I would do, Rose, but not getting there until around 1100.

Funny old jaunt today to one of those absurdly picturesque hill towns Italy has lying about like it ain't no thang. Thirsty after our exertions up and down said hill, we stopped at one of those 'local' bars with plastic chairs and only men outside. It was one of those bars that attracts all the misfits. There was the man with the massive limp, who sat alone and ate biltong, the lairy one who comments on women, and the one with a voicebox. Then the barman took a glass of Prosecco and some olives on a tray into the pharmacy next door. #realitaly

Stropperella · 04/08/2016 22:32

I am going to move to Italy and live next to that bar and pharmacy, Herbs. Pls send the address. I will exist on a diet of painkillers, olives and prosecco. Like now, but in a more picturesque environment.

Today, while doing an impersonation for a friend of an angry sheep (as you do), I stamped my left foot, and lo, my back did fuck itself all over again. One weedy footstamp. My bin-jumping days are clearly over and I feel a massive depression coming on, due to my pathetic crippled state being sorely incompatible with my lifestyle. Dd today refused to get out of bed and declared herself too depressed to exist. We both should have quit while we were ahead at the end of yesterday. Feh.

bigTillyMint · 05/08/2016 01:11

Oh no Stropps Sad Am crossing everything that it miraculously rights itself overnight.

Herbs, the bar sounds great!

Here I am on the beach again at 7am Shock DD keeps waking early and is desperate to get a tan. The beach is busy with mainly locals and the sky is rather cloudy which is probably just as well for me!

Blackduck · 05/08/2016 06:27

H Stropps :(. Sorry.

BTM don't be fooled by them there clouds.....

motherinferior · 05/08/2016 07:16

Yep, BTM, you can burn just as much through cloud!

Stropps, so sorry.

My lot have just departed. Am hoping I am in less of a filthy low mood when I see them again.

Oh MI a house to yourself :).
When do you go?

NUFC69 · 05/08/2016 07:35

Enjoy your solitude, MI.

I third the being careful when it's cloudy, BTM: my worst time with sunburn was after we spent a cloudy day on the water on our last day in Olu Deniz in Turkey. Must admit I didn't know about the aloe vera remedy.

Sorry to hear that you have done your back again, Stropps.Flowers

We have visitors for dinner tonight, so I must try to get rid of the layers of dust over everything (and cook!). Unexpectedly having DGS1 for a couple of hours - I feel a trip to an ice cream parlour coming on.

No more sunburn today - I stayed firmly under the parasol most of the time. I too know about burning in cloudy weathe - DS in Kerala a few years ago BlushBlushBlush

NU, ice cream parlour sounds just the ticket!

MI, I am a bit Envy of you - DD has not slept well for days and is consequently wxtremely challenging. Here's hoping she can keep her gob shut on a family trip for a pedi!

Oh bugger Strpps im so bloody sorry.
Please rest the back k today. And see Jesus pronto i suppose. Argh! You were doing so well. Dont let the Black dog hang around. Baby steps towards recovery. As my Pilates lady says
Look at yourself with curious etes, not critical ones.

We are having a gorgeous sunny day.
Our anniversary meal is tonight. Cant wait. ( Bordeaux)

bigTillyMint · 05/08/2016 11:17

Pedi was a great success! DS had his feet cheese-gratered (too much footy takes its toll!) - the pile of dead, hard skin at the end was disgusting!

Rosebag · 05/08/2016 11:26

Ok msrS never mind but if you suddenly have the need to get away, message me on FB or MN. I'm knocking around the village all day. The girls have opted to go back shopping again despite the beautiful weather Confused.

I am having a nice drink on a cafe terrace near the beach, well known to beachy so bugger them. I'm ok. The most I'll have to do is pick up later and the scuttle back to my beachside perch. Although having said that, DDs plus 2 are going home later and being replaced by DH and DS2. Beds to be stripped and re made I expect. NU you are putting me in mind of an ice cream....Grin before lunch

stropps sorry you've relapsed. What a bugger. I guess the area is still inflamed and primed for one wrong move. Get thee back to Jesus. Amen. Flowers

tilly herbs cremo hols do sound good inspite of surly teens, train obsessed boffins and the like. Smile how is addle getting on? And happy anniversary to cremo Wine

MI do enjoy your peace. I can't imagine DH whisking my DC off for much more than a day out ... Envy

Looking forward to meeting up with beachy on a day next week.

Now who else can I tempt down...it's so lovely here Smile

Rosebag · 05/08/2016 11:28

tilly euuuwwwww Grin

motherinferior · 05/08/2016 11:45

Don't worry, Rudy, I'm already loving it! Will go out for a drink with a lovely friend who has returned after going round the world with both kids, tonight, and then I'm going to read AS LONG AS I LIKE. Admittedly I do have to get up early to go to see my dad...but will stay over with an old friend and then come back on slow train but first class on Sun Grin

Sounds perfect, MI

Anniversary meal sounds fab Cremo. Is it a significant number? We often forget ours Blush

Lalsy · 05/08/2016 12:44

Urrrrgh BTM. Mind races through ways of getting ds to show me his feet.....

MI and Rose enjoy the peace. We are off tomorrow, a little way west of where you were WAF, an the forecast is so promising we are not packing waterproof trousers or, in my case, socks! It may get to 19 some days! Kindle loaded, car topbox surf board wrangling awaits then yabba dabba dooooooo! I am excited.

Crem, happy happy anniversary.

Christ, Stropps, as it were, how are you today?

MrsSchadenfreude · 05/08/2016 15:12

I am a bit damp. Got knocked over in sea by a large wave. Am fully clothed....

Blackduck · 05/08/2016 15:16

MrsS :)
Crepeys anyone around back end of next week - I may need a 'Dark and Stormy' in preparation for the memorial...

NUFC69 · 05/08/2016 15:17

MrsS, that reminds me of falling in Loch Lomond fully clothed on the hottest day of the year. A very kind man loaned me a black plastic Mac so I could at least take off my jeans and try to dry them. Grin I hope you're not as uncomfortable as I was.

Happy anniversary, Crem. Have a lovely meal later.

bigTillyMint · 05/08/2016 15:32

MrsS Grin Only you!

BD , sadly I am not.

I am praying that Moaning Minnie gets some sleep tonight as I am just about ready to strangle her. Happy family holidays.

hattymattie · 05/08/2016 16:49

Crem - have a lovely meal tonight, happy anniversary xx

Stropps - so sorry to hear about your relapse - so frustrating. Hope Jesus can sort it out.

Glad you're finally able to chill MI.

Have had a very boring day here today - washed cushion covers - a thing that does not get done very often.

Talking of surly teens - DS is beginning to sound like Adrien Mole with his constant negativity and reluctance to do anything.

BTM - hope DD gets some sleep tonight - and yuk at DS's toe shavings.

Am patiently awaiting DH so I can have rosé although I may crack.

motherinferior · 05/08/2016 17:08

BD, definitely here. Not off till a week tomorrow and always ready with a D&S. Just call me out...

have had enough of today and am going to chill, possibly with a glass of the cooking red Grin

Happy anniversary, Crem, have a lovely evening.

I'm around, BD, though a bit sad and weepy. We could be sad together.

Sympathies on the back, Stropps. Mine is also awful. Physio dismayed at lack of progress. Proceeding to scans etc. Still not driving :-(

I see you've checked in to a location some way out to sea on FB MrsS.

MI hope you find your DD in reasonable shape.
