As I said the other day, I'd have more in my pocket if I'd hopped on a train and come to your pedi place. My one at Grayshott Spa cost.

Well. It cost a lot more.

Am fighting the urge to just chuck in the towel of life and bury my head somewhere. Those terrorists certainly know how to rattle us.

(JOKE ABOUT CHUCKING IN TOWEL)

As for reflections in shop windows? Yup. Me too.

@Monty ?? You still low carbing? Saw you elsewhere saying you'd give it a go. I'm on week 4 of no: grains, potatoes, sugar etc etc. Can't say I feel fantastic. In fact, I feel pretty zonked.

IDismyname · 04/06/2017 16:59

I should have said ^ @Montypulciano ^

IDismyname · 04/06/2017 17:00

Gah! @Montypulciano

Rosenspants · 04/06/2017 20:13

I can't do low carbs....it's miserable.

MM there can't be many of us who haven't experienced episodes of anxiety which have debilitated us to the point of existing rather than living. I think travel anxiety is a common one...I fight it myself and although it never stops me going, the suffering can be awful. Treatment is such a good thing...do avail yourself. Flowers

A day of DDs revision aka fighting and shouting, some lovely time in the garden (away from DD) and a walk to clear our heads, against the shock and horror of last nights attack. DH is packing for a week away in Texas. Will watch The Handmaids Tale tonight. We caught up on 'Paula' last night (violent and horrific, but compelling) and started the thing with Sean Bean as a priest ..the Jimmy McGovern thing...going to be good, I think.

motherinferior · 04/06/2017 20:14

Ooh. Should I watch Paula? What's the Mr Bean one? I like a bit of gruel with my telly.

motherinferior · 04/06/2017 20:16

I suspect I could do worse than shift to more complex carbs in part of the battle against The Scales.

Rosenspants · 04/06/2017 20:22

The one with Sean Bean is 'Broken' . Both are really well acted and gritty drama. BBC at its best.

I had brown rice for supper. Does that count as a complex carb?

Blackduck · 04/06/2017 21:02

Stropps I don't do nail polish full stop...... On toes or nails. As Crepeys who have met me know I don't do make up at all.... Makes me feel weird...

motherinferior · 04/06/2017 21:50

It's so complex it needs its own psychotherapist, Rose!

MrsKlugscheisser · 04/06/2017 22:02

My idea of looking expensive is to wear a decent coat to cover the rags underneath.

magimedi · 05/06/2017 07:27

Happy Birthday to MI Wine.

Cremolafoam · 05/06/2017 07:28

I feel like that this morning Mrs K. I am having an I have nothing to wear moment, despite wardrobe stuffed with clothes. I have chipped nail polish on toes and an emergency stick on manicure on hands.

Nocure, in Finery news I have kept 1 of the dresses and sent one back. It will work as a dressy dress in Autumn. Also linen shift from La Redoute is perfect and I wish they did it in 20 colours, as I would live in it until September.

Happy birthday MI!Cake hope you are spoiled.

Happy new week everyone.Grin

hattymattie · 05/06/2017 08:02

Happy Birthday to you MI xx

MsMartini · 05/06/2017 08:19

MI, happy happy birthday CakeWine.

Crem, do you have a link to the shift (only if easy)?

motherinferior · 05/06/2017 09:03

Many thanks. I am redolent of the Miller Harris Tea Tonique I requested from my father. Having come late to the Miller Harris party I have become a terrific fan.

bigTillyMint · 05/06/2017 09:16

Sounds like youre having a happy day MI!

Off to google Miller Harris

NUFC69 · 05/06/2017 09:29

I have never heard of them either, BTM.

Happy birthday, MI. Have a great day.

It's pouring here and I have a pile of ironing to do. Sad However on a happier note we're out for lunch with friends and DH seems to have recovered from his bike ride. I had a bad night: awake from 2.15 to about 4.30 and then DH woke me up at 6 because he was hungry and trying to creep downstairs to make himself an early breakfast. Hmm

I have bare nails too, in fact I have been trying to contact my manicurist without any success - I would like to get them sorted before I go to the scattering of ashes on a Sunday (vain).

Rosenspants · 05/06/2017 09:34

is it one of these Crem?

Happy Birthday MI 🎉🎁🍾🍹🍸🍺🥂🍷🎂🍰. Xxxx

I have just ordered this dress
and this snood as a consolation prize of the dress doesn't fit

DH is boarding his flight. DD is on Bitesize. I am making a shopping list for a trolley push later. My life is so rock and roll Hmm

Rosenspants · 05/06/2017 09:36

NU my gels are peeling off. My beautician is on holiday. How very dare she. Boo Hiss

hattymattie · 05/06/2017 10:31

I have bare toe nails because apparently (in the continuing saga of mouldy toe) I shouldn't put varnish on top.

In a total dementia moment today, I have put on a bra/delicate stuff wash, forgotten about it when finished and then slung in the next wash - socks and jeans on top of it. Hoping my bras survive! How exciting is my life!

IDismyname · 05/06/2017 11:26

I watched part of my ££ pedicure float down the plug hole last night Shock. I'm guessing my little toe didn't get zapped enough by the LED.

MI - I'd forgotten that I'd been scent (geddit?) a Miller Harris sample last year some time. It was lovely. It was off some website where you could order up to 3 samples for a £5 p&p inc. Or summat.

Just watching TM Live on T'interweb as I type.

Go me.

motherinferior · 05/06/2017 11:28

You can get samples from Feelunique. Hugely to my surprise I love Vetiver Insolent and this one.

IDismyname · 05/06/2017 11:34

I may well have picked up on the FeelUnique samples on this thread!

I may have to return to it, just to ascertain which ones I like.

Feel really 'Urgh' today. Crept out of dance class early. Just no energy. Cup of coffee and v plain chocolate piece has helped. Still got to walk dogs before downpour. Large ulcer on tongue.

Dunno whats up with my v tricky digestive system...

Cremolafoam · 05/06/2017 12:55

Ooh yes I have some vetiver from Feelunique - lovely.

Yes Rose, and Ms M it is this linen shift
I git the black and have the blue coming.
The finery one i kept is this one

FlipflopsOrWellieboots · 05/06/2017 13:57

Love that linen shift.... how are the sizes? I always assume French companies are small, very small and ridiculous child sized....
