How did you do your make up when you were at school?

When I was about 13-16 (about 20 years ago now) I used to buy Laura Paige powder from my local chemist (not seen that brand for years) and put loads all over my face. I hadn't discovered liquid foundation so just used the powder I probably used a shade too orange too

I then wore Rimmel lipstick in coffee shimmer or this really pale frosted pink lipstick.

I think I used mascara but that was it.

I scraped my hair back into a pony tail on top of my head, using half a bottle of hairspray and finished off with a scrunchie.

Loving the no-bra feminist vibe.

Does anyone remember the foundation you had to mix with water? A Max Factor, I think. Inevitably you'd spit on it instead....yuck!

I have horrible memories involving bright pink/electric blue eyeshadow and Cleopatra style eye liner.

Wore very little make-up to school: only a small number of girls wore anything that was noticeable. Usually for me it was just a clear lip balm (Body Shop Passionfruit in the wee pot was a fave) or a lightly tinted one. One coat of brown or clear mascara on lashes - something like Collection 2000 or Boots Naturals.

Used good old Hide the Blemish when the spots appeared and also some Max Factor Crème Puff in Sand Beige or Candlelight....both of which probably made me look a bit orange but I don't think ever horrifically so.

Heather and Coffee Shimmers were for going out at weekend, when some extra mascara and a bit of rimmel eyeshadow were also employed to make me look older.....

I thought I looked the bees knees!

Pressed powder, a shade or two too dark, as I was not too impressed with my pale skin, lots of concealer for my acne, mascara that I kept too long and it went clumpy. Purpley eyeshadows if I recall correctly. And dewberry perfume. When I was about 16 I think I pushed the boat out and bought some Tommy Girl perfume and CK One.

Oh and I used Sun-In in my hair too.
