Is it just me that finds Cos clothes strangely shapeless?

I was just in there and everything is oversized or shapeless. Who does it actually look good on??

The children's clothes are lovely, but sizes too wide ranging, eg aged 2-4! My tiny 2 year old won't fit into that range until she is at least 4.

I think it totally depends on body shape. As I said my tall, broad shouldered straight up and down size 12-14 sister looks wonderful in their more out there styles- they hang beautifully. On me, a sized 12-14 pear/hourglass the same clothes look like pjs/sacks and I look about 5 stone heavier. Their more fitted stuff is lovely, and it is there if you rifle! I love their simple cotton v neck t-shirts, I've got a lovely wrap around dress and a lovely cardigan from there. But the majority of their stuff doesn't suit me at all.

It looks like all their clothes are basically sacks with arm holes, some have a weird collar, frill or bow added.

But I guess if you have quite straight up and down figure, some of the items could look flattering. I guess? They must or nobody would buy them, right?

I've got a lot of great stuff from there but you really have to try stuff on - some stuff that looks fine on the hanger really does look like a sack (I am still amused by the dress that actually made me look like I was about to say Mass), some stuff that's kind of drab on the hanger or in website photos can look amazing. They also do really good fitted stuff along with the "egg shaped mad art teacher" frocks if you rummage for it, and rather nice pants. I'm 5'7'', DD cup, broad shoulders, little short stumpy legs and I've always managed to find nice stuff there.

I did once bought a dress there that I had to return because I couldn't figure out how to put it on...

Best quality on the high st, IMHO.

No wonder the models look like the most miserable beings outside of an Oxfam appeal. Don't you just want to give them a big cuddle, take them home and save them from their tragic waistless lives? Grin

Why are those leather culottes that different from the brown M&S culottes that were loudly mocked? They're practically the same just black Confused

Having said that I might try some in store, as people have said the website don't do the clothes justice!
