Just think - you could have been home dying your hair!
Hope the little songbird appreciated your sacrifice? is there a High Anglican Priest activity at Kidzania?

motherinferior · 13/04/2017 22:25

Ooh, GGG, I've been meaning to ask which purple shampoo you use! Is it the standard Provoke, or another?

I had gin and curry and now I want to sleep. Rock AND roll.

Auriga · 13/04/2017 22:30

Herbs - wait till he has to sing in a Candlemas service. Lots of processing round & round the church; mobs of clergy in pink robes & fur hats; bells, incense (this is C of E); prayers for everyone from Melchizedek to the Pope (yes, really) & I lost count of the number of times we had to light/extinguish our candles. This was more than I'd bargained for, I just wanted to hear DD's choir sing the anthem (2.5 minutes).

GiddyGiddyGoat · 13/04/2017 22:36

yes MI - but not when it's pastel pink... and not all the time or it goes a tad Mrs Slocombe....

magimedi · 13/04/2017 22:47

This is it Crem.

Purple shampoo - I am the expert as have been using it to keep my white hair gleaming - This is the best ever Don't bother with cheaper imitations - I have used the Wilko stuff & it does not do the job like L'Oreal does. It does not make your colur change - but it makes white hair gleam.

Sad day - very lovely funeral (if one can say that) & I was OK until the end when they played . I miss E so very much - she was a part of my daily life and she ain't there any more. My street feels diminished without here , I am astounded about how berefet I feel.

IDismyname · 13/04/2017 23:03

MM so sorry you've lost a good friend and neighbour Flowers

Lalsy · 13/04/2017 23:16

Awww, Magi, that is sad and touching. Do you know her family at all?

Jeez, Herbs, gold medal for you after last couple of days!

I've got some nasty coarse white hairs right at the front of my head. They remind me of someone I was scared of as a child. Can I do anything about them? Please remember my lack of manual dexterity.

CointreauVersial · 14/04/2017 00:32

Sorry for prolonged absence, crepeys - I'm fine, just busy.

Have been in Ireland for the last week, with a flying visit to Belfast. I thought of you, Crem, but we really weren't there long enough to meet up. Sad Loved the city - smaller than I expected, and a little "gritty" around the edges - but the people were sooo friendly. We will definitely go back. Then we hit the backroads over the border to PIL's. Appalling wifi combined with an action-packed schedule meant that I have barely looked at MN recently. We also missed out on the gorgeous UK weather, although we made it to the beach a couple of times without being blown into the sea.

One bit of good news - DSM had the all-clear - it was just a shadow on her lung after all, and scans showed no sign of cancer returning. Sooo relieved, just a shame that her 80th birthday passed with a massive cloud hung over it. We are going to spoil her rotten on Easter Sunday to compensate.

Have a lovely Easter, crepeys.

hattymattie · 14/04/2017 07:27

Hello CV - glad you've checked in and all is well. I am awake and ready for the Louvre. DS, who said we must be there by opening is still not downstairs, inspite of wake up call half an hour ago.

MM funeral sounds very moving.

Herbs - I'm not sure if that was the stations of the cross service. I remember that was interminable as a child.

bigTillyMint · 14/04/2017 08:06

CV, good to see ya - glad you had a great time over the water.

MM, sorry you are feeling Sad about losing your neighbour - she sounds like she was great.

Got the outlaws arriving laterConfused

Blackduck · 14/04/2017 08:38

24 hours of no decent/discernible wifi and left phone at home (do'h)

I have not bailed (yet) Crepeys.......

MM so sorry re neighbour.

I'd never dye my hair (coward) or do anything make-up related... Weird like that!

Love the cos coat.

Stropps may have to join you on the alcohol does me no good bench, but did enjoy a lovely Gibson from my care package (mucho thanks again Crepeys)

magimedi · 14/04/2017 08:48

Lovely to 'see' you, CV & good to hear the news re DSM.

Glad you haven't bailed, BD - how long are you there for?

Lalsy - yes I know the family & am having some of them (the local lot) round for lunch on Sunday as it is an awfully long week end for them.

Blackduck · 14/04/2017 09:27

Gibson? Gin!!
MM I am back home - but the project is on-going - it's whether I go on with it. We shall see - making no decisions at the minute.

magimedi · 14/04/2017 09:39

Isn't a Gibson a gin with a white cocktail onion in it?

That's what I thought you were drinking & was in awe of your sophistication Grin

motherinferior · 14/04/2017 09:59

BD. stick with it. Magi, Flowersand thank you for shampoo advice - I have been using Provoke because I didn't know if the glowing L'Oréal recommendations were just paid hype. I shall try it.

DP just brought me a pain choc In bed. poss as kindly hint to get up.

Candlemas is on the same day as the pagan spring festival of Imbolc. I know this because it is also DD1's birthday.

MI - The shampoo works best if you do a first wash with whatever else you normally use. Then a small amount of the purple one & leave it on for a couple of minutes.

The other range of shampoo that is amazing is Klorane Something for every hair type & it really does what it says on the tin.

bigTillyMint · 14/04/2017 10:16

MM, that is so kind of you having your neighbours family round for lunch.

An Easter tree? Is this a new fashion?!

BD, don't get the collywobbles! (no disrespect to MollyGrin)

Ooh looks gorgeous GGG, and thanks for the Bleach link. It may come in useful at some point. Are you pleased with your hair?
Magi, sorry for not responding last night, but I literally fell asleep in a chair. Dh had to put me to bed. I will now browse the website and thanks for relinking (not a word I realise) look interesting. Glad the funeral was kindly and fitting. But so sorry you are missing her presence . Flowers
CV, of all the weeks to come here, and I was up to my eyes with Irish prancing, jigs and wigs. I am sure the you saw some of them round and about. Glad you liked the miniature capital. People are friendly I think. Can't help ourselves.Grin hope you had a bit of craic our Wesht.
I am doing precisely nothing this Good Friday. Mostly lolling with cat. Dh is off work and is still in bed.
I have gained a stiff neck from work and lying in a stressed position asleep. Feel like my head is screwed on wrong.

bigTillyMint · 14/04/2017 10:25

But less excited about chocolate? Confused

Cremolafoam · 14/04/2017 10:28

Goat kid pics later ..

MrsSchadenfreude · 14/04/2017 10:36

DH went out with his GBF last night and had so much to drink he could barely walk. He is still in bed...

CV, good news about DSM.

Lots of shampoo advice. I used to use the Klorane mango in France and it was fab, particularly the conditioner.

Glad I have a long weekend - will try not to think about work and the misery of all there.

I have had no alcohol since my D&S with you lot. It has just fallen off my radar.

Great news about DSM CV.

I'm going to slather my hair in coconut oil for an hour and do a provoke shampoo as highlights looking a little yellow.
