India at the beginning of next year!

motherinferior · 13/09/2016 18:45

Ah, but that's relatives. And work. Sort of. GrinGrinGrin

JustmeandtheChickens · 13/09/2016 18:50

If you say so Grin

Joking aside - we'd both love to go. An amazing country with extraordinary food!

I told dh this week-end that we need to start having adventures while we still can - I don't think one should go quietly into the night, rather ..... slide in sideways, cocktail in hand .....saying 'damn that was a ride'.

hattymattie · 13/09/2016 19:02

Grin - Colly - no channelling Frenchdom - more like total absent mindedness.

BD - sounds like an arse - don't let him get to you. Surely , the salary cancels out the scholarship. Are there not Uni lawyers who can sort this out?

magimedi · 13/09/2016 19:45

hatty - Ds has just done his language exam for French citizenship!

Justme - DH & I are a bit older than you & we go away as often as we can - gotta do it while we are still able to! (DH is 10 years older than me so I have to keep him young)

I play him often!

hattymattie · 13/09/2016 19:55

MM - Keep me posted. I'll be so ashamed if I fail. Thank goodness there's not a written component.

Lalsy · 13/09/2016 20:08

Justme, I like your thinking on cocktails and travelling as we age!

MI, they were vinlanders I think (=Newfoundlers or similar?).

BD, I thought your beautiful top on Saturday was very S and B. But glad to have another Fat Face fan on here - I like the colours, the reasonably consistent sizing and the fact they don't fall apart setting a low S and B bar.

NU, you poor thing, hope you feel loads better. Menu sounds interesting.

Happy for pics to go on FB.

CointreauVersial · 13/09/2016 20:19

The DDs and I are in mourning at the news that Mel & Sue have ditched Bake Off! Not going to Channel 4, apparently. It's all over, people!

Best tweet on the subject, from previous contestant......"without Mel & Sue, Channel 4 have just bought a tent"

bigTillyMint · 13/09/2016 20:37

What a weird filmConfused Molly, it was The Childhood of a Leader.

Justme, cocktails and travelling - a perfect combination!

CVGrin

Everyone OK if I put them up?

Cremolafoam · 13/09/2016 20:51

I'd say, Mary ( bless her) and Paul are not far behind, CV. It is all a wee bit tragic. Dh is in meltdown as he always held bakeoff as his ambition. I have to take these things seriously you understand.
WinkGrin@ A Tent. Teehee.

Justme, that's lovely that Dh won the chance to photograph a few shows. Glad the outfit is coming together.

BTM sent me the photos. She is in charge Grin

Ooh yes, waterproof trews, must remember to pack. I ended up buying a pair of Nordic Grips call the MN. Fashion Police while your at it. I love'em. splashers for Waterfall gazing

bigTillyMint · 13/09/2016 21:06

They are on!

magimedi · 13/09/2016 21:48

hatty DS has the arrogance confidence to say he knows he's passed but will be really annoyed if he hasn't made the top grade.......... on verra!!

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/09/2016 21:56

I showed DH, BTM.

He looked frightened. Grin

Lalsy · 13/09/2016 22:23

I think we look very scary (and very wonderful)! When can we take over the world? Thanks, BTM.

hattymattie · 14/09/2016 06:38

My DH just grunted. I think I was interrupting the News...

Blackduck · 14/09/2016 06:57

I look at that bunch of confident competent women and wonder why we are not ruling the world?

Blackduck · 14/09/2016 07:01

Rudy, Beachy, Stropps hope ds's and dd are okay
Cremo how's dad?

I feel very emotional for no reason beyond the obvious and I think this is while I couldn't/can't handle the work rubbish. I am, however, still considering a formal grievance even if it goes no further so at least there will be a dot across this individuals bows....

motherinferior · 14/09/2016 07:17

I look as awful as I always do in that picSad but yes the rest of you look terrific.Smile

addle · 14/09/2016 07:18

BTM, how can I see the photos?

BD, good for you for considering a formal grievance. he shouldn't get away with it. on s&b note, i too meant to say lovely top

thanks everyone for birthday wishes, i was SO lucky with weather and family happening to be around. off to one of MI's recommended restaurants in a couple of weeks to extend the joy

Hattie, fingers crossed. when do you hear?

bigTillyMint · 14/09/2016 07:32

addle, they are on FB, should be open to all Crepeys to see. Look on my page if they don't come up in newsfeed?

DD says she is getting a nose-piercing today. After school, I hope! She has been saying this for about 2 years. I couldn't care less, but DH HATES them - will there be fireworks? Grin

Rudy, I am a squat and leering gargoyle. I absolutely hate photos because they confirm this - I always check (a) how fat I'm looking (b) my jowls and bushy hair; seriously one of the reasons why I have been a bit of a goer free and easy with my affections in the past is that I am always amazed anyone is prepared to touch me, let alone enter my boudoir.

But everyone else does indeed look terrific. Smile

motherinferior · 14/09/2016 07:48

Hurrah for DS3!

bigTillyMint · 14/09/2016 08:19

Rudy, that is great news re your DSSmile
