Kwick, thanks for the tip re superdrug. I think it's the smell of the LE C&P that appeals most because I hot cloth Cleanse with whichever cleanser I have open (my skin loves a good deep clean)

One of the most horrifying things for me has been discovering just how potent baby wipes are. They clean just about anything off pretty much everything.

BabyD has cotton wool and water on her so peachy it hurts bum and water wipes if we're out and about.

Baby toiletries is a minefield.

Just finished a jo Malone candle so now have somewhere to store my mascara's and eyeliner. 4 mascara's and 11 eyeliners. Hmm.

Close to finishing exfoliating toner and eye gel.

mowglik · 18/10/2016 20:54

dogday how do you find the ambient pallete? I tried it once at the hourglass counter and didn't see any difference but the hype came back to haunt me and I bought it a few weeks ago. Just seems to make my skin look muddy, I'm quite disappointed with it Sad I have the MUA dupe of it and I like that better

twick I had no idea silicone in products affected fertility -we had treatment earlier this year and I was merrily slapping on all sorts of products Confused

4 empties for my halloween list!

Nation spa heavenly hand cream (from a Tesco advent calendar in 2013 Blush )
Scinic honey all in one ampoule sample
Elemis pro-radiance illuminating flash balm
Imperial leather Mauritius spa shower gel
Espa pink hair and scalp mud - made my hair greasy so won't repurchase

Another 2 will be done soon - forgot how addictive this is.. Grin

mowglik · 18/10/2016 20:57

Oo shegots I did this with a JM candle i had recently - I use it to store cotton earbuds which now smell gorgeous. I also prised out the disc of wax left at the bottom and put it in a kitchen cupboard and the cupboard smells lovely now

dogdaydisaster · 18/10/2016 21:02

Mowglik I've liked it, it's definitely made my skin more glowy. Not sure it's £50 odd quid glowy though.

mowglik · 19/10/2016 00:31

Think I need to try it in different ways to get that glow - it's like my Achilles heel trying to find this mood lighting effect

When you run out dogday have a look at the MUA dupe palette the colours are very very similar and only £8 rather than £50

Shesgotelectricboobs · 19/10/2016 07:06

mow I have one for ear buds too! I'm using up a Pinot Grigio candle too and the half wine bottle will be nice for my make up brushes.

kwick · 19/10/2016 07:33

mow it is only certain silicones - they start with "cyclo" and end in "xane" they are volatile and you breath them in.

Well done on all the empties!

I have one too but am quite sad as I LOVE this:

  • full size Nivea in shower body moisturiser dark blue bottle
Have no stash but have a Lactovit one at the ready Grin
AnotherPinkiePieStory · 19/10/2016 19:20

shesgot and mow I do the same. Putting it in the freezer helps get the last solid bit out too. One of my candle labels got a bit scratched so does spoil the effect. I need another right?
I used up a few perfume samples on holiday this week. I'm really getting into my perfume so many many more samples where that came from! Forgot to bring shampoo so may need to buy. How annoying! Lots at home too!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 19/10/2016 19:22

As for highlighter I have Becca champagne one and it's amazing but like the idea of hourglass one being used as a regular powder rather than just to highlight.

kwick · 19/10/2016 21:21

I dreamt about Hourglass vanish stick foundation last night...

i have an empty: Garnier micellar cleansing water travel size. Not my favourite - but gets the job done.

kwick · 20/10/2016 20:14

mrs have you heard if "water wipes" - that is what my cousin uses on her lovely twins.

I have an empty:
60ml Bio Oil - I really like this stuff although I have read it is not so good for you

MrsDilligaf · 21/10/2016 11:29

Water wipes are great - pricey but we use them a lot. DD has a beauty product haul almost as impressive as mine Grin

I am nearly on my 4th empty for Christmas and if I'm really focussed I should be half way there at the end of the month - so might have to add a few more to the list.

kwick · 21/10/2016 16:26

Wow mrs impressive!!! I still have 3 left from my 13 by Halloween list!!!

FrustratedFrugal · 21/10/2016 17:58

Nothing used up. Instead, I packed sloppily for our half-term trip and bought a few new things on the road:

Sensai compact foundation in Soft Ivory (love this)
Artdeco travel size blusher brush
Artdeco lipstick, rose petal pink (German brand, seems like a high quality product)
Joik grapefruit & mandarin body lotion (sunny yellow - couldn't resist)

Fennwalker · 21/10/2016 22:09

I seem to have a large stash of serums. A question about the use by open pot thingy which tells you how many months you should use it by - on the back?

What happens when you've gone over that time? Is it just less effective? Not at all effective? Poison? ;) A marketing ploy by them for you to buy more?

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 22/10/2016 07:58

kwick hourglass foundation also on my lust list. Just need to finish one of the 6 few others first! fenn I don't pay much attention to that but go by smell test. If it has lots of active ingredients then they could become less effective like medicines do but wouldn't be harmful.
I've just finished Elemis Frangipani shower creme. Gorgeous. Bought in gift set and my favourite summer holiday scent. I now have a leftover body creme. Know how we feel about that! Would rebuy but many winter shower gels first! Also finished sample of rimmel foundation. Really nice and never worn theirs before.
frustrated I too have packed rubbishly so had to buy conditioner I have litres at home. Arghh
But I will finish a Charlotte tilbury lipstick this week. Just a xmas sample size and no great shakes. Lovely beige when it goes on but then seems to oxidise to an odd peach which doesn't do much for me. Will not purchase full size.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 22/10/2016 08:33

Had drinks with a friend last night. She had been to Bobbi brown. And spent almost £200 on a consultation and new make up.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 22/10/2016 08:34

Am determjned to finish two things this weekend.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 22/10/2016 10:02

Clarins gentle exfoliating toner - GONE!

Ysl plum mascara - GONE!

Actually sad about the mascara. It really suited me. But is pricey. Will repurchase but I have some no7 vouchers so will see if I can get similar there first.

mowglik · 22/10/2016 12:55

Finished 3 off my Halloween list
Simple moisturising hand wash
Molton Brown ylang ylang shower gel - was a mini, liked the smell but not enough to purchase again
Ultime essence shampoo - lovely but I prefer the elvive clay shampoo now for my greasy hair

Need to go back and find my list now as I didn't save it! But must be 5 or 6/12 Grin

FrustratedFrugal · 22/10/2016 13:12

Full-size Wellaflex hair mousse gone! I only use a tiny blob to sort out my fringe. It's great stuff but I average less than a can per year and still have two backups...

7/12 from my Christmas list gone!

I've done my seasonal makeup switchover. Going for creamy pale skin and dark lips. Juicy reds and bright pinks are stashed away (annoyingly, since I have three bright lipsticks that are days to weeks from gone). Deep burgundies and muted plums and mauves are in heavy rotation right now. Lipstick faves: Nars Anna, Chanel La Raffinee, and a matte mauve one from Kiko. Face gothic pale with Lily Lolo or Sensai, no bronzer, and just a tiny bit of cool pink no-name Italian dimestore blusher. Eyes made up in neutrals but using heavier than usual eye liner in bitter cocoa brown, trying to finish my Chanel Eclosion quad asap. And sleeping with gloves on to give some TLC to my hands and slathering my lizard legs in the wonderful citrus yellow satsuma smelling Joik moisturizer.

I do love my makeup stash...

Ashamed of my beauty product hoard - Part 3
Shesgotelectricboobs · 22/10/2016 14:22

I'm slathering the palmers cocoa butter fake tan moisturiser on. Off to NZ in march so must be tanned before then. Even if it's fake!!

I reckon I can get through a moisturiser and def a eye gel before 31st. I won't do 13. But I'll do a lot!

woodhill · 22/10/2016 17:36

Want t buy some Clarins, free gift so may treat myself. I have used a lot of my products up recently.

MrsDilligaf · 23/10/2016 05:20

Two empties:

Clinique Clarifying Lotion No2 - I love this stuff! I know that Clinique is like marmite but I have used this for years and I keep going back to it. I get through a bottle a year and generally get one for Christmas. For now though I will be using a Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic which was part of a QVC TSV.

Also finished an Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair eye cream. Oh. MY. GOD!!! I love this. LOVE IT! Unfortunately I have two eye creams to use up before I can repurchase otherwise I would be banging down the door of House of Fraser demanding a new one first thing in the morning.
