Kwick wow you are my role model 👏🏻

FreeButtonBee · 06/12/2016 09:43

Alllllmost finished my neverending l'occitane shea butter hand cream. Love this stuff but will plough through the remaining tubes of gifted hand cream before repurchasing.

Also on the last dregs of my mizon sleeping pack. This was an early doors K-beauty purchase which was okay but I don't love it. Will be happy to see the back of it. I have a Superdrug Vit E sleep mask gel which is similar which I will try to use up but I think the smell might be too strong for me so it may get relegated to body lotion. After that, I will have to investigate the massive box of doom for another night cream. Not sure I have many left. Maybe a few samples!

FiveShelties · 06/12/2016 09:52

Well done kwick. I am still smiling that I managed to resist Duty Free in Dubai and NZ last week, was tough though Grin

All that perfume, make and stuff ....................

FrustratedFrugal · 06/12/2016 11:06

Resisting Dubai duty free is mega impressive ladies!

Still at MIL's, facing a 4-hour train trip with DC later today...

Will update my advent calendar treat tonight!

dogdaydisaster · 06/12/2016 11:11

Morning all, really foggy here

Kwik, youre a better woman than me, I would have caved Grin

Mrs D your little girl is gorgeous!

Dragon, hope your dd is OK, that must be tough for you all, but congratulations on your grandbaby x

I finished the Decleor toner sample from my advent calendar (day 2 gift). It was nice enough but not as special as some of the things I've had on other days.

HooArghhhEwe · 06/12/2016 11:25

Went through my blushes today and realised I have found my HG blushes. I have about 8 and I'm loathe to waste them but seriously. Surely they're going to go manky? I have 4 Creme/stick blushes and 3 powder ones. I only use two of the powder ones.

Replaced my finished mascara with a Stilla one. and bought one of the Tom Ford limited edition boy lipsticks.

HooArghhhEwe · 06/12/2016 11:27

Sorry that wasn't clear. I have 8 and of them I only use 2 or 3 because they are so perfect for me.

FrustratedFrugal · 06/12/2016 11:39

HooArgh I've used up at least three blushes in the past year and am going to finish two others in the near future. I'm really pale and never not wearing blush. I tackled my least favorite ones first (because I wanted to get rid of them) but I alternate them with my HG so that life is bearable Wink You could also donate the ones you don't like.

MrsDilligaf · 06/12/2016 12:25

You resisted Dubai Duty free?? That is some willpower! I can barely resist a wander around superdrug so a delay at the airport actually makes me happy - all that extra browsing time Grin

I'm doubling up on my nip and fab shower gel - using it as bubble bath as well as shower gel. I'm also very impressed with the Elemis cleansing Balm. It's lovely, it smells delicious too.

DragonNoodleCake · 06/12/2016 20:58

I use blush about once a year and I'm the palest person I know. It always looks like I'm trying to hard to have colour so I gave up. I obviously need blush lessons

DragonNoodleCake · 06/12/2016 21:00

Look at this boots deal...DD1 would love love love this, so I think I'm going to get her it for Christmas surprise. Problem is I want them now too!

Ashamed of my beauty product hoard - Part 3
MrsDilligaf · 06/12/2016 23:45

I spotted those too. They look gorgeous Grin I'm going to play the long game and hope that there are some in the sale. I can't justify them this side of Christmas she says with her fingers crossed behind her back..

Very behind on thread - will catch up!
I have an empty:
neutrogena hydra boost water gel - great for summer months

Advent today one I can use!! Yipeee!!!!

kwick · 07/12/2016 07:50

LOL mrs five dog and frustrated thanks!!! Grin

dragon I need blush lessons too! And contouring ones!!! I actually have had make up lessons a number of times but am none the wiser

So the FeelUnique pick and mix arrived yesterday - such a lovely thing to arrive home to!!! And great you get the postage back by way of a voucher!!!

May I just say this thread alongside the active and purposeful use if my beauty products brings me so much joy!!!!

I must be the only one who does not adore Duty Free... I just don't like being pounced on. Actually it is a hard choice - by in person and benefit from trying stuff out and getting samples (sometimes) or buying in peace online but you are kind of shopping blind...

BabyGanoush · 07/12/2016 07:56

Very late to this thread (in denial...) but may I join?

I have started spritzing on perfume 3 times a day.

Even if I just walk the dog and then work from home Grin

I have about 4 bottles to get through...

IPokeBadgers · 07/12/2016 09:11

All are welcome BabyGanoush, lovely to see new folks joining in.

Your comment about 4 bottles of perfume has made me wince, I have a few more than that on the go as well as unopened....perfume junkie! oh well, considering that huge chunks of life not going my way at present I take some comfort in that at least I smell sweet and fragrant! Smile

Well done to the Duty Free resisters...I'm another one with mixed feelings about it. And I'm another one who needs blush lessons, I can never get it right at all!

dogdaydisaster · 07/12/2016 11:16

Kwik, Glad you're happy with your pick n mix. Look forward to hearing what you chose.

I finished the decleor aroma cleansing lotion from my advent calendar last night. Really liked this, it felt lovely and had a nice scent so one day I may repurchase.

Off to Westfield with DD who has an inset day. Shopping, a Five Guys burger and then the Moana film- at 13 she'll still come and see a Disney movie with her mum Grin

FreeButtonBee · 07/12/2016 11:39

I got back into wearing perfume in the summer but stopped once I started back at work and the weather cooled. But popped some on today - Gucci Flora which was my wedding perfume. I'm almost finished it and then I think I might treat myself to a new everyday work perfume. I don't like very strong scents and I work in an open plan office so it will have to be subtle. It will be fun choosing something now I'm at a different stage of my life.

I am still using up my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. It is neverending. When will it end...

FreeButtonBee · 07/12/2016 11:44

I will say that the skin on my legs is much less scaley and dry this year - I have actually been using body lotion/moisturising on a semi regular basis (not every day but I do fire some on at least a couple of time a week) and I haven't had that embarrassing waft of dry skin particles coming through my opaque tights

applesandpears33 · 07/12/2016 11:48

I'm impressed at using up blusher. I don't think I have ever even hit pan on a blusher, let alone finished it off.

Slow progress here. I think I'll finish a Boots hot cloth cleanser in the shower tomorrow morning. It is great and I'm going to note down the details so I can buy another one in the future. I have eczema on my face and it could be my imagination but I think it helps to keep it under control.

I've been enjoying using some of the products I received in an M&S beauty box at the end of the summer. I'm a little confused by some of them though. How do you use hair serum? Do I put it on at night and then wash off in the morning, or put it on clean hair? The sample I received didn't come with any instructions.

woodhill · 07/12/2016 11:57

I have 2 new empties, an elemis peel masque small size, would use again plus a Liz Earle hand serum which was OK.

I agree about applying the body lotions on legs. Mine are not itchy.

Have been opening my M&S advent calendar.

FiveShelties · 07/12/2016 15:13

welcome BabyG - aleays good to see new posters. Smile

I also spray perfume before dog walking and reapply lippy --- if I don't the stash will never ever decrease.

IPokeBadgers · 07/12/2016 15:25

Just finished a mini perfume from Rituals - Fleur de l'Himalaya. Really liked this and if not for the perfume mountain in the house I could be tempted to buy the full size version. But I wont.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 07/12/2016 16:05

Hi babyg. Watch out, we are also enablers! I have bought quite a lot since joining but it is always on recommendations so love it! Including the rather fabulous rituals advent calendar. So many beauties: lovely spicy, woody perfume, orange shower gel. Delights.

And my M&S 'official' calendar! Today was another goodie; expensive sun cream that we use a lot of in my house as DS has autoimmune condition that is exacerbated by UV and I use retinol. Also a fancy liquid eyeliner. I think I may need a January calendar too!
I've managed to use up an odd stretch mark cream from neals yard. 5 years old and an effort but gone. Hoorah!
kwick you are a duty free legend. I am already planning my next attack as off to Copenhagen next weekend.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 07/12/2016 17:05

Oops kwick just reread, you're the pharmacie legend. five is the duty free legend! Either way awesome all round!

If it makes you feel better badgers I have way more perfume. button pop over to perfumista thread for advice. frustrated and others are so knowledgeable.
apples I use hair serum on wet hair before styling (which for me is running hands through while blowing with car heater!)
