How? More detail please? Trying to work out if it is catastrophic!

motherinferior · 26/05/2017 12:26

Was planning lunch out en route to graduation but she is in tears so on bus back. Oh bugger.

motherinferior · 26/05/2017 12:27

Her text says: I really messed up on one part of my English because I mis read mrs biriling for mr Burlington so I wrote the essay wrong

Cremolafoam · 26/05/2017 12:30

Oh dear MI, it might not be disastrous. How much is the question worth? In the grand scheme it might not be worth much..

I have had my extremely dull shorts admired by two (2 ii) lovely older crepes in Lakeland.. i got them in a pound bargain type shop shop for a fiver to garden in. Lol 😂

Am inCosta now nibbling a crumpet but have forgone the coffee in case you are right MsM.

Ooh sea swimming sounds perfect.Wellies. Photo if sea view please!

MsMartini · 26/05/2017 12:38

I want to be in the sea! Or failing that a Lakeland having ny shorts admired.

Sent off work yesterday so tried to buy trousers today but have bought a wetsuit instead....we should have a MU Stropps. 😀

MI damn and blast but it will be limited marks. She should tell a teacher. Reassure her it is onwards and upwards - everyone misreads a question once....,in my case muddling the Hellespont with fallopian tubes

bigTillyMint · 26/05/2017 13:01

Oh poor DD, MI. I agree, its worth telling the school exams officer. And it may be not worth a lot of marks.

motherinferior · 26/05/2017 13:04

She is managing to smile...

NUFC69 · 26/05/2017 13:59

Ah, bless her, MI. No advice, but a lot of TLC, I think.

I have retreated indoors as it is too hot to be outside in the sun doing the containers. I have a table in the middle of the lawn so I don't drop compost everywhere, but unfortunately it's in brilliant sunshine. In any case I have to go to collect my NDNs from the airport in half an hour - weather in Spain has been mixed evidently.

bigTillyMint · 26/05/2017 15:28

Poor thing - how brave.

hattymattie · 26/05/2017 16:49

In exam cock ups - DD1 said today she thought a question wasn't the one she wanted and on re reading after the exam found it was the one she really did want. It appears even at uni they cannot read the questions properly.

Am going to console myself with Pimms - DS has bought Sprite instead of lemonade - contrary to instructions. Am hoping this will work.

Have been to sort out our China Visas - hopefully all will go smootly and then found a nice tapas bar for lunch with DH.

Dreamqueen · 26/05/2017 16:58

I've forgotton who originally posted about the Hotter Tourist sandals but just want to say thank you. I finally collected mine this morning & they are lovely. Contemplating buying either the red or blue ones now.

MsMartini · 26/05/2017 17:18

HOtter trotter peeps - how cushioned are the soles? Are they birkie-like?

NoCureForLove · 26/05/2017 17:48

I looked on Hotter to see what all the fuss was about - and found something I liked - the shame. Perhaps we'd better ship out of s and b and hole up in "Elderly Parents" or somewhere...

eyeing these in cobalt

Do you think they come up big or small or just right? #Goldilocks

Rosenspants · 26/05/2017 17:54

We've all done it MI...misread a question. as others have said it may not be worth that many marks. But it's over finished. Spilt milk and all that. She will have done well on other parts of the paper and as Tilly said maybe teachers can reassure? Poor love but she'll get past it.xx

My normal HRT is back....there may be light at the end of the tunnel but I may be begging some more...erm.... protection off DD for a while yet. And I have been pedicured at last...

Now to wrap DH's presents as it is his birthday to borrow. And I think I will lay Fri night dinner in the garden. The garden table is filthy but I shall ignore and cover with a cloth.

God I am in need of some summer clobber...

Rosenspants · 26/05/2017 17:56

Will look good with smartish work trews I think, Love however they are making me feel hot in this weather.....

NoCureForLove · 26/05/2017 18:06

Ta Rose - I can't wear sandals for work and would wear with trainer socks or bare feet.. they are a rather nice colour...

Your dh and my ds2 share a birthday - he has presents but I have to wrap - and cba atm. Assorted teens are in my garden with beer before a huge pizza order and off to karaoke... better find my credit card...

motherinferior · 26/05/2017 18:18

DD1 has gone out for pizza with mates from school. DD2 for ice cream etc ditto (someone's birthday). I am going to sit in the garden with pink wine.

Cremolafoam · 26/05/2017 18:26

Oh ice cream. I made some homemade cherry Garcia a few weeks ago. That night just be what I call 'dinner' tonight.

FlowersIhave heard from Waf and she is having a little break from MN Flowers

Dreamqueen · 26/05/2017 18:29

MrsMartini they have an arch support similar to Birkies but seem more cushioned. IYKWIM. Love I like the look of those too. Am I doomed forever now that I'm liking multiple Hotter shoes. BTW I got a code in my package, not sure if it is still valid but it's ERETMN (supposed to giev £10 off)

hattymattie · 26/05/2017 18:32

Oh Crap - now DD2 saying all exams went really badly, she'll be lucky to get a 2.2 and would rather do something with computing.

NoCureForLove · 26/05/2017 18:57

Thanks DQ, will give it a go - with £10 off it would be rude not to really....

Nod and smile Hatty, Nod and smile. And have a large drink

bigTillyMint · 26/05/2017 19:32

Cremo, is she OK? Hope it's not to do with the thing last weekend?

Stropperella · 26/05/2017 19:42

Aww, WAF mate, come back!!!!

MsMartini · 26/05/2017 19:47

WAF.....come back, the water's lovely and we miss you!

MrsKlugscheisser · 26/05/2017 20:21

So have I converted you all to Hotter? Grin One of mine was very comfy today, but the other one was less so. I need to go and pack and am dithering about whether to take them with me. I also need to decide what I am going to wear at this bloody conference.
