herbs you are famous!!! Grin

I am rooting for GGG and DS...best of luck. Also for other results...GCSE maths was it? The waiting so awful.

MrsS positive news re DD1's Uni applications!

Molly Flowers...another lot of stressful waiting...

Tilly hope there is some news from DS and that the treatment is improving the immediate situation... Flowers

waf thinking of you...hope the appointment goes well and you have a definite plan at the end of it which will put an end to your discomfort.

Lalsy BD lol at "University" station. I didn't quite believe it, til I saw it, and have used it quite a lot (although there's much less over crowding at Five Ways). It's right on campus!

Sorry for your marital angst Cocoa Flowers I don't have the best record in that department so I'll leave the advice to other Crepeys...

Am tired and sluggish still and fed up with everyone around me. DD is lolling having had her arrangements cancelled for today as friend is ill. Roll on next week when she's back at college. I've got that "can't be bothered" feeling which is SO debilitating... Still plenty of singing going on with new choir last night and individual lesson today.

wordassociationfootball · 11/01/2017 10:20

Tests at Thomas's, then unless unlikely result from that, operation - perhaps in July. V nice woman, glad to be under her care. Plus 'accidentally' nicked 2 trashy mags. She had a suggestion for timing meds differently but I will have to make friends with this eating/sleeping routine for now. It is working better, so should manage.

wordassociationfootball · 11/01/2017 10:22

Rose, thank goodness for the singing. Dd2 has gone back to school today, yeeeeees!

bigTillyMint · 11/01/2017 10:49

WAF that sounds like a good result for today? I would hate not being able to eat what I wanted when I wanted so really feel for you although I could do with losing a stone

Looks like DS will be discharged this afternoon, but we have specialist coming in half an hour to make a forward plan I hope.
A massage does indeed sound like a good idea! I have also got a weekend away to look forward to - trying to time in-laws visit Wink

Cremolafoam · 11/01/2017 11:04

Herbs, looking fine girl! You look great in the red dress, bigger tits or nay. Mine have definitely inflated, annoyingly, making me feel matronly. Gah!

BTM, hope you slept a bit better last night. Will they let ds out this afternoon? Can't imagine the toll this is having on the family BTM. Sending you steel for nerves, and love ❤️

MI glad you found a friend to spend time with. I think travelling alone can be liberating, but also wearing, especially when you could do with some looking after yourself.

Cocoa, oh hell. I'd be making an appointment at Relate. They will see you on your own to talk about your feelings and help you make decisions. Wishing you strength. It's a lot to be dealing with given the last couple of months. Flowers

Waf, that's interesting about the timings for pill taking. I know that did make a difference for me. Hope the waiting list for op isn't too long, although I know it's not going to be a doddle to organise.

Molly, I missed the C sitch completely as well. Dear goodness, you poor thing. Hand holding into the next few weeks.

Fingers and toes crossed for Goat Minor and Rudy Jr.

Dh is v poorly and will need major propping at funeral tomorrow. Sad

I am trying to look ahead at summer hols. What do we know of Corsica, dear Crepeys ?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 11/01/2017 11:23

YAY! Good news this morning for ds2. Very pleased indeed for him.
Mrs W are you waiting for similar news?? Fingers crossed for you too.

motherinferior · 11/01/2017 11:24

I now have two (2,ii) meetings scheduled for Friday, followed by an evening in a bar which may also feature a catholic priest ShockGrin

It's the "other place" Rudy!

motherinferior · 11/01/2017 11:40

Yay to Billy the Kid! Might it be Monty's and my holy alma mater?

GiddyGiddyGoat · 11/01/2017 11:41

Indeed it is MI!

Lalsy · 11/01/2017 11:41

Yay for Kid Minor! Fantastic.

WAF, glad you have someone you can trust. ANd BTM, I hope the consultant can offer some form of plan.

Crem, good idea re summer. A friend went to Corsica last summer and had a great time - lovely beaches and food.

I have been awake since four and am a bit deranged. Annoying people had best keep their distance today.

NUFC69 · 11/01/2017 11:57

Good luck to all facing health appointments. And Cocoa, sorry to hear of your DH problems. BTM, keep on hanging in there. How is DD coping with the stress? MI, all the Catholic priests I know are very comfortable in bars....

Adele, I have just thought some more about food and Seahouses: there is a lovely country pub at Newton on the Moor called the Cook and Barker. They do great food; you might want to book, though, as it does tend to get very busy.

CV, I spent a day on Corsica a couple of years ago - it's a very attractive island and we enjoyed our day up in the mountains.

You look fantastic, Herbs: I love the red dress. How is DP now? Is everything sorted out.

The physio has been and given me some more exercises; including doing a 'bridge' on the bed - now that will be interesting.

motherinferior · 11/01/2017 12:03

I would just like to add that apparently both Inferiorettes have done well in recent exams (DD1's was history coursework - an A*, splendid). They might start believing they're quite bright one of these days...Hmm

Rosebag · 11/01/2017 12:59

Top news GGG Hurrah for DS2!

Sounds like a plan WAF

Crem Has DH caught what you had? Oh poor you two.. Flowers On a happier note, we have been to Calvi in Corsica and absolutely loved it.

NU is the pain under control now?

MI I am interested in a smutty sort of way, about the feature of your catholic priest Shock Glad some nice meet ups are on the horizon and the DDs have got good grades Smile

I have sung (Quilter....very beautiful and melancholy and very difficult) . I have been persuaded to take DD out this afternoon to collect a 1000 piece puzzle case (she's a jigsaw puzzle wizard), from Hobby Craft...we have one at the flat but I am relieved she wants to do them at home as well...perhaps it'll get her off my case.

Auriga How are you?

Auriga · 11/01/2017 13:22

Getting a bit better thanks Rose. Sorry you are still under the weather, hope singing helps.

Many congratulations to Lalsy's & GGG's & MI's clever offspring (and Hattie's and MrsS's and others, sorry can't keep up with all their achievements).

Managed to get through training course despite strikes, though I stayed overnight in London instead of struggling home & back. Made me feel a bit elderly & feeble but then I genuinely am feeble atm.

Decided to come off FB for now & in the course of sorting it out I found a PM which I'd completely missed Blush have now replied. Many apologies to the sender Flowers I mention it here in case you look at PMs as rarely as I do. Will check more often now.

DD has finished mocks and had a pyjama day before going back to school. Still waiting to hear from last university. She told us she dreamed that we all went to Mars, which to me sounded like a leaving-home dream Grin

motherinferior · 11/01/2017 15:15

Also gripped by the You Know What allegations...!

hattymattie · 11/01/2017 15:30

Wow GGG - fantastic news for DS2 - many congratulations. Great news for Lalsy's son too.

Cocoa - so sorry to hear of stressy DH - sounds like you definitely need counselling in the first instance.

WAF - good to have an action plan.

Crem - sending strength to you and DH to get through tomorrow. I haven't been to Corsica personally, but know lots of people who have and they all say it's absolutely gorgeous.

Please could somebody PM me a link to Herb's boobs as I missed it.

hattymattie · 11/01/2017 15:31

... missed themHmm

Lalsy · 11/01/2017 15:45

Auriga, love the Mars dream!

MI, I know. Watched clips of Obama's speech at lunchtime. What a contrast.......[sob]

herbaceous · 11/01/2017 16:12

I am in love with Obama. And Mrs Obama.

Me and my boobs are now mercifully hard to find online. The red dress wasn't mine, but the photographer's. As were the nude rights and sling backs, mercifully out of shot. I wasn't exactly misquoted, but somewhat dramatised. Must remember to buy a copy on the way home...

Lalsy · 11/01/2017 17:16

Me too, herbs. Talk about rising above the fray.

I found you. You look fab.

MrsWobble3 · 11/01/2017 17:51

GGG, congrats to ds2 - you must all be rightly pleased and proud. Not such good news for us - dd3 got a no. She is a bit upset I think, a bad telephone line and a heavy cold probably don't explain the entire wobbliness but I think she is upset by being rejected rather than not going to Oxford if you see what I mean. So she will bounce back pretty quickly I think. Yesterday she was very happy with any of the 4 offers she has and I'm pretty certain she'll be back to that position tomorrow. I'd rather she wasn't at boarding school tonight though.

Re Corsica, we went to Calvi many years ago and agree with whoever has already said it was beautiful. It was a holiday with the in laws and still good.

And S&B news: I've just paid £22 for black cigarette pants in Topshop that are way nicer, and fit better, and are more flattering than the far more expensive pair I bought in Selfridges some years ago. They are so good I'm thinking about buying a second pair to keep in reserve. If any of you wear black trousers as a work staple I recommend you take a look.
