Can I join please??? I am realising I will never use up all the makeup / toiletries I have but I still buy more. I have been ebaying some but I have loads left. Today I used up
1 Coca Cola lush lip scrub; weleda pomegranate body oil ; bio agave hair oil . Didn't even make a dent in what I am using never mind my hoard.

kwick · 23/08/2016 21:57

Welcome joan! Great start Grin

WellTidy · 23/08/2016 22:53

I popped into Kiko yesterday and really liked what I saw! Had a lovely play with the products without being harangued by the staff and have made a shortlist of the products I'd like. Their metallic eyeshadows look lovely. I would love to have the Stila ones but they are pricey and I cannot justify them given the number of eyeshadow singles and palettes that I have.

I've used up a large Aveeno sachet, which I loved. Will probably buy, I think, once I've used up some other body moisturisers. I have one large one on my 13 by Halloween.

Also use up a clay shampoo and conditioner sample which I think was loreal (nothing special), occitane divine cream sample and occitane essential water sample (would not buy either).

I'm trying to get through all my samples to make some space!

Welcome joan and celeb.

Enenem I've fallen for Jo Malone red roses scent. It's heavenly.

kwick · 24/08/2016 07:00

I finallu have an empty - a staple for me, I already have a tube at the ready!
Kingfisher fennel flouride free toothpaste - love it!

Ememem84 · 24/08/2016 07:20

im buying the Jo Malone sea salt and wood something bathroom stuff. Or nectarine and honey. Both lovely. But waiting until bathroom is finished. And putting them straight out for use.

Finished travel size Molton brown shower gel pink pepper.

Still not finished the night cream. The pot must be regenerating there's loads left. If it wasn't so expensive £42 a go (clarins) I'd have chucked it by now but I'm going to properly use up every last bit.

At this rate I'll get to my birthday in October and still have some left! hopefully Dh will replace as a birthday gift

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 24/08/2016 07:49

Nice work welltidy and welcome joan.
Kiko is amazing isn't it. My local store is really good too. Lovely staff, clean and always has appealing offers so I end up with more stuff ( usually eye shadows cos I really need more sparkly eye shadows).
I'd forgotten about yves rocher. I loved them at school but will not look again!
I've used up a m&s hand cream from my MIL. It's a lovely winter scent so not repurchasing at moment. MIL is obsessed with buying me hand cream. Perhaps I ought to have a serious look at my hands!
Otherwise just a espa travel shower gel. Nice but really no need to even look at a shower gel until 2020.

MrsDilligaf · 24/08/2016 20:37

Took DD swimming today. They were handing out sachets of Nivea in shower moisturiser.

I have 10 sachets. TEN!!!

HmmHmmHmm

mrs I love that stuff - lucky you!!!!

IPokeBadgers · 25/08/2016 10:19

Well, I have finished a John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo (finished the conditioner last week). This is a strange one with me: I don't get my hair highlighted often (think once every couple of years, then I just let it grow out almost like balayage) - the first thing I do after getting highlights is buy some Sheer Blonde and then wonder why because although it is ok, does the job, I don't see much difference between it and other cheaper brands.....

Also finished an Eau de Chloe miniature bought as part of a set in a dazed and confused duty free shopping spree on the way home from holiday last year. Was lovely but think if I was to by a full size Chloe perfume I would just go with the original. Have now got the miniature of Chloe Love Story on my desk and can touch up fragrance in course of the day....that's how I used up the last one.

Ememem84 · 25/08/2016 17:28

Was given a small pot of green tea moisturiser from body shop by a colleague. Sigh. Another one to use up.

MrsDilligaf · 26/08/2016 07:26

Kwick

If you would like them PM me your address and I'll post them on to you!

Thank you Frustrated The thirteen items to finish before Halloween have become 30!
Since my last post I have finished another face cream, this one from boots (I used some as a body lotion), it was fine but nothing impressive.

I have also finished a body shop soap, again, lovely smell, but I don't think I will re buy. I finished a 30 ml hand cream, honeymania from the body shop, I liked the smell and I will probably re buy, however, even though I have not got any body lotion atm, I do not feel like buying it. My skin seems fine.

I have to confess that I bought 2 new lipsticks, they are colours I did not have and also, they were from wilko, very cheap. They seem to be ok, I have a coral and a dark purple one.

kwick · 27/08/2016 07:06

Thank you so much mrs

I have decided to join the crusade to get microbeads out of our beauty products as well as horrible silicones such as cyclohexatasiloxane! First step go through all my current products - I really hope I do not find I have been using products with microbeads... I already checked for the silicone months ago and had to get rid of so much stuff...

Ememem84 · 27/08/2016 08:36

I'm breaking in a new eyeliner pencil today. My old one is ancient. And stubby and can't be sharpened anymore. Smile The old one was a bourjois kohl pencil. Love. And probably have a fresh one. But it's replacement will be a Dior one. Not as good in my opinion my was free. A colleague decided to get rid of her make up. And bought but never used this. She also wouldn't take any £ for it. They're about £20 a go.

She got rid of about 15 Dior eyeshadow pallets too. Apparently about £40 a pop and all unused she wonders why she has no money

Ememem84 · 27/08/2016 09:38

Just finished a boots foot scrub. I've been using it as a body scrub as I never scrub my feet why did i even buy it won't be repurchasing.

dogdaydisaster · 27/08/2016 11:08

Finished a night cream last night- the superfacialist by Una Brennan. Nice and rich at a decent price.

I also used up the first item on my 13 for Halloween list- the Tarte lights camera lashes mascara. Like this a lot, but have a few to use up from my spring trip to the USA.

Ememem84 · 28/08/2016 09:19

This is the state of my night cream. Im going to use it until the jar is clean. So maybe another 2 days I keep saying that

Used Dior eyeliner yesterday. It is nice....but can't justify spending any more than £4 on an eyeliner pencil.

Can I join too? I moved house 6 months ago and went from 3 bathrooms of crap toiletries to one. Am now ploughing through them, I have got through all the shower gel and shampoo but still have random lotions and potions to get through. Last night, though, I tackled my hair and make up stash and was ruthless about binning half-used cosmetics that I forgot I had but for some reason couldn't be parted with during the hell of packing up the old house. Have a much reduced collection now, of things I should actually use.

SaoirseLikeInertia · 28/08/2016 10:02

Ready for the bin!

Ashamed of my beauty product hoard - Part 3
FrustratedFrugal · 28/08/2016 10:04

Welcome Saoirse!!!

I'm decimating the half-used body moisturizers still lingering in my stash, the first I've finshed is a tube of Eucerin Aquaporin cream. I love and repurchase Eucerin urea creams but this is just a slightly overpriced bog-standard cream that I would never repurchase.

3/13 gone!

SaoirseLikeInertia · 28/08/2016 10:12

I go through phases of using stuff daily and then stop, like I don't want to be "wasting" it 😐 but I will still buy more? Madness!

kwick · 28/08/2016 10:47

Welcome saoirse!

Well done frustrated, eme and dog!

There is an app where you can scan barcodes to check for microbeads!!!! So excited! Will use once I am back home!
