Following on from the skincare routines post, what ingredients do you make sure you include in your products, for example, Vit C, Vit E, Hyaluronic acid?

TIA

Yes I've heard of people doing it from the palms but I don't think I'd be able to the neck and face evenly and probably end up using more. I prefer using Japanese cotton pads they don't absorb as much and release it better so less wasteful.

AuroraPolaris · 08/11/2016 22:23

dulci i haven't tried the P50 that way but i always use both sides of the cotton disc and then use it on chest and upper arms and elbows and knees... by the time I'm done the cotton disc is pretty dry!

AuroraPolaris · 08/11/2016 22:26

bo did you see that video with Mr Naruko where he shows how to apply acid with a cotton pad and how mane strokes you have to apply?

Dulcimena · 08/11/2016 22:26

Japanese cotton pads, you say? Off to find some of those!

AuroraPolaris · 08/11/2016 22:26

many....

botemp · 08/11/2016 22:27

Aurora, those are types of flimsy excuses I make for travel and somehow convince myself are cost effective like high heeled 'snow' boots. I did manage to convince someone on these boards to travel to Italy to buy a designer handbag for her birthday... because that's what I would do no birthday necessary Blush.

Saying that... I do believe p50 is under €50 in Paris Wink.

Dulcimena · 08/11/2016 22:28

Aurora I don't know if I'm using especially thick pads but they feel dry to the touch almost instantly, it's infuriating! How many drops do you use?

Pupsiecola · 08/11/2016 22:28

Thanks Bo. I think I will stick to my plan of PM routine early evening and oil before bed. The Pai arrived today. My skin soaked it up so quickly (three drops for face and down to chest. Does that mean my skin is dry?! It doesn't look it. I used the Weleda Lavendar on my chest and shoulders last night and it could be coincidence but I slept through without waking once. This never happens. I sleep better since using a Magnesium oil spray but I usually wake at least once.

Look for Shiseido, Shu Uemura, Cotton Labo Organic, or Muji. I hear the Naruko cotton pads are nice too. I think Amazon comes in cheapest, muji if there's one in your country, I think the EU site is still out of order.

Haven't seen that video, where is it? I do like how they hold those square cottons between their fingers and do the gentle wipe, though with p50 I follow the vigourous patting advice.

wiltingfast · 08/11/2016 22:32

I like the muslin idea Enid but not sure what I do with it? Scrub her or soak her in the bath with it? Grin

Yes Bo she's on vit d, we all are. Was thinking I should add an omega supplement maybe. But might try aveeno first.

Dulcimena · 08/11/2016 22:35

Bo I've just found the muji ones - we do have muji here so I can get them pretty easily. I'll give them a whirl, thanks for the tip. Incidentally, they seem to be used for vaping?! That's a whole other world...

AuroraPolaris · 08/11/2016 22:36

And of course when one is in Paris one must visit Sephora to stare at lovely Nars blushes (that we don't have here anymore!!!)

You can try using only half the cotton disc (half the thickness I mean). I use 4-5 drops maybe? More than that and it REALLY stings.

Oh do tell about the magnesium oil spray pls. I just got a magnesium gel for my shoulder a while ago. How do you use it for sleep? I've also been waking up every night. But I usually sleep poorly in autumn. A kind of weather jet lag!?!?!

Ok must go and get some beauty sleep now.

hollinhurst84 · 08/11/2016 22:38

ZMA supplement is awesome for sleep if you tolerate b6 (I don't and I break out)
I use a magnesium oil spray but also bath in magnesium flakes and that totally knocks me out Grin

AuroraPolaris · 08/11/2016 22:38

I'll look for the video tomorrow. It's hilarious!

botemp · 08/11/2016 22:44

And eat a lemon meringue tart at Pierre Herme for me while you're there too...

Yeah, the vaping stuff is weird, especially since people pay a lot of money for ten pads on ebay Confused. Get the organic ones from muji, they're the nicest ones.

The Pai Age Confidence oil isn't necessarily for dry skin, it actually has a lot of oils that suit combo skin but it is really good at nourishing skin at the same time. It was the only thing that ever came close to addressing my dehydration that wasn't HA based.

Weleda has a lavender bath milk that is brilliant if you're having trouble sleeping/de-stressing. It's the sort of thing you roll fuzzily into bed with, like booze but without the hangover. The citrus one is lovely too but more the invigorating/freshening type. Although Simon Cowell is apparently obsessed with that one and I can never look at it the same since...

Pupsiecola · 08/11/2016 22:46

Better You Magnesium Spray. I use their Vitamin D under tongue spray too.

Maybe I will pay a visit to Liberty for some P50 at some point.

hollinhurst84 · 08/11/2016 23:01

I have that spray but the lavender/night version
Also a vaper Blush but I don't faff with those bits!

EnidButton · 09/11/2016 01:23

Enid the W doesn't have salicylic, if that helps?

Ooooh. 😳 And I'm ok with aspirin I think. Have tried diy aspirin masks in the past and didn't have any adverse reactions. Wish it could be bought online. It says they do a consultation via phone or email before they'll let you buy any but I'm a bit scared. 😁 Someone else braver do it then tell us what happens.

Wilt Muslin used like a little bag, see pics (got from Pinterest.) Not sure how much they'd do but they sound soothing and can't do any harm if you have oats in the house already. Tights will do instead of muslin. Although I think Aveeno would be better. My friend gets it on prescription for her exzema.

EnidButton · 09/11/2016 01:24

Keep meaning to get magnesium spray. Going to look in H&B for it tomorrow. I take a supplement but it absorbs much much better applied to the tongue.

EnidButton · 09/11/2016 01:26

Sorry for triple post, blardy memory.

Re acne, I actually get breakouts from taking vitamin C. Evening Primrose oil, vitamin D and zinc have given the best results.

EnidButton · 09/11/2016 01:27

And omega 3.

EnidButton · 09/11/2016 01:27

Oh Christ, sorry! Here are the pics Wilt

Wilt Run it under the tap so the milk goes into the water she's bathing in.

Pupsiecola · 09/11/2016 08:16

The Magnesium spray is a body spray so I use it on my arms (HRT gel on legs lol).

Someone said about putting products in certain places. I might just put oil on cheeks rather than all over...
