do these men have no idea how this looks? 20 years younger - yeah right.

CointreauVersial · 23/01/2017 08:17

Happy Birthday Rose! Have a lovely day.

I had no idea what Apple Tree Yard was, and have just Googled. Might give it a go, and see what all the fuss is about.

Off to work to deal with the post-move fall-out. I predict lots of crawling under desks and hunting for extension leads and lost boxes, so have worn something stretchy.

bigTillyMint · 23/01/2017 08:23

Happy Birthday Rose!

I didn't watch Apple Tree Yard (Call The Midwife and CBB are the limit of my high-brow TV-watching ATM!) - was it about geneticists or partners with a huge age-gap?Confused

Not looking forward to scraping the car.

Blackduck · 23/01/2017 08:41

Happy Birthday Rose.

Ds was wobbly this morning so I didn't go in, then he decided he would go to school. I decided I'd take the day off. Last week was very hard and frankly I need a break....

bigTillyMint · 23/01/2017 09:02

Good plan, BD.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 23/01/2017 09:09

Good for you, BD. Monday's off are worth double other days.

Happy birthday Rose. Lovely pictures - love your hair at the moment....

The fog is blinding here today. Can't see 10 feet.

Mocks results are dribbling in. Very very surprising Confused one A, one B and one C. Quite how that happened with no work, homework and low attendance!!

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/01/2017 09:25

Rudy, yes, it is very odd. Almost all of my friends from when the girls were in primary school have split up. One left her husband for another woman, but is now with another man. Almost all of them left their husbands for someone else, rather than the man leaving.

bigTillyMint · 23/01/2017 09:27

Beachy, that's fab! Must have been the first-rate revision supportGrin

Cremolafoam · 23/01/2017 09:32

Happy birthday Rose.

CBB?

BD, do something indulgent today. And/or loll in bed with a book.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 23/01/2017 09:49

Celebrity Big Brother, MI.

Just found a whole basket of all the odd socks we were missing in dd1 room. Oooooh, the satisfaction (sad housewife face)

Need a new thread, ladies.....

MontserratCaballe · 23/01/2017 09:51

Happy birthday Rose. Hope you have a lovely day. Weekend looked wonderful. What a beautiful family you have.

BD, make sure you do something nice for you rather than just domestic drudge.

Not really keeping up - will try to get ahead with some chores then catch up. New thread needed soon too - any ideas?

motherinferior · 23/01/2017 10:06

Just rang my dad dutifully. Oh, he said, I'm off to South Africa Envy

addle · 23/01/2017 10:49

Tempted to suggest "Crepey pussies say no" Grin

hattymattie · 23/01/2017 11:24

Happy Birthday Rose - agree you have a lovely family.

I quite enjoyed ATY but I did think it was supposed to be a political thriller and as there are 14 episodes I am assuming that this aspect will develop. I also find Ben Chaplin rather attractive.

I could not be with a guy 30 years older, I do have a friend with a husband 25 years older and they are very happily married but all the references from youth are different - he likes the Rolling Stones, she the Human League etc. I find Melania and Trump look very mismatched.

Still below freezing here. Have been very cultured this weekend and went to an art exhibition at the Louis Vitton Centre - beautiful Monets, Gauguins and Matisses everywhere. I'd love a Matisse, just a small one in my living room.

MI - sorry you're feeling low - but it's good that DF has taken himself off to South Africa rather than sitting being depressed.

Crem - hope you're feeing a little better today.

Lalsy · 23/01/2017 12:08

Oooh, that would be good, Hatty. I found the huffing and puffing in cupboards and alleys a bit dull and BC creepy.

Beachy, that's good, hope it helps give a bit of reassurance or help planning what's next.

motherinferior · 23/01/2017 12:11

Only four (4, iv) episodes and having read the book no it's not a political thriller....pity, that!
