The sloggi pants I wear I just so comfy - never any riding up the crack issues.

I don't wear madly bright colours - lots of blue & deep red & salmon pink. I just have this thing that when you are out so many people are either in black - or even worse, greige.

Blackduck · 26/10/2016 07:56

Auriga FlowersFlowers look after yourself.

IDismyname · 26/10/2016 07:58

I feel like the pants I wear belong to me in my 20s. I long for some nice comfy sloggis, but I'll get so much flack from DH if I wear them.

Hey! Mammoth sloggis AND a velour housecoat!! All these care homes I'm visiting are having an effect. (I'm only 50 btw)

herbaceous · 26/10/2016 08:13

Rudy - you looked SHAMAZE. The red really suited you. It was red, wasn't it?

Cocoa - your DP can sod off re pants. If lacy, itchy arse-slicing undies are such a pleasure to wear, how come men's pants are all large, stretchy and all about comfort? FFS.

magimedi · 26/10/2016 08:17

Cocoa - LTB!! Grin

hattymattie · 26/10/2016 08:31

Rudy - you looked gorgeous. The jacket and dress were perfect together. I especially loved the colour of the jacket.

Auriga - hope today finds you a little better and feeling more positive.xxx

Magi - we have fog here as well. I rather like it as the forest feels very 'other worldly' when it's like this.

Well, if our nearly Parisienne, nearly French crepey says it is OK then you have triumphed, Rudy.

Is that Bois de Boulogne, Hatty?

herbaceous · 26/10/2016 08:42

A yes. A sort of 'tomato', if you will. Slightly orangey? You looked lovely. But then you always do!

I am prevaricating before going up to parents' for this 90th shindig. It should actually be fine, if exhausting. The neighbour who shouted at me will be there. I am hoping for an apology, but doubt it will be forthcoming.

I'm panicking about this grammar course I'm running. It's next week, and I haven't written it yet!

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/10/2016 08:44

DH wouldn't notice if I wore this sexy little number and this revealing bra. I would go for the matching set in fawn - so flattering, and wouldn't show the drips. Alternatively I might just get a large needle and some baler twine and sew up my fanjo.

You looked very glam, Rudy, but you always do.

Rosebag · 26/10/2016 08:57

I'm still in hi-legs and they are better for me on account of large thighs...however I am on the cusp of the dreaded full brief, aka granny pants because the hi legs, whilst better for the thigh situation, no longer come up high enough for the belly situation. If Dh ever tried to suggest what pants I should wear I would agree, so long as he in turn agreed to wear a cheese cutter thong.... Grin Do Sloggi make hi legs?

rudy you look lovely in everything you wear! Can you take an anonymous photo of said red dress/jacket combo? Not sure I clocked it...

For the next black tie event I particularly wanted an LBD...I have ebayed a lot of my old eveningwear recently, and need a replacement. Of all the annual do's this one (coming up November) is in many ways, the poshest,
( used to be Guildhall, now the V&A) but the women are notoriously underdressed and there's rarely a cleavage in sight. So I'm more comfortable in black with silver jewellery, less boob but more leg and the highest heel I can stand in. However Crepeys will remember that recent purchases have included my "Agadoo" dress, turkoise with yellow pineapples, and the Jolie Moi wiggle dress bargain, which was a colourful, floral riot.

Packing to go home this morning. Still swigging the Gaviscon. I also have a lovely painful spot on my chin. WTF. I never get spots...

Grin MrsS I do love a front fastening bra...

bigTillyMint · 26/10/2016 09:02

I actually find large pants uncomfortable - all that material seemed to ruck up, but maybe that's because they were M&S, not Sloggi Grin I would also cop flak from DH who I have finally got into trunks after all these years !

I agree - you looked fably glam, Rudy, and you always look fab!

Right, off for a bit of retail therapy with DS.

hattymattie · 26/10/2016 09:27

BTM - have fun and well done on getting DH into trunksGrin. My DH is a basic y front man.

Magi - everybody wears black here - I even commented on it when out wih DH last weekend. Still, it is the most practical for outerwear. Not the the Bois du Boulogne - I'm slightly further out than that.

hattymattie · 26/10/2016 09:29

... my black cotton shorty knickers appear to be from a Tesco multipack.

MrsWobble3 · 26/10/2016 09:37

I can beat that Hattie as my current knicker provider appears to be George (of Asda fame). And even my 'best' undies are from M&S - average age decades probably. I suspect I could do with a shopping trip but whilst they all remain serviceable and unseen there's not much of an incentive.

motherinferior · 26/10/2016 09:46

I am quite a fan of the Enormopant under leggings and or/stretchy dresses. My belly curves too much for a 'low rise' larger pant so it's that or small bikini ones under jeans. I do slightly yearn for more interesting pants but am not sure they'd be worth the investment.

Rosebag · 26/10/2016 10:16

I went through a phase of wearing Brazilian knickers from M&S but got fed up with the wedgie...

Auriga · 26/10/2016 10:19

Rudy, you looked beautiful, elegant and co-ordinated at Crem's party. How is your sore throat?
MrsS, how's the cold? Are you staying off work?
Magi, how's the vertigo?
MI, how are things?

And WAF, how is DH?

Sorry if I've missed anyone (Hattie I believe you said you were better) I'm on phone Flowers

Cremolafoam · 26/10/2016 11:08

You sound a little perkier Auriga, I do hope that's the case. Flowers you have a lot on your plate, much love.< sciatica is a biatch, I know how much it rules your day>

Rose sloggi do indeed do a version of a hi-leg called a Tai brief and very comfortable they are too. I prefer a large knicker myself, hating any cheese wire cutting into curves and can lower the bar even further by telling you I even have some Primark ones which, whatever way they are cut, are the most comfortable of all.Halloween Blush loving the colour matching GGG. Smashing.
Rudy, The soft red of your VW dress and leather jacket was sensational. Extremely warm and flattering colour on you and not too matchy matchy iykwim. Halloween Envy of how amazing you looked , given the fact you were mid-crisis with ds. gorgeous.

Yesterday had the worst headache ever. Not just a frontal lobe headache, but as it's my whole head and neck were being pounded. Tried desperately to hydrate and then tried a few paracetamol, but to no avail. Went to bed and head throbbed for hours before I finally passed ou asleep. Today feels like a hangover, but a bit better. Wtf was that all about?

MontserratCaballe · 26/10/2016 11:39

Crem, so sorry about your head - I am not generally a headache person so not sure of its provenance. Could you be dehydrated? Start of a cold? Do you have sinus pain ever? I know that can be extremely painful. Poor you. Hope you feel better soon.

Pants - I like a big knicker with a low leg. Can't bear the thought of anything going up my bum. I don't think I ever match bra and knicks though.

I am feeling a little delicate this am after a boozy night out with an old pal who sadly lost her husband last year. Much wine was drunk as we put the world to rights and we managed not to get too maudlin. Looking forward to seeing those crepeys who can make it at the French House on L Lane at 5.45 Wine
