I am jealous that CV is putting her winter wardrobe away: I had started wearing a short sleeved nightie, but have reverted to the long sleeved fleece pyjamas the last couple of nights.

Lalsy, I have a battery operated epilator which is ok, but not brilliant. And on the subject of hair, facial and otherwise, can anyone tell me why I have more hair on one side of my body: eyebrows, legs, etc?

MI, your day sounds lovely. It's good to keep in touch with old friends. DH is just emailing his department secretary from when we were in our early 20s.

bigTillyMint · 17/04/2017 20:48

God, poor DH. It seems that they have another leak. On top of all the other crap he is dealing with at work atm. It really beggars belief what he's had to and is having to deal with.

motherinferior · 17/04/2017 22:14

Leak? Plumbing or press?

Lalsy · 17/04/2017 23:26

NU, how intriguing!

MI, sounds like a top day.

Herbs, really good luck with the new job - when do you start?

bigTillyMint · 18/04/2017 06:35

Plumbing, MI - flooded. Again.
But actually, that is the least of his worries in terms of stuff he has to deal with at work ATM. At least he didn't have to trek over there last night to deal with it.

Herbs, good luck! Not that you will need it, of courseEaster Smile

Montypulciano · 18/04/2017 06:53

Break a leg, Herbs! Bet you will be a star ⭐️

Don't want to go to work. At. All.

motherinferior · 18/04/2017 06:57

Best of luck, Herbs.

Time to run...

hattymattie · 18/04/2017 06:59

Good luck in your new job HerbsSmile

IDismyname · 18/04/2017 07:03

Yay go Herbs on your new job!

Am still in bed. Tsk tsk. Ignoring BBC news on N Korea. Lalalalalalalala

Off to see The Miser tonight. Hope it's good.

NUFC69 · 18/04/2017 10:05

Herbs, when do you start, is it today? The DC here have the rest of the week off, so I had just assumed that you did, too. The best of luck. FlowersStar

Did DH sort out the plumbing, BTM?

It's still cold here, but sunny. Off to the park this afternoon.

motherinferior · 18/04/2017 10:38

My two are still here.

I am not looking forward to the 11.15 announcement from TM.

magimedi · 18/04/2017 10:39

Good luck, Herbs. Knock 'em for six.

Am now waiting for the 11.15 announcement from the PM. Hope it's a snap election & nothing to do with North Korea.

Cremolafoam · 18/04/2017 10:50

Have a list of to dos a mile long, but today is a BH here as we work GF -mostly, well it's very confusing, and no one knows what's happening. But it's still a holiday for public servants. I'll shut up now.

Picnic yesterday was damp, under a brolly and wet underfoot. Was in thermals, and couldn't actually feel my hands after an hour. The country park was jammed with other people doing the same thing. When the sun came out for a tiny moment a big cheer went up. Ah the good old NI bank holidayGrin
Basically had a veggie burger 🍔 in a bap, a quick walk with dsis and dog and came home to warm up.

No Cloud, do not look at the news. Now Trump is costing up to Erdogan.

Can I please survey on front door colours Crepes. Trying to decide and finding the choice mind blowing.
Am thinking of worsted which is basically grey. The sills are pale dove grey and the soffits and piping at black gloss.
Boring in the extreme or dripping with sophistication?

Cremolafoam · 18/04/2017 11:08

Ooh GENERAL ELECTION Shock

motherinferior · 18/04/2017 11:10

Well, that's the Labour Party up the wotsit without a wotsit...

NUFC69 · 18/04/2017 11:12

So a General Election on 8th June. I suppose it's better than going to war with North Korea.

Crem, DS has a similar colour on his front door, but the house is off white and it looks stunning. What about yours?

hattymattie · 18/04/2017 11:39

Lib Dems anyone?

herbaceous · 18/04/2017 11:40

Yup - starting today! First lesson any minute now!

Boo to general election. Nearly as bad as nuclear war.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 18/04/2017 13:11

this is our front door and this is what I fancy next time...

GiddyGiddyGoat · 18/04/2017 13:11

Good Luck Herbs! Hope it all gets off to a good start. X

Cremolafoam · 18/04/2017 13:13

Yes our cottage bungalow is feldspar chip pebble dash which is white and grey, so it would tone ok I think NU.
cloud any opinion ? You being into this kind of thing?

I didn't think the world could get any more dissatisfying, but it has, at least TM the PM hasn't abdicated and put Boris in charge of the country. Christ on a Bike.

Others around me seem to have the headache, dodgy tummy vomiting bug ( nephew. good friends) so it is doing the rounds this Easter.

Herbs thinking of you today. ( imagining Herbs as the marvellous Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society)
Best of What's Left Of British.

Cremolafoam · 18/04/2017 13:18

GGG I have railings on the downpipes, guttering etc. In this light ( northern gloom) it just looks black with no hint of blue at all. I do like Brinjal but dh doesn't. The decking is a muted Tauoe grey so I was planning to go for a greyish tauoe theme. Or just forgetting all that and going for Sudbury Yellow Grin

GiddyGiddyGoat · 18/04/2017 13:21

LOVE yellow and grey. If you're going yellow then go large - we have this in a downstairs loo and it's fab.

motherinferior · 18/04/2017 13:33

Our front door is that colour. So is some of our hallway.
