Hey don't forget my nail oil

botemp · 15/12/2016 22:31

and how could we forget Surratt, much obsessing over that too

AuroraPolaris · 15/12/2016 22:31

And I basically want the whole Gucci SS17 collection

AuroraPolaris · 15/12/2016 22:33

Or just call it P50 and some other skincare

yongnian · 15/12/2016 22:39

Could we mention the Stila palette in the new title? Grin
Something seems to be working well on my cheeks...less red, pores seem smaller....thinking niacinamide tho have used some BHA there (but only three times)
Continuing to refine my technique with the Stila, using minimal finger application. I think it just works well because I have such uneven skin tone generally itjust givesa level playing field for concealer/TM to do their thing

AuroraPolaris · 15/12/2016 22:45

OMG can't believe we forgot the palette... well maybe it's because they haven't sent mine yet!

botemp · 15/12/2016 22:50

How to Stila Get Some Fantastic Skincare P50 and Miscellaneous Stuff, Fully Fledged Nerds and Nerds-In-Training All Welcome Grin

yongnian I was thinking those baby beauty blenders (but the cheapos from Primark PS that are supposed to be even better) would work well with the Stila palette. Have we mentioned the Stila palette enough now to get one for free already, we're bloody micro influencers over here, we deserve some free shit!

wiltingfast · 15/12/2016 22:55

That was me bo! I'm looking for a nice gentle oil that would be good for massage. More sensory I suppose Smile Am a reactive to oils but it's a bit of a dream!

Also want a deep clean one for occasional use.

wiltingfast · 15/12/2016 22:56

Was looking at the NIOD Sanskrit, that AB Rose stick looks intriguing. Then I thought maybe one of the Clarins oils might be nice instead...

Not v decisive!

AuroraPolaris · 15/12/2016 22:57

And I want Clarins to bring my cleanser back plus life supply of Lotus Oil so I can have a bath in it if I fancy

wiltingfast · 15/12/2016 22:59

How do you use the stila yongnian? I find it so difficult to neutralise my purple under eye. It's not huge but so dark.

botemp · 15/12/2016 23:06

Sensitive to oils how? Essential oils?

Cleansing oils have an emulsifier in it that react with water so cleansing ability isn't related to types of oil (though this does influence a bit) but the presence of the emulsifier.

NIOD Sanskrit sounds a bit hocus pocus to me, not that that's a bit thing but I don't really follow how that keeps cleansing you the day after, or something like that Confused. Someone on here was using it and liking it, may be worth trying. It has amino acids in it (as does my beloved facial wash from Japan and much of the reason I think it's so good, it cleanses pores out really well).

I've never tried the AB Rose Stick but it is much liked and very nice to the nose I believe. Probably a nice treat and less functional.

EnidButton · 16/12/2016 00:47

Hormones are a butch.

EnidButton · 16/12/2016 00:48

Bitch even. Blush

I regretted putting the Kiehl's on tonight as my skin feels reactive
but didn't want to wash again in case that made it worse. Still, I'm noticing these things more now so that's good.

hollinhurst84 · 16/12/2016 02:46

Thought I would do a little skin roundup
I've been using the ordinary since the beginning of September
Have finished the alpha a, still on the first bottles of retinol, niaci and HA/B5

My skin looks smoother, pores look smaller and the tone is more even with a lot less redness. Nothing is making me break out (winner!)

I've done another order so I'm happy with it. The only thing I can't solve is my hormonal breakouts - they are always on my chin, the rest of my skin is perfect but I get lots of little spots, some are teeny ones but usually multiple. I'm guessing with it being hormonal, there's only so much skincare can do? Because it's not the skincare making me spotty, if that makes any sense at all!

Other reviews (for some reason I keep buying Korean...!)

Mizon snail gel - nice as an occlusive but doesn't work alone as moisturiser for me. Would be better in summer but I like it as a top sealing in layer

Heimish all clean balm
Love. Will repurchase. Soft balm, melts to an almost milk and not greasy, doesn't leave residue and has a v faint smell. Annihilates makeup

Secret key 24k first cream - I keep repurchasing. I'm not sure if it actually does anything other than moisturise but it's cheap and I know it doesn't make me spotty plus it's pleasant to use. I use a lot of active stuff so this is just needed to moisturise but it has EGF and niaci in I believe

Etude house face blur primer
LOVE, love, love. Makes a fab base, SPF 50, and seems to even/brighten skin. Not a silicone feeling primer either. Wouldn't use for a night out as SPF gives flashback on photos

As an addition I am really liking the makeup geek highlighters (I have two different colours) and Lancôme teint idole 24hr foundation. Makes skin look healthy but not caked on

AuroraPolaris · 16/12/2016 07:39

That's great to hear hollin! That primer does sound nice.

In order to further our SPF discussion yesterday I tried to mix the Anessa whitening SPF with my CC cream (in my hand) and it looked pretty good. No parches or balling or peeling.

Also - the MS mask I used yesterday worked well too. Quite plumping and glow enhancing.

In more mask news but for feet - this time I left the Tony Moly booties on for two hours and peeling started already on day six. Hope I'll be done by Xmas Xmas Wink

wiltingfast · 16/12/2016 09:50

Crap, brought back the Laura Mercier primer and took a bare minerals one instead. EXACTLY the same story. Big flash, red face. Is this normal for primer? I've never really worn it before.

Plus it makes my face feel dry, but I think that might be the tightening effect to "blur" pores etc?

Not sure it improves the look of my foundation anyway to be honest. I'm going ot have to source a new one, hate that job...

Or maybe I should check out your etude one Hollin Smile where do you buy? Your skin looks perfect though, mightn't have the same effect on me!

hollinhurst84 · 16/12/2016 10:00

eBay Smile

Pupsiecola · 16/12/2016 10:06

I rarely use primer but when I do I use a Bare Minerals one. Just in case you wanted to go for a third time lucky.

We have a kitchen floor!!!!

Someone else do the new thread. I'm delegating. My father in law went in for an angiogram yesterday. It's not good news. His arteries are very blocked and one is 99% blocked. He's been told to call an ambulance if he has any breathlesness or pain etc. But he lives alone in a house he's been building for 30+ years (no heating, no hot running water, 70 acres of woodland - that is why my DH cannot abide DIY btw. 7 years spend in a mobile home as a kid whilst they tried to live The Good Life).

So, please think up a fab title ladies...

Pupsie so sorry to hear about FIL. What a situation Xmas Shock Hope things go well. But you have a kitchen floor!!!!!!!!!!

Wilting TO are bringing out a primer soon. Maybe you can wait for that? I'm no primer expert but I do have the Hylamide one but I use it only on cheeks and not very often. It's a bit much on the whole face for daytime.

botemp · 16/12/2016 10:28

Pupsie Flowers

I'll put up the next thread, complaints about terrible tittles will have to be directed at me Xmas Grin

AuroraPolaris · 16/12/2016 10:31

Ok you do it bo I'll only have time in a couple of hours and god forbid we have no thread for that long!!!
