M&s beauty calendar

Ivytheterrible · 09/11/2016 13:17

So I want the fabled beauty calendar but I can't find anything to buy on the m&s website.

I need...
New ankle boots
A LBD
Dressy tops for evenings out.
But there is nothing I even want to try on!

I have 3 children aged 1-6 but can only find new socks for them.

What can I buy? Confused

Ahh but you did have to buy other items to get the calendar for that price, at least £35 if I remember rightly.

happychristmasbum · 20/12/2016 12:46

Yes wood but we all returned ours Xmas Wink and actually the stuff I bought I was going to buy anyway...........

I like todays and don't think it's too bad a size when you work out we have all paid around £1.40 for it!! I will use it tonight and report back.

woodhill · 20/12/2016 12:54

Yes I did return something as well and used the 20% offer instead but I did order toiletries for a gift and assumed they were non returnable.

bloodypassword · 20/12/2016 13:45

viveVegas do you mean the Percy hair stuff? Is it the Emma Hardie cleanser you'd like to swap? If so, I'd be happy to do a swap with you. Smile

EarlGreyTeaPlease · 20/12/2016 13:46

If anyone is in need of last minute Christmas gifts or just needs another beauty fix for when the calendar is finished M&S now have beauty gift sets half price. There is a Phillip Kingsley one for under £15, I got three yesterday as still needed to get a few presents. It comes in a gift bag and is really nicely packaged.

cakeinmyfacehole · 20/12/2016 14:51

I have just washed my hair and used the elasticizer, the Percy hair stuff and the hair oil and my hair is amazing! I can't stop stroking it.

Some of that will be down to the fact that I've dried it properly because the baby was asleep and I had time for once but still.

I probably need to try them separately to see if I'd buy any.

Swish swish swish

mowglik · 20/12/2016 14:56

Xmas Wink Rudy

I thought the elasticiser didn't do much but 2 days on and my hair is usually stringy and needing a wash but the mid lengths and ends are lovely and swishy still, will try this again before Xmas day Grin

AmethystMoon · 20/12/2016 15:04

Further to Earlgrey's post, I've just got a half price Nuxe set. Eau de Parfum, shower gel and body lotion. Twelve pounds fifty, was twenty five, contents worth thirty one pounds Xmas Grin

VivaVegas · 20/12/2016 15:08

bloodypassword I'm at work but will message you later.

Dillite2 · 20/12/2016 17:02

The elasticiser asks you to combine it with all the shampoos and serums. At those prices I would expect my hair to style itself after giving me a head massage.

I have been using the night cream for a week now and have noticed no difference. So either my skin is too good for it or it is so bad that nothing is having an effect on my rhino face.

OverScentedFanjo · 20/12/2016 17:06

I have commented before about why I think the creams should be a better size. Nothing to do with cost.

FranKubelik · 20/12/2016 18:11

Only a few more boxes left - would love it if one of them contained a good mascara.

BillStickersIsInnocent · 20/12/2016 18:52

I love the Rosie lip thing, it's the perfect nude for me. I'm blue eyed/dark hair, pale skin - anyone liking it who is blonde? I'd like to get one for my sister but not sure it will suit.

happychristmasbum · 20/12/2016 19:16

I am blonde, pale, blue eyes and I love the Rosie lip thing. I always use light shades though - usually in MAC Angel.

BillStickersIsInnocent · 20/12/2016 19:27

Fab thank you

Dillite2 · 20/12/2016 20:00

Ryanair do 100ml Nuxe oil for €25. It' a good price, right?

pk78 · 20/12/2016 22:46

Viva I'd be happy to swap wonder balm for the cleanser. Let me know.

pk78 · 20/12/2016 23:01

Amethyst you are a bad influence Wink
I have ordered the nuxe gift set I didn't need. Though have been eyeing the perfume for a while just couldn't justify the cost.

Howaboutthisone · 20/12/2016 23:25

I've just put the night cream on. Felt nice and creamy going in and bit watery like some. Like the smell too.
The nuxe perfume in the gift set- is it the huile prodigieuse scent?

Bubbinsmakesthree · 21/12/2016 00:21

Considering today's night cream is supposed to be hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types, it made my face sting. Maybe reacting with the Pixi glow tonic I used a bit earlier?

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 21/12/2016 06:40

Today's is a little meh, but perhaps I'm just getting used to having something fun/special to open every morning!

AwkwardSquad · 21/12/2016 06:56

Useful, though? I'm just getting into primer so it's good to have another one to try. I need one that doesn't just sit in my pores! So far, Clinique wins.

MelanieCheeks · 21/12/2016 07:11

What order do all these products get applied? If I was wanting to wear the line filler, a primer and a tinted moisturiser, which goes on first?

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 21/12/2016 07:17

I'd go

  1. line filler
  2. primer
  3. tinted moisturiser

but I might whack a moisturiser on prior to step 1.

CaoNiMerrilyOnHigh · 21/12/2016 07:55

Did anyone try the sleep balm last night, by the way? I used it during the day and overnight, and my skin is pretty damn soft/smooth this morning.
