Ugg Wilcox boots

Happy new year everyone!! As my Christmas present I have ordered a pair of these lovely boots but my friend who has them says they are a suede kind of leather. I really need them for muddy parks and dog walking so they need to be able to stand up to that. Does anyone have any and can tell me how robust they are?

Can't believe nobody has posted feet shots yet!

.......that sounded less pervy in my head.......

AlphaVTango · 25/01/2017 08:44

Aarrghh - been umming and aahing over these boots and this thread has made me buy them! Can't wait for them to arrive Smile

CheeseFlavouredDiscs · 25/01/2017 13:39

Ooh, so these arrived today....

Fit is 95% perfect. They are big enough (hooray!) which was my biggest concern as I'm frequently an 8.5 in shoes. However, there is a slight pinch to the fit where my toes sit across the boot, mainly felt on my little toe. To be fair, I do sometimes have to get a wider fit in shoes (again this is typically places where I need the size 8.5) I'm currently wearing them around the house to get a feel for whether they might 'give' a bit over time, or whether I will just get blisters... I shall await developments.

Overall they are exceptionally comfy and i'm slightly in love. I'm really hoping they aren't going to rub because I can't bear to part with them. I never find nice boots that don't have heels so high I can't walk in them, so I really really want to keep them!

Elendon · 25/01/2017 13:44

Mine are going to arrive in an hour. I'm now counting down the minutes. My feet are cold and I need the warmth of these boots. These are a big treat to me from money my mum gave me at Christmas. I rarely spend so much on myself.

I may wear them to bed tonight. Smile

polyhymnia · 25/01/2017 13:54

Thanks, solo. Another question. They clearly come up higher than ankle. Are you all tucking your jeans/ trousers in to them, rolling them (the jeans), or what?

ScarlettDarling · 25/01/2017 14:22

Let's have some feet shots!!! And outfit inspiration to wear them with!

Just had email saying mine have been dispatched, yay!

Jesterstolehisthornycrown1 · 25/01/2017 14:50

Oooh I put a pair of the stout size 6 in my basket and was humming and hawing all morning, they are bloody sold out now. BUT you say get a bigger size? So I should order the 7 then? I'd have wide feet too.
I need to order fast as I really want the stout they are beautiful boots and selling out fast.

Elendon · 25/01/2017 16:41

They have arrived. So pleased. They are a snug fit, despite being a size bigger than I normally take. I have one foot a half size bigger than the other though. So just to recap. I'm a five/five and a half, but ordered six. Says 6.5 on the box, but no way, I'm glad I ordered up as they are a tad difficult to get on. Ordered Stout and the colour is gorgeous as are the buckles. They are like oiled leather/suede to feel, but look like worn leather . My feet are toasty and warm.

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 25/01/2017 16:44

I'm tucking trousers into the boots (but i'm old and unfashionable and still in skinnies Wink). The buckle on the stout colour is like very dirty brass, not a shiny gold if that helps anyone make up their mind?

Will post a photo in a minute when I find my phone

scottgirl · 25/01/2017 16:51

Mine arrived today. I'm sooooo happy with them. Utterly gorgeous and fit perfectly. I'm a UK 4 (37) and ordered a 4. The box says 4.5 (37). Don't want to take them off!

Sallystyle · 25/01/2017 17:14

I just ordered the stout leather ones.

I'm a size 5, got a 5.5 as it was all they had so hoping they will be ok.

Have been very naughty and when the 7's were too tight (am normally a 7) I ordered some 8's in the other colour.

The bigger ones are much better, there's a bit of movement at the back, feel more 'wellyish' to wear but no more squished and rubbed toes! Side by side with my other shoes and boots, the 8's look more similar in size to my normal 7's, the Wilcox 7's look smaller and slimmer.

The stout is a really dark chocolatey colour, more so than I expected, but very nice!

I would recommend wearing with tights or longer socks though, inner calves are a bit sore from where the sheepskin has rubbed at the top of the boot during a walk.

PersisFord · 25/01/2017 18:28

I'm wearing mine with black opaque tights, a black pencil skirt and a cream jumper. And when I wear jeans I tuck them in. I am v unfashionable in general but I feel lovely in these!

CateGory8 · 25/01/2017 20:46

I'm wearing mine with leggings, long t-shirt, long chunky cardigan and thin cashmere scarf. I'm not stylish or fashionable as you can see from the mental imaginary.

Stout ones are now waiting at a collection point, will pick up tomorrow.

PersisFord · 25/01/2017 20:47

I want the stout ones too........Sad

PersisFord · 25/01/2017 20:48

I would wear the stout with blue straight leg jeans either turned up or maybe just kind of rumpled above.

My black ones have been dispatched, I can't wait to get them! It's probably just as well the stout has sold out in size 6 as if the black ones fit I'd be really tempted to order them as well Blush

HighDataUsage · 25/01/2017 23:36

I got mine today and they are so lovely and comfy, my kids have been wearing them around the house and want me to buy a pair for them! I want a proper cold snap to test out how cosy and warm my feet stay, my feet were always cold in my other boots. These are an absolute bargain and I am tempted to buy the pair in stout. It's also the first time I've bought footwear online without trying them on first and they fit like a glove!

Mine have just arrived and I'm wondering the same as Rudy , they are really stiff to the point where I don't think I'd be able to drive in them. Can anyone report back as to whether they soften up a bit.

I'm not sure about them tbh. My size 7s fit well, (I'm usually between a 6.5 and a 7 depending on width of shoe, I have wide feet,) but they're v gapey around the top. Don't know if I'm just used to long boots. I'm tall and maybe shorter boots just look a bit funny on me?

Also, I got the 'stout' and they're darker than I hoped. Actually I thought at first they'd sent me black by mistake.

Think I might be returning them Sad

MumBod · 26/01/2017 09:46

I got mine in the back of this thread. I love them.

I wore mine last night to a Margo Price gig with grey skinnies, a khaki Hush t-shirt with a white Bowie flash across it, a denim shirt over the top and a grey and green scarf.

Comfy as anything and I was standing all night.

MumBod · 26/01/2017 09:46

On the back. Not in.

MumBod · 26/01/2017 09:48

Thinking about it, I had them on all day because I wore them with blue girlfriend jeans crumpled into them. Did loads of walking and my feet stayed warm and comfy all day.

V tempted to get the black at that price.

Mrs9C · 26/01/2017 10:15

Oooh yes, feet shots please! Mine aren't due for delivery until MONDAY! It's too long!
