I did have a computer mock up done when I booked it but it was quite big and we now need to cover tattoos in work so I phoned and said Id have a smaller one done.
As far as I know they do a drawing.
I have a couple of ideas.

Hi everyone! This is one of many of mine. It's a sand timer with "this will pass" due to various issues. I'm getting the whole arm background in september, a long process finally done!

Wow Down that is beautiful.

Does the time on the clock represent what time your son was born?

Oooh, just the thread I was after! I have two tattoos, a swirly William Morris leaf design on my left hip and the Chinese characters for goddess on the small of my back. The latter was a memento of a tough time I went through after a messy breakup and my friend used to say "remain goddess at all times" when I was being flaky and running back to my ex. Fast forward 15 years and I am very happily married with 3 lovely kids and would like to cover the Chinese characters with something a bit bigger (not that much bigger tbh) which is prettier. I'm into cross stitch in a big way and there are ideas I've seen online which are designed to look stitched. I design my own cross stitch patterns so can design the tattoo, I'm just not sure what is needed to cover up the black characters. Also I live in deepest darkest Cornwall so not sure where to go for one.

Does anyone have any advice please? Pics attached of existing tattoo plus two off the web to g

Despite what Tattoo Fixers has us believe, tattoos aren't always that easy to cover. And black could only be covered by more black (or dark dense colours) to be honest.

There's no way the delicate cross stitch effect of those tattoos (pretty, by the way!) would cover what you've got. If were you I'd get the cross stitch tattoo somewhere else. Or laser?

Well having spent the last two hours researching I conclude that cross stitch effect isn't going to cover up the symbols. So I need something solid in black, purple, blue or dark green ( apparently) to cover them and can then go out either side ( or up ) with additional design. Keen on black lace effect or maybe a feather, stars or birds. Any ideas?

Love love love the cross stitch tattoos.

And I love the sleeve and the watch tattoos :) sorry I am crap at remembering names!

You may be able to do more to the tattoo pigeon, if you have a couple of seasons of laser first, then you may be able to have something less dense. Roses are quite commonly used for cover ups, but it's definitely easier if you have some black lasered out

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a while, I think I know the answer but wanted to double check, if you're pregnant it's not advisable to get a tattoo is it?

I booked in for mine a couple of weeks ago for September and last week found out I'm pregnant.

downstairs, they are lovely. I would love a sleeve but can't for work :(.
Pigeon those cross stitch patterns are lovely. for the cover up you would need something dense but only over the actual tattoo so you could have like a rose over it with delicate lace around or something I bet.
Mrs Bellefleur it is not advised to get a tattoo when pregnant, sorry.

I am toying with a few new ideas - I really must stop, got a batman themed idea brewing and I think it would need to be by this lady.
I definitely can;t afford it at the moment though with 2 fairly expansive ones booked in already. Something to save up for next year. I think looking at tattoos has become my hobby Blush.

Thanks all! I'm the same dita instagram is so easy to get addicted to. I love Amy savage, she originally worked in Hornchurch which is near my home town then I moved and now she's also moved here! Odd as it's 70 miles away so what are the chances! I would love to have something by her.

These are my thigh tattoos. Deer and flowers, and the other will be (currently unfinished) a kitsch type kitty in a heart shaped frame, Ruth Cath kidston style wall paper flowers in the background!

I really want a bouquet of flowers on my arm representing my Mum and her family.

This is my cover up I got done today, sorry the cling film is still on it!
The purple is covering a terrible looking dove, I wanted it more water colour but we had to go with a splat to get the ink covered.
The symbol is much bigger than the original which just looked like a purple smudge.
