day tomorrow - GMC in - make or break. And of course trains are screwed tonight so late home Angry
Plus I am feeling overwhelmed trying to manage two jobs. Think I need to manage expectations, but every time I try everyone blithely ignores me and carries on Angry

MrsWobble3 · 12/06/2017 19:10

Am away on work training course. Really don't want to be here - I absolutely loathe enforced 'fun'. Slightly improved by discovery that I have been given what's probably the best room in the hotel so shall spend whatever free time I get sulking in luxury.

I'm sorry but probably going to miss MU as dates unlikely to work. Hopefully next time.....

herbaceous · 12/06/2017 21:40

GMC BD? General medical council? Giant mutating curate?

Blackduck · 12/06/2017 21:44

First one Herbs..

bigTillyMint · 12/06/2017 22:01

BD that sounds hard work - you definitely need a DnS to relax... can you make the 7th or 14th?Wine

Stropperella · 13/06/2017 06:27

Good luck today, BD!
