MsMartini · 30/05/2017 13:45

MrsW, you enjoy yourself. We all need a break from being strong and stable...I find ds is more chatty when I have absented myself for a bit.

Grin at your nuanced crit, Hatty.

motherinferior · 30/05/2017 13:52

MrsW, I must say my presence doesn't seem to be madly needed.

Though I am glad I was around to handle Friday's wobble (ha!) and I think I should be around for results day - it slightly clashes with my aunt's 50 Years A Nun kneesup and my sister's lot (they live nearer her and are v fond of her) are abroad on hols, ditto my dad, so I should go (not actually my idea of fun) but although DP points out he'll be around I'm here and can do cuddles and ice-cream.

Aha, apparently she is off to "do history revision at Hannah's".Hmm

Modestine · 30/05/2017 13:55

I love the way Labour has adopted "weak and wobbly" as a catchphrase to use against May. They are being quite clever word-wise - cf "Dementia Tax".

Rosenspants · 30/05/2017 16:02

Don't feel bad MrsW.... they don't all need or want us hovering.

Just back after a lovely long walk in the sun, partly coastal, partly rural. Cross with DH for being on the phone to work for much of it..Now have to do script learning with DD...actually I quite like it. I'm getting to play all the characters in The Scottish Play Grin

msmargarita · 30/05/2017 16:36

Hattie, I thought that was MA in one scene. Thk you! Amazing hair like Carole king.

General crepeys - bought copy of Marie kondo in school jumble sale as thought people had expressed interest and I thought was useful if dotty but only have on kindle. Can hand over at mu or post if desired.

magimedi · 30/05/2017 17:29

Dreadful admission but am not sure whether I have read The Handmaids Tale or not Blush. If I have it was soon after it was published & have forgotten it.

Have spent most of the past few days watching Tennis - I do so love it.

motherinferior · 30/05/2017 17:39

I bet you did, MM. I just bet. Grin

bigTillyMint · 30/05/2017 18:01

I haven't read it. I'm sure of that Grin

Off out shortly to meet friends up west with DH. Must take DGodD's card...

MrsWobble3 · 30/05/2017 18:32

Forgot to mention earlier - we were moored up in Yarmouth at the weekend alongside a boat called Tillymint. I thought of you BTM.

Blackduck · 30/05/2017 20:03

Knackered... Early night.

Cremolafoam · 30/05/2017 20:04

Was it ok BD?

Cremolafoam · 30/05/2017 20:08

Finally got my orders from the Finery ( blue frocks)
And The Ordinary ( face goop)
Hmm not overwhelmed by the fabric of the dresses, but have succeeded in getting the exact colour i wanted in foundation. Will report back.
Also , if anyone is still administering a sunkissed glow in a bottle, i can highly recommend the Bondi Sands liquid gold. It is amazing!Smile

NoCureForLove · 30/05/2017 20:19

Hmm, sad to hear of fabric disappointment Crem. I ordered 2 dresses yesterday with the 25% off code - have not had anything from there before...

pink jersey dress and this rather bold choice!

Dreamqueen · 30/05/2017 20:26

Cream. I also did an Ordinary order. I've been following the skin care thread and while they say I might have left it a bit late in the day, I'm loving all the products.

I have the sort of problem only crepeys can fix. You know when something in the most important kitchen cutlery drawer gets in a funny position, meaning you can't open the drawer? And usually a bit of jiggling and poking around with a spatula sorts it out? We are now in day three of stuck drawer, and running out of options other than dismantling the whole kitchen.

It is entirely DP's fault, as he insisted on putting the scissors in there when I told him they'd caused a similar problem previously.

NoCureForLove · 30/05/2017 20:35

Stab dp with scissors - oh you can't he's stuck them in the drawer.... luckily for him.

Blackduck · 30/05/2017 20:38

Day in old job, three days in new coming up. My brain is trying to jug too much I think....
Lots to sort out re office including (I suspect) unhappy staff....

NoCureForLove · 30/05/2017 20:54

Is it going to be constant thing and fringe between 2 jobs BD or is this just a transition to the secondment post? Must be hard to know whether you're coming or going! No wonder you're tired.

Ds2 out at a concert so just me and dh at home. Frittata and salad for supper which took 10 mins to make and was no effort whatsoever - this is my future - no more slaving over meals I don't really want to eat to please / appease ds2. Bring it on!

NoCureForLove · 30/05/2017 20:55

"Thing and fringe" = "toing and froing"

motherinferior · 30/05/2017 22:07

I love Thing and Fringe.

bigTillyMint · 30/05/2017 22:47

Owner must be an old Scouser, MrsWGrin

MsMartini · 30/05/2017 23:54

I know about meals, Love. I am looking forward to having those hours back. Eggs, salad, oven chips maybe.

Herbs, can you get at it from below, possibly with piece of wire? Does the drawer bottom slide out if you push it up in the middle?

Cremolafoam · 30/05/2017 23:55

Well Nocure, just a bit on the thick side (Finery fabric , not me, hopefully). The one I ordered with short sleeves for wafting in Spain is by no means a wafting dress. Quite weighty and not floaty as I had imagined.
The long sleeve one, which is not unlike the pink one you've chosen is Building Society Violet, so def going back.Sad shame.

DQ I love my mini haul. You went mad ! Look at all that product! I have used the niacinamide goo after my shower this evening. Quite odd and dry feeling, but you can feel it working , I think HmmI loaded up with rosehip oil afterwards though lest I desiccated overnight.

Blackduck · 31/05/2017 05:59

NoCure - by July theory is ft in new role, but of course it won't be that simple..... It's the current transition that is hard (and I need to let go of some stuff - I know I do - I will need you wise people to tell me to on a regular basis)
