Which dress is better? Two choices!

I'm 7 months pregnant and attending a family members wedding in a few weeks.

Which dress is better?! It will be quite a laid back bohemian wedding.

The pink really doesn't suit the bump. The top doesn't fit, either. The blue one is okay but it doesn't do anything for your figure!

Would you wear an embroidered maxi dress? There are some lovely ones at ASOS. The maternity occasionwear will suit much better.

I feel awful for saying it, but you did ask. And you'd look amazing in the right dress.

NancyJoan · 09/06/2016 18:00

The blue. Looks fab on you.

DaisyFranceLynch · 09/06/2016 18:01

Definitely the blue. It's really pretty.

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 09/06/2016 18:03

I reckon that for a family wedding at 8 months pregnant when you'll probably never wear the dress again you don't need "the perfect dress". People will be looking at a) the bride b) your bump c) optimistically, your lovely pre-natal glow and thick lustrous hair. A "nice" dress is good enough and the blue dress is perfectly nice, go for it.

Obviously that's assuming these are dresses you already have in your wardrobe. If you ordered them last week and still have the receipt and packaging sitting on the dressing table then feel free to hit all the lovely Serafine links posted above in search of the "perfect dress".

Blue is miles better than the pink.

Yes, not sure about the pink one, it belongs to a friend so haven't had to pay for it. The Temperley one I bought but it's always been a big big.

Another vote for the blue here.

burnishedsilver · 09/06/2016 18:13

Out if the two I'd have to go with the blue.
The pink isn't working.

FlossiesFurCoat · 09/06/2016 18:16

Haha, yes, I was never sure about the pink.... The colour and the size makes me feel a bit like a pig, also a bit like underwear, or the two combined....

Another vote for the blue, especially as you say it will be a laid back event.

Uggh, third time luckily with these links!

Blue.

FlossiesFurCoat · 09/06/2016 18:20

Yes, very bohemian and laid back. The bride, my dads fiancée, is wearing a vintage taffeta prom dress with a lace body underneath. Sounds awful but actually looks beautiful.

Flossies I love the first ASOS link! Might be too 'glitzy' for the event if it's laid back though?

I really love it- I'm going to be 8 months pregnant at a formal wedding in October so I've just added it to my list Grin

LondonStill83 · 09/06/2016 18:35

Op, the pink is awful...

The blue is fine but does nothing for you- makes you look like my mother in law! She is lovely but this isn't a good thing...

Get a nice flowy maxi dress with a flattering bust, bohemian pattern, and v neck. You can then use it for nursing later on so it won't be a one off!

LadyAntonella · 09/06/2016 18:48

The first Asos link is my favourite by far!

Of the ones you already have though, I'd also say the blue one. Smile

gingerbreadmanm · 09/06/2016 18:54

The pink doesnt fit. The blue looks like an old lady who has spread a bit in the stomache department.

I would go for a maternity dress and really showcase your bump. Topshop has some lovely stuff on.

Both of your links are 2000% improvements. Either would be gorgeous.

bakeoffcake · 09/06/2016 19:12

Love the first ASOS one.

RJnomore1 · 09/06/2016 19:21

I'm going to go against the grain. Pink one and get a wonder bra on.

Alternatively I like the second Asos one.

P1nkP0ppy · 09/06/2016 19:26

I like Asos number 1; the first two are definitely out imo 😳

Nogravyforyou · 09/06/2016 19:27

Love the gold Asos one!
