Oh good was just about to check timingSmile

I am considerably better and determinedly cheerier, thank you.

Auriga · 26/10/2016 11:58
Cremolafoam · 26/10/2016 11:59

Hmm, have been reading about hormone headaches and sounds like that might have been it. Am going to book an apt with GP, as the headache plus new hot flushes, mood swings ( I nearly lost the plot Ina meeting yesterday) could mean the hrt no longer sufficient. Feel ghastly today. Am drinking lots to try and lift the feeling of heavy objet on tête.

In fun news, the farmer next door is keeping a couple of fawns for the garden centre nearby ( they go all out with Santas grotto). Little reindeer are divine, and talk to each other in kisses ( they make funny little kissy clicks) aw!

In charity shop news I scored a fabulous long felted wool coatigan in Barnardos for £5. Having it dry cleaned and will call it 'my Xmas wardrobe'Xmas Smile

motherinferior · 26/10/2016 12:00

Oh and another friend assures me that those large Sloggis are the Rolls-Royce of knicker.

Lalsy · 26/10/2016 12:27

OMG at baby reindeer kissing!!!!

Sorry you feeling so rubbish, Crem. And Auriga, for yesterday. And what heroism, Herbs.

I liked your pants, GGG [off to read rest of thread].

wordassociationfootball · 26/10/2016 12:42

Just rushing in to say pants to headaches and Auriga and Herbs shitey days and sciatica. Have recently carefully updated bras, pants and socks to comfortable items that do their jobs well and getting much pleasure from all.

pfb's 15th today.

Addle: journalling. Fantastic. You are Editing Yourself (not surprisingly.) You need writing practice and to read Natalie Goldman's Writing Down the Bones which will help you 'get out of your way.'

Am having delicious time with my writing. The more I do, the more I learn. To those of you, recent, and longer ago who had my manuscript and put it down, I get it. Page Turning Quality is a skill, and I think I'm getting here now. Learning how to take a reader by the hand, immerse them in the protagonist's emotions and give them the story. I'm quite giddy.... just spilled a Kabuto rice noodle pot over self and floor, seems to have woken me up. The reader who currently has my ms... it would be very much appreciated if you could plough on and read and give me comments. I am fantasising about an acknowledgment to the crepies (if I sell the ruddy thing)

No idea if this post makes sense. Have to drive a bootful of choc cake to my sis's for an afternoon of table football.

Kissy fawn clicks from me.

bigTillyMint · 26/10/2016 14:45

Cremo, I think you should task your DH with getting a photo of the reindeer kissing to get us into the Christmas spirit.

WAF that sounds fab and exciting. Glad you are enjoying your writing and have a lovely chocolatey celebration this afternoon. Is she doing a teen celebration too?

I had such a lovely morning with DS mooching round the shops - had big slabs of cake thanks to JL voucher, got him new smart tracky bottoms and a few other bits and stopped at Subway on the way home (the place makes me come out in a panic - too many questions/choices!) and lots of chatting. He is now doing some Maths with DH ShockSmile

Looking forward to aWine in 3 hours!

hattymattie · 26/10/2016 15:05

Cremo - hope you're feeling better - headache sounds dire.

BTM - cannot stand Subway, but the young seem to love it (old lady emoticon). I've had a lovely lunch in Paris with two friends, had a quick rush round M&S food and am now back home with DS whom I suspect has been on the computer the entire time I was gone. He has just told me he scoffed the remaining quarter of chocolate cake for lunch.

WAF - glad the book seems to be going so well.

Rosebag · 26/10/2016 15:59

crem you poor thing. Could this also be a bit if fallout from the stress of all the clearing out of the French place with DM? Paracetamol won't do buggery to help. You need hard drugs and a bit of stress free time Flowers. I'm sure Sister Is Watching.

herbs hope today is going ok?

waf was that meant to be me ?Blush Blush

tilly that's lovely re you and DS. It does sound like progress is being made. Smile

We are 9/10ths home and have stopped off at the mall. I have collected the LBD from JL and thought about trying it on in store but I've got joggers, hoody and trainer socks on... It'll kind of ruin the potential. So later, I think. Still raging with reflux, and that bloody zit on my chin, which I "dealt with" earlier is bloody killing me.... Angry

wordassociationfootball · 26/10/2016 16:57

You are among friends Rose Smile. I think of you all as friends.

wordassociationfootball · 26/10/2016 17:01

Several crepeys had it around that time. I admit I felt a bit odd when I realised no-one was getting back to me but looking back the draft was so fragmented, it would have been hard to stick with it.

Hate chin spots. I had one that moved in for about a month.

BTM - DD has Beach Boy staying and had an evening with mates last Friday.

wordassociationfootball · 26/10/2016 17:13

Subway is resolutely Gluten-y, so no good to several of us.

DS sounds in a really good place BTM Flowers

Am so stuffed with cake, I don't think I'll even salivate over Bake Off.

Have a fab drinkie.

Cremolafoam · 26/10/2016 17:40

Omg bakeCakeoff Final tonight. I nearly forgot ! Mind you dh wouldn't miss it for anything.Grin
Thanks Wafaroo.Flowers

Will attempt Fawn Foto tomorrow,
Had a restorative coffee with dsis, and a good old bitch about things which is always cathartic.Halloween Wink
Equal quantities of despair re parents. Possible linking of headache to the French situation. Buyers now havering because dp's solicitor buggered something up. Have been v detached about it all for own sanity sake. All 'de trop' for me.
Am cleaning a cupboard now.......

hattymattie · 26/10/2016 18:14

Noooo - don't clean a cupboard Crem - (something Hattie does once a year at the most)

I didn't realise it was the Bake Off final tonight - I'm rooting for Adam now the gorgeous Salesi is gone. I wonder if Bake Off final can be used as an excuse to open wine?

IDismyname · 26/10/2016 18:15

Thanks Rudy for your suggestion of Figleaves. I'd forgotten all about them.

I bought a tankini a few years back from them, for a flotilla holiday in Greece. It fitted really well at home, but by the time I was wrestling with it in temperatures over 40 sweaty degrees down below in a boat, I sort of broke it beyond all repair. However, that was operator error, not retailers!

I wore my Lands End one instead and got horrendously burnt. It was the last flotilla holiday we did, after I had to sit and listen to DH telling everyone EVERY BLOODY NIGHT what an excellent sailor he was, and that we didn't NEED to do a flotilla sailing holiday - it was just for the company.

I now take him to a lonely cottage with his boat for a holiday, so he can just bore the pants off me instead.

Care homes, hospitals, NHS (bloody love 'em) all continue in my life, but CBA telling you. Its boring. And your lives are so much more interesting than mine.

Enjoy your meet up - is it tonight? I used to live just off Goose Green (Peckham side) in my 20s - having upgraded from Nunhead. I lived in the swankiest parts of London, I tell 'ya. They probably are swanky these days...

Stropperella · 26/10/2016 18:18

Crepey culinary emergency: can anyone tell me which crepey thread has MI's chicken noodle soup on, pls?!?

Crem, so sorry to hear about your poorly head. Hope you are recovering.

Auriga, will be thinking of you on Friday.

Posting in haste, while minding pressure cooker and drinking wine. Possibly not a good combo. Especially when you are underslept due to dealing with @!!!#%*§& teen at 2.30am.

Nice pants, er, everybody.

wordassociationfootball · 26/10/2016 18:34

Ishouldcocoa Smile at tankini wrestling.

2.30 is a gruesome time to be dealing with anything Stropps, how crappola.

Crem, de trop indeed. Great that you and sis had a cathartic rant. I am an on another planet Aquarian like your DH... different planet prob.

With regard to the too many hobbies.... no idea what to get DH for his birthday as he doesn't have one in cakes or telephone exchanges... is it nice of PA to get him some new comfy tracky lounge wear and suggest he retires some of current garb.

Yes, to wine Hatty and deffo no to cleaning cupboards.

Have been listening to terrifying hip hop in the car with the dd's and Beach Boy. Some of it was tip top hip hop. And some thrashy wall crawling weirdness.

I'm out at a meeting 10-5 tomorrow. DH is out too. DD2 will be on Musically/youtube all day is my guess, is that terrible?

Cremolafoam · 26/10/2016 19:01

Not terrible at all WAF. SOP IMHO ( standard operating procedure)Grin

Stropps i can't find it in the creepy cookbook Sad soz

Yes to CakeWineHatty

magimedi · 26/10/2016 19:10

I WANT the crepey cookbook.

About to vanish - 'tis fake bake off final -

Makes me think of

hattymattie · 26/10/2016 19:10

Stropps - Angryat 2.30 am awakening.

WAF - DS has been on the computer all day whilst I went out. I've given up feeling guilty. Also I cannot abide rap - I'm tend take the stance - I'm driving so I choose the music.

Happy meet up crepies.Envy

Lalsy · 26/10/2016 19:20

Magi, have PM'd you a crepey cookbook link!

ds is working in the mornings, and then on X box...he is doing a bit of sport and socialising but there are an awful lot of hours in half term, no?

BTM, glad you had a lovely outing with ds, sounds very restorative.

IDismyname · 26/10/2016 19:30

Magi - Thank you... I know all the words. I grew up with that tune.

Stropps Wishing you a gallon of Wine and early bed tonight.

As a newbie, I have yet to experience the collective Crepey Recipe Collection. I bet you lot have some great stuff in there, if only someone could find them Hmm

Chicken noodle soup is a true superfood ( or a supersupper?) Hope someone finds you the recipe.

Stropperella · 26/10/2016 19:31

Not to worry, crepsters, I remembered MI's magic ingredient: Tom yum paste. Every member of the family (even the arsey one) has pronounced the chicken noodle soup "very good".

motherinferior · 26/10/2016 19:40

Phew.

Am happy to PM recipes to anyone who requires. Most were my mother's. She combined excellent cooking with the firm belief anyone over a 1970s size 10 was dangerously obese.

A delightful drink (or four) ceased only by imminent Bakeoff needs.

Lalsy · 26/10/2016 19:47

Cocoa, have PM'd you the link too - has many delights. We should design a cover - featuring gin, pants, trams, novels, and evil bosses.
