I have an empty from my office stash (don't ask!) a M&S Camellia hand cream which was discontinued about 20 years ago and I got on ebay. Already have a Clinique one at the ready to replace!!!

ememem84 · 18/11/2016 12:53

kwick I'm assuming the "office stash" is like mine: old freebee make up bag stashed with hair bobbles paracetamol lemsip hairbrush deodourant dry shampoo and spare make up. Just in case???

MrsDilligaf · 18/11/2016 14:08

Dammit. No where in town has any left Sad and I really want the M & S one.

I've put a call into my mother to see if there is one in the shop near her! Keep them crossed.

Re office stash, I quickly counted what I saw there and found 15 items Blush
Including a third Max Factor Sunbronze lippy.
There is no hope for us is there?

I need more beauty calendar updates.
Will you open them here so that I can enjoy one by proxy Wink

Cockblocktopus · 18/11/2016 14:32

Woohoo! Gold no 7 mascara finished.

'Tis rubbish and won't re buy that and the nearest boots is a good 12 hour flight away

ememem84 · 18/11/2016 15:24

cockblock 12 hours??? My nearest is 12 minutes. Where in the world are you...?!

woodhill · 18/11/2016 16:52

ThanksSmile Kwik

Did pick up M&S beauty calendar today, will open in accordance with advent

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 18/11/2016 18:29

DH has hidden my advent calendar but he doesn't know about rituals one hidden in bathroom cupboard (aka the cupboard of shame : CoS). Or the one I made myself before I accidentally bought M&S one.
Let's open together!
As for eye cream dogday not boots time delay one. Ouch and smells perculiar. However I have a HA and glycolic one from amazon. I think it was recommended on here. Will find name as I do like and has improved undereyes.
Yes I have office stash too. But boys in my office do steal hand cream.
frustrated we take it one day at a time.

kwick · 18/11/2016 18:50

Well em mine has got:
Handcream
Pair of knickers
Sanitary towel
Pair of tights
Painkillers
Lip balm
Perfume

Then of course I have what is in my handbag...

frustrated I will defo open mine on here! Halo

Well done cock!!

Cockblocktopus · 18/11/2016 22:44

ememem I'm in Aus. I think boots is in Hong Kong or Thailand or Dubai but I seem to remember they don't do no 7. Grin

kwick · 19/11/2016 06:49

Ooooo cock but aren't there some amazing Ozy brands?

Is it too early to start with the advent? Hmm

kwick · 19/11/2016 08:45

I have an empty!!!
Dr Organics manuka honey rescue cream - I got this too soothe the itchiness - it is very hydrating I am just not a big fan of the scent.

FrustratedFrugal · 19/11/2016 08:51

🎉🎈💃🏼I've finished my Christmas list!
12/12 gone, 9 full size products and 3 minis!

Final product: Missha Super Snail Cell Aqua gel cream, travel size. Weightless and cucumber smelling, used on my neck and decollete. Great cream but will not repurchase because my face is in great shape now and I am not risking it with creams as they sometimes clog my pores.

Not sure what to do next:

Finish 10 by New Year
OR
A homemade beauty advent calendar of samples.

What would you suggest?

FrustratedFrugal · 19/11/2016 08:54

Cockblock'I'm nowhere near a Boots either and wondering whether I just started the mascara that you finished? Boots No 7 gold tube Stay Perfect Long-lasting Volume?

Kwick well done!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 19/11/2016 10:59

Wow frustrated nice work. You need an advent calendar!
Finished a bio-oil which was lovely but I seem to get everywhere and no scent which always seems pointless to me as I like smells!

kwick · 19/11/2016 11:21

Congratulations frustrated!!!!!
I would go with the samples advent.

BTW what is our next list?

So I filled the bath - ready for a soak - only to remember I am not allowed baths at the mo (owing to recent fertility procedure) Angry the silver lining is that before I remembered I used up some bath salts (they were nice though Angry): Pink fizz cocktail bath salts

FrustratedFrugal · 19/11/2016 18:31

Okay, thanks for your input, I now have a beauty advent calendar!

I went shopping with DD1 and saw a fabric advent calendar at Lidl. It is ugly as hell, a beige giant gingerbread shape stiff with fabric glue, but it cost 4.99 Wink The tasteful black and white ones at Granit cost 49.99

I gave her my bulging ziploc of Korean and Western beauty samples and she is now locked in my bedroom, filling the pockets.

Thanks for inspiration, my bathroom will be extra festive Wink

kwick · 19/11/2016 21:21

Well done frustrated! Post a picture please!

Cockblocktopus · 19/11/2016 23:05

frustrated yes that one. I love a tubing mascara but don't love that one. Better ones on the market IMO.

kwick Blush yes but I'm terrible at trying un known brands unless I've heard good things from mn or a mate.

kwick · 20/11/2016 05:26

Well cock I watch beauty product youtubers - so for example Tati is my current favourite but I know there are some great Aussy beauty bloggers.

FrustratedFrugal · 20/11/2016 08:05

DIY beauty advent calendar looks like this! Perfect size pockets for sample sachets.

Cockblock if I may ask - what are your favorite tubing mascaras? I'm trying the Boots Gold after using Sensai 38 (which I grew to like) and several non-tubing ones that smudged terribly.

I'm going to attempt a Finish 10 by New Year as well! I am really making progress and having a list motivates me. (I mean, I have finished 25 products this autumn!)

Ashamed of my beauty product hoard - Part 3
Cockblocktopus · 20/11/2016 09:16

Thanks kwick I'll check them out.

frustrated Mac Opulash is my favourite (but SA don't always know it's tubing). Builds nicely, easy to remove but I do finish it fairly quickly I think (I've been using up my stash so can't remember).

Clinique one (lashpower I think) is nice but makes my lashes look a bit spidery if I use too many coats. Good day time look with one coat only but frankly I prefer dying my lashes. I've bought it a couple of times and keep passing it on to my mum.

Estée Lauder one gave no volume and I think I didn't like the wand for some reason. It's been years since I bought it though.

Cockblocktopus · 20/11/2016 13:03

Finished a shampoo and bug spray! Two less things to go in the suitcase home.

shame about the extra clothes I bought for DDS

applesandpears33 · 20/11/2016 13:08

Finished a protect and perfect moisturiser. This is a staple and I have a back up in the cupboard. In the meantime, I'm going to use some of the protect and perfect night cream as day cream. It is soooo cold here and the wind is very drying on my skin. Also, I don't care about spf in this weather. We get so little day light I don't think it'll make that much difference.

woodhill · 20/11/2016 13:46

Finished a trial size of those nip and tuck? Glycolic. Pads - I like these plus nail varnish remover pads and a collagen moisturiser that I used as a serum then put on a cream with SPF.
