woodhill · 23/10/2016 14:56

Used up luminosity night cream NO7, have another one

youredeadtomesteven · 23/10/2016 15:51

I recently took all my products out from various drawers and put them in a storage box floral thing from Matalan. There's loads stuffed in there, none of it makeup (that's in another drawer!)

So far I've used up 8 things out of the 15 I want gone. Two will hopefully be gone by the end of next week; a Garnier micellar water 125ml and a perfume spray. I've already got 2 replacements for the micellar water Blush and other perfumes I can use to replace the spray.

All in all, it's going pretty well. Besides the 2 products on their last legs, I've got the following to use up by Christmas;
*The Body Shop strawberry body butter (dp uses this frequently on me!)
*A Seventeen pressed powder (already re-purchased!)
*250g bottle of Snow Fairy shower gel
*Aussie Beach Mate shampoo+conditioner (I literally have about another 6-8 bottles to get through! So lush thoughGrin)
*Clean and Clear cleanser. I'll never buy this again. Bought on a whim it was on offer and thought it'd be like how I remembered. It's just bleh and shit now.

I can't wait to write another list of products to use up!!

kwick · 23/10/2016 15:55

Great progress wood and you I am dying to ask you where your username comes from

applesandpears33 · 23/10/2016 16:05

I've finally got an empty. It is only a miniature shower gel but at least it is an empty. I've been using a lot of medicated creams on my face so don't have the opportunity to use up many products at the moment. I've been eyeing up some of the gift sets on the Boots website and have almost persuaded myself to buy some. Must stay strong!

Shesgotelectricboobs · 23/10/2016 17:35

Maybeline super drama gel eyeliner (the one in the little pot with the brush) -FINISHED!

I've had this for years. And years. And years. And finally have got rid. Yay!

MrsDilligaf · 23/10/2016 21:09

Round of applause for electric!

Seriously impressed as I've never finished one of those. I binned one a few years back that had pretty much dried up.

Apples that's really well done! I've had similar fairly frustrating periods, you are doing well. Please share your dream haul Wink

I've dabbed my face with glycolic acid and put on some sleeping mask. Weather turning wintry, so Eucerin 5% urea is also ready on my bathroom shelf.

I have some product cravings. I'd like to get an Artdeco strobing powder, a new Dr Jart Premium BB cream, some Badger Balm lip products, and a Nubian heritage body wash from iHerb. Oh and some gorgeous Joik body products from the local department store. Will probably celebrate after reaching 12 on my Christmas list with a lovely iHerb order...

Shesgotelectricboobs · 23/10/2016 22:54

mrs I'm not repurchasing any time soon. It was nice but just took so long to use. I have about a hundred eyeliners to use up. Trying to be minimal....
maybe when I'm out of eyeliner though!

Have to add to the stash tomorrow. Toothpaste and deodourant are needed.

dogdaydisaster · 24/10/2016 10:35

Everyone's doing so well. I still ahve the last item from the halloween list to go, but am away this weekend so will take it with me.
And the elemis cleanser is gone! Finally. I like this but prefer Cleanse and Polish for a creamy cleanser.

FrustratedFrugal · 24/10/2016 18:39

Dogday you will be done by Halloween! Have a great trip!

I realized that I have finished a big bottle of Wella Repair shampoo. I don't want to finish it, it is my favorite shampoo, long discontinued, really good for my fine and lank highlighted straight hair. I have one back-up bottle left -not sure what I will do when it's gone Confused

8/12 from my Christmas list used up!
And bathroom under-sink cupboard is half empty!!!

FiveShelties · 24/10/2016 22:24

Tresemme Conditioner gone. Johnson Shower Gel gone. Lipcote gone. Boots Cleanser Gone. So four items down and not one needs to be repurchased as others lining up to take their place.

kwick · 25/10/2016 19:15

Wow wow wow!!! Amazeballs progress!!! StarStarStarStarStar

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 25/10/2016 21:06

Nice Work all.
I have a mini confession. I may have gone a little crazy in boots buying minis to make up my own beauty advent calendar. I'm hoping I'll have used up loads by xmas so justifying it. I kept looking at the calendars and thinking yeah but no so thought I'd make my own. Not very pretty but know I want all the things too! Just need to get a couple of things I've been lusting over and then forget about them for a month!
Will have def used up the rubbish neals yard cream. I really have to post a picture about how white it goes on.

woodhill · 25/10/2016 21:50

Away at the moment. No small samples in bathroom as toiletries are full size so I am using up my small travel sizes, REN night and day cream nearly gone.

kwick · 26/10/2016 08:28

Such a good idea Another!!! I must confess I have my eye on an advent calendar on ebay... and may get it full price if my bid does not win Blush

I have two travel size empties:

  • Liz Earle botanical shine shampoo... its okay but nothing amazeballs, will revert to my already started Lush shampoo bar or hotel's own
  • Oral B toothpaste - my lovely dentist keeps me stocked with these, brought a new one with me

Fingers crossed I get to go home tomorrow - strike looming...

applesandpears33 · 26/10/2016 10:57

Another empty - body shop aloe vera foaming face wash. I'm not going to replace it, I've eczema on my face and I don't think it was doing me any favours.

WellTidy · 26/10/2016 22:06

I've accepted that I will make no further progress with my 13 by Halloween, but I'm happy with how I've done. Most of mine were full size products and I've made a good dent. Ive finished 13, and the three I didn't finish were an in shower bottle of fake tan, Estée Lauder advanced night repair and a blusher (though there is serious pan action).

I am moving on! My 12 by Christmas are smaller sizes, but I haven't started any of them. They are:

Ren keep young and beautiful instant firming shot
M and s hot cloth cleanser
Estée Lauder night wear plus face mask
Percy and reed volume sing no oil hair oil
Nuxe multi purpose dry oil
Colab dry shampoo
Estée Lauder perfectly clean foaming cleanser
M and s edt bug I am going to use it as a body spray as I'm not that fussed on it
Lancôme energie de vie serum type thing I think it is
Pur illuminating primer
Radial dragons blood hyaluronic tonic spritz
Espa body oil

Excellent work going on here on this thread. I am looking forward to creating some space for Christmas gifts! I have made a list. Went into Lush today and left with nothing, but I did like their rose jam shower gel, bubbly shower gel and buffy bar. I've never even been tempted by Lush before, but I wouldn't mind those in my stocking, if you're reading, Santa.

Keep up the good work all! The advent calendars look fantastic, but I've satisfied my itch by buying two Occitane ones for friends and I am too much of a greedy guts to forego a chocolate one for myself.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 26/10/2016 22:18

well I'm the same, most of mine are full size too. They take forever!!

FreeButtonBee · 26/10/2016 22:22

Finished a meh lacura (aldi) hydrating serum. I much prefer thin liquids serums and essences to the older style gel ones. And the scent was a bit strong. I ended up using it up on my scaley shins.

I am also reaching the end of a few much loved facial products. Hylamide sub-q. Not sure whether to repurchase or to investigate the Ordinary line. And pick up 2 or 3 products which I can mix and match depending on the day. But first I will challenge myself to use up at least 4 sample size serums.

I ditched some kiehls vit c samples as they were far too siliconey and I can't stand that texture these days. I have a keihls retinol sample still to use plus a shoe box full of others.

My lovely aromatherapy associates shower gel is reaching the end and I am on my last bath oil and dregs of the body oil too. I will try to hold out for the post Christmas gift box sales again as the 70% discount on the gift boxes was amazing value. I would repurchase the body oil though. But see everyone else's comment ad infinitum re the impossibility of using up body lotions! If I finish 2 meh ones then maybe I can buy the AA body oil.

woodhill · 27/10/2016 19:30

Succumbed to the Clarins gift buying a cleanser and an eyeliner but I like Clarins and I will use the items, you could choose 4 items.

applesandpears33 · 27/10/2016 21:10

Finished a Johnson & Johnson facial moisturiser with spf. It was OK, but something in it made the skin on my face react so I used it up on my neck. This is the third jar of this cream that I have used up as I bought it on a buy 2 get one free deal. Glad to see the back of it. Also finished up a Clinique eye cream. This is a staple for me and I have another one waiting to be used. I know some people think eye creams are a waste of money but my eyes are very sensitive and it doesn't make them water.

I've been eyeing up the Elizabeth Arden City Lights make up offer on the Boots website. I will probably buy the Boots 8 hour cream gift set as it is good value and I like 8 hour cream. I can keep it in my handbag and put it on my dry skin when I am at work. The City Lights set is very good value and I love buying make up but I don't wear much. I can't remember every finishing a blusher or an eye shadow. Why do I want to buy it when I know it will sit in the cupboard unused?

dogdaydisaster · 27/10/2016 23:54

Finished the elegies micellar water so that's the Halloween challenge done. I also finished the soap and glory body butter off this morning, so that's one off my Christmas list. Making space for advent miniatures Grin

MotherofPearl · 28/10/2016 17:11

Back from a week away and can smugly report the following empties:

  • mini Clarins nightcream
  • mini Clarins one step exfoliating cleanser (love this)
  • sample of Clinique moisture surge lotion
  • travel sized L'Occitane shower cream
I'd hoped to finish the matching L'Occitane body lotion but didn't quite manage it. Will tackle it at home over the next few days. Good to see others have been hard at work hacking through their hoards!
