M&s beauty calendar

Ivytheterrible · 09/11/2016 13:17

So I want the fabled beauty calendar but I can't find anything to buy on the m&s website.

I need...
New ankle boots
A LBD
Dressy tops for evenings out.
But there is nothing I even want to try on!

I have 3 children aged 1-6 but can only find new socks for them.

What can I buy? Confused

I am happy with todays nail file.

Really sad that this will all be over soon. One of the best purchases ever!!

I am thinking about what will be on 25th. I reckon maybe a scarlet lipstick?

Or a teardrop sized Creme de la Mer Xmas Grin

OverScentedFanjo · 22/12/2016 10:46

Love today's.

AmethystMoon · 22/12/2016 11:20

Ah yes, there is a Christmas Day box too! I thought advent calendars stopped on the 24th......not that I am complaining Xmas Grin

CointreauVersial · 22/12/2016 12:59

Nice little file! It has gone straight into my handbag.

The hand cream from Day 1 has been removed from my desk drawer and relegated to "night time" hand cream - it works very well, but takes ages to soak in, and I'd had enough of greasy fingerprints on all my paperwork. Funnily enough, the only other Neal's Yard product I've ever used was a moisturiser, and that was exactly the same - just sat on my skin like a greasy mask.

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 22/12/2016 13:05

I didn't even notice the box for the 25th!! Fantastic! In my day, advents finished on Xmas Eve.

auberginesrus · 22/12/2016 15:34

I have to say my favourite product from thosearch I've tried is the eye cream, has worked wonders on my under eye bags. Love the hair oil too and the eyeliner. The lip crayon is lovely but exactly the same colour as my lips. I'm using it anyway as it's quite moisturising and gives them a nice sheen. Used the Elastiser on my 13 yo ds long, thick curly hair and it worked wonders! Very disappointed to report the filorgia does nothing for me despite my wrinkles Xmas Confused

Pengweng · 22/12/2016 15:52

I love the nail file. I use the full size version so this is going in my handbag. I wish it had a little case though like the full size version.

Dillite2 · 22/12/2016 19:58

I have to say that I am very impressed with the M&S nail varnish. I applied it on Sunday, have been on holiday all week, and it is only now that it is slowly starting to show signs of wear and tear.

AmethystMoon · 23/12/2016 01:04

Today's looks good. Impressive reviews online when I googled. Can't find instructions on when to use though? I assume prior to make up? It costs 68 pounds for 15ml and we've got 5ml, so about 22.50's worth. Not bad at all, especially if it works!

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 23/12/2016 07:12

I've just whacked the serum on pre-yoga. It feels quite nice, and has helped my 7am eyes/puffy slits Xmas Grin

happychristmasbum · 23/12/2016 08:19

Todays offering was timely. I got up early to go to the Co Op for last minute shopping and was there as they opened at 7. Couldn't be arsed to put foundation on so just slapped that cream over my puffy grey eye bags, slick of mascara and off I jogged.

I do think it made a bit of a difference but am sceptical of the reviews online which look a bit fake to me...............

MixedUpConfusion · 23/12/2016 08:30

Reading the reviews on the QVC website... some not as glowing!

littlepinkfizz · 23/12/2016 08:31

Very impressed by today's pressie! Favourite so far has to be the Liquid Gold which is the only thing that has ever made such a noticeable difference to my skin! Definitely a repurchase for me ! What has been everyone's favourite??

AmethystMoon · 23/12/2016 08:50

Oh yes a 'favourite' discussion, good idea littlepinkXmas Grin
I too like liquid gold, the rodial peel also. I'm now trying to remember them all....elasticizer is good too....umm, the hand cream oh and the Nuxe oil is amazing.
A mascara would have been nice, and I was hoping for a burts bees lip shimmer, but all in all, very impressed and things I'd re-but, which would is obviously the point of it. I do didn't manage to get last year's so can't compare but I will definite get it next year.

AmethystMoon · 23/12/2016 08:51

*re-buy

Itsautumn · 23/12/2016 09:22

My top 3
Liquid gold
The Emma Hardie balm
Hand cream

Looking forward to the last 2 days! But sad it's coming to an end. Will definitely get one next year.

happychristmasbum · 23/12/2016 09:31

My top 3 are the hand cream, the lip gloss, and the liquid gold. I also really liked the Autograph nail polish which is very festive.

Am hoping for a mascara and another lipstick in the final two.

VivaVegas · 23/12/2016 09:32

I didn't get one last year but have been really pleased with it and would buy again next year.
Not had a chance to try everything yet but favourites so far are the Rodial face peel, hair elasticiser and the Wonder Balm. Day ones hand cream is lovely too.
I'd like a mascara tomorrow and a red lippy for Christmas Day if I had the choice!

sleighmyname · 23/12/2016 09:35

It's gone so quickly! Will miss my daily treats. Definitely will be repurchasing next year

Would like a few more make up products next year please M&S

FranKubelik · 23/12/2016 10:40

Haven't used all the products yet but so far my favourites are: Rosie lip gloss, Filorga and Josh Wood hair oil. I will be definitely be buying those again.

Will also buy the calendar again next year - have loved having a daily surprise.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 23/12/2016 11:21

hmmmm... top three? Good question!

Lipgloss
Rodial peel
Emma Hardie balm

Worst three?

Eyebrow tamer (won't use it)
Eyeliner (never used liquid eyeliner, although I might give it a go)
Nail file (glass nail file. Shudder)

CointreauVersial · 23/12/2016 11:28

Pleased with the serum - the one I'm using has just about run out.

I'll do my top/bottom three once I've seen the last couple of items!

VivaVegas · 23/12/2016 11:29

How are people using the hair oil??

alotlikeChristmas16 · 23/12/2016 11:47

my hair is v fine and i find that i put it on as a pre-shampoo treatment or leave in overnight. Better hair for the next few days.

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 23/12/2016 12:04

My faves so far have been:

  • Liquid Gold
  • wrinkle filler
  • hand cream
  • Wonder Balm
  • Nuxe oil

Least faves:

  • the nail polishes. I either have gel nails done or wear no polish at all, so I'll give them to my mum (unless anyone wants them? I've used both of them once)
  • SPF face cream, but I'll keep it for the summer
