What's your 'everyday' lipstick shade?

I normally wear Mac Russian Red or Ruby Woo, but only for nights out. I find it too much effort during the day.

I've been after a more subtle everyday lipstick to lift my look a bit...I need to feel more polished than I do at the moment.

I know shade depends on skin tone and hair colour, but interested to see what the S&B board considers a good starting point. I'm blonde and fair.

Ontherightpath when we were deciding on the colour of our work uniform I insisted on pink so I wouldn't have to change my lipstick shade. I got my own way and also now have pink glasses after matching them up with my uniform at the Opticians. Everyone thinks I'm potty

Clinique chubby sticks are best, thry feel like a lip balm and give a nice polished look.

For me "Whole lotta honey" is a good natural (yet pretty) colour.

Rouge Dior 277 - Rose Declamation, a nice dusky daytime pink.

Clinique chubby stick - mega melon. Moisturises lips and has a very natural / you actually bothered to make some effort look

Dior no 365 Pink Songe. Suits me and very moisturising

Mac faux, I'm blonde and fair too

I also like the Avon Matt lipsticks, I have marvellous mocha which is fab and lasts for ages.

I use a Boots no7 lipgloss in a shade very close to my natural colour. Sometimes I wear Lancome Rouge Mars.

Stila pomegranate crush. My lips only better, and you can layer the stain for a more intense colour.

I love Lipstick Queen Medieval,a sheer rosy red, but I suspect it looks best with dark hair. My blond friend didn't like it at all

A bright red is my everyday lipstick.

Clinique chubby stick heftiest hibiscus, nice easy red-orange and I like the control you get with the stick over how much you put on. Or Mac See Sheer if I want something really quiet.

I'd love to be able to pull that off, chardonnay. Unfortunately two small DCs see to it that I do not have the time to apply or maintain

Well, my everyday shade is Chanel Lover but that's a red as strong as the ones you wear. For a more subtle shade I really love Aveda Nourish-Mint Lip Glaze in Morning Rose. It's a balmy, deep rose with decent shine and no stickiness - great longevity for a gloss too.

I feel like I now need to go and sample all of these! Good to know what other fair people wear.

I use sheer reds a lot.

Revlon Romantic, Nars Gypsy and Manhunt, all very easy.

Also, a bright fuchsia with a tan in the summer, just that and eye pencil.

Now I am tempted by a fuchsia...

Other than that it's MAC Syrup or Girl About Town.

Nyx Stockholm is good too, but very matte.

I was really disappointed with velvet teddy. It's a lighter shade than my lips and looks all wrong. My go to is revlon lip butter - I think it's pink truffle. Need some more actually!
