Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

I would ask - so would anyone, I think - meaning is there anything in particular. He tends to ask it in the sense of starting from scratch. I assume he'll pick up enough to keep body and soul together. If it turns out I am staying tonight I can work something out.

MrsSchadenfreude · 06/05/2016 09:19

I am running very late this morning so am having a fortifying bacon sandwich and huge mug of tea before heading into work. Not a good idea to go out midweek, I think. But I never learn.

Have done something to my foot and am hobbling as if I am 90.

MontserratCaballe · 06/05/2016 10:20

Sorry for DD woes, BTM. Also rubbish to have a DH keeping you awake. Hope the inspection goes well Smile. Also, a French House is opening in C Pal. Should we go and check it out - or we could go local in L Lane. I need a bit of French grub.

MrsS you are a legend. Hope the foot heals.

CV, I am doing so badly on the ladyjogging. I am working all weekend - Shock - so nothing til Monday. I will be on my knees by then anyway. I also love Julian and find him timeless and very well preserved.

Crem - I would be delighted to join you for your birthday celebrations. It sounds amazing. Thank you.

Herbs - I too am out of the Masterchef loop and am backing Juanita. I think Billy is inconsistent and Jane is too simpering. I think Jack will win though. DH out tonight so I shall be tuning in toute seule. I realise one of them is gone but I don't know who yet.

In S and B news, I have an email from Sainsbo's telling me my skirt has arrived. Go me.

Conundrum here - my lovely childminder / nanny person is helping herself to my perfume. I can smell it on her so I have put the bottle in a particular place to see if she's moved it (as she might just have bought her own and sprayed herself before I get in). Do I say something? And if so, what and how?

Laters, my lovelies.....

hattymattie · 06/05/2016 10:35

Hide it Herbs - is it just one spray out of curiosity or is it regular?

Beautiful day here and extended bank holiday for everybody - we're celebrating our 21 years of putting with each other today!

I missed Masterchef as DH wanted to watch Game of Thrones (he hates and has tolerated weeks of Masterchef). I'm going to look at the Telly Addicts thread to see what has happened.

hattymattie · 06/05/2016 10:37

"putting up with each other" - why do I think I've typed a word and then find it's not there Confused

Cremo · 06/05/2016 11:32

Happy anniversary Hatty. Hope you have something nice planned. Apparently 21st is Irises, so you can hopefully expect a big bunch Hmm

It is finally a nice day here and I am off, a combination that rarely happens.
I will mostly potter round the garden, then go and see the dps.
This weekend looks like a scorcher.

Mrs S hope you are ok in mind and body today. Flowers Halo

Cremo · 06/05/2016 11:33

Yes Monty I'd stash it , and ignore. And keep an eye out for similar indiscretions in future. Maybe it was just too tempting.

bigTillyMint · 06/05/2016 11:37

Monty, the one in LL is great (and some of us Crepeys have been there before!) - it would be lovely to have an Eat-up Meet up there!

I would hide the perfume like I have done from DD and see what happensWink

bigTillyMint · 06/05/2016 11:49

Happy Anniversary Hatty! My BFF's is today too (16 years - married exactly 2 weeks after us!)

Cremo, happy pottering! You deserve a relaxing day.

Dreamqueen · 06/05/2016 11:55

Happy weekend crepeys!

I had a lovely evening with my brothers last night but unfortunately consumed too much gin. Moving very slowly this morning.

Hoping to catch up on posts. I'm still stuck in poor wifi wilderness.

NUFC69 · 06/05/2016 13:41

Thinking about you, MI.

Having a dreadful morning: DDiL took DGS (1.11) to GP and has been sent straight to hospital for a chest X-ray. In the meantime, I have collected his sister from nursery and she has the odd spot on her body - chickenpox is doing the rounds. Sad Oh, and a couple of days ago when the washing machine engineer came out, he told us that none of the sockets in the utility room are earthed - we have an electrician coming out later. Will have a proper catch up when I have time.

Lalsy · 06/05/2016 13:46

NU, hope all is well. And your day gets better.

motherinferior · 06/05/2016 14:21

And thinking back about you, NU!

MontserratCaballe · 06/05/2016 14:55

Sorry to hear that, NU. How is he now? And DGD? Hope it's out of the way quickly if it is the pox.

MI, how are things in Norwich today?

Nice to see you DQ.

bigTillyMint · 06/05/2016 15:10

NU, one of my colleagues got chicken pox for the first time a couple of weeks ago. He is over 40Grin Hope it doesn't cause too much hassle for you all.
Or the wiring. I'm sure we need a total rewire, given that the fuse box was about 50years old.

It's finally the weekend Wine

Rosebag · 06/05/2016 16:48

mrsS I am not bosom hoiking. I am a bit norty and am suggesting that you might need to deal with this situation to break the tension that's building up between you. Grin How you do that...well, depends how much you've drunk I suppose. I wonder if a reflexologist would interpret your bad foot as an unresolved conflict....

tilly I hope you get more sleep tonight. It worries me that the current school system is causing so much stress in staff and students. In a shock announcement a week ago, DS's HT has taken indefinite leave of absence and been replaced by a Consultant Head from the LEA. It doesn't look good....

MI Flowers
nU Flowers

monty dunno. Difficult one. Hide it and see what happens. My bonkers MIL always spritzes herself with my Chanel, and once told me she'd used my tooth brush....nut job. Will answer your text xx

Gorgeous weather here and feeling a distinct lack of suitable clothes. I have dug out cropped chinos for today. Private client session today a long drive away, but worth it I think. Then long drive back for teachers meeting and shared lunch in the sun. Am now sitting in the sun lounge at home enjoying the late afternoon sun whilst DD slogs through a chemistry paper, poor thing. Excited for the Masterchef final tonight. I too am shocked by yesterday's result ....bad decision, Ref. Have decided that fri night dinner will be in the garden tonight. Smile

herbaceous · 06/05/2016 16:58

What ho, crepeys. I am holed up in my study, overlooking the lovely sunny garden, planning a lesson. AGAIN. I've worked out that I'm working five days a week, and being paid for 1.5. Shome mishtake shurely.

Considering not typing out a proper lesson plan, in an act of rebellion.

Mrs S and Rose. I too am norty, and was merely hoiking my bosoms in an ironic fashion. I think Mrs S should give That Man a damn good seeing to in a corner office, and see what happens after that. If it all comes to naught, be good material for her next novel!

motherinferior · 06/05/2016 17:17

Am on way home. I know it is selfish to leave him on his own (apart from the masses of trained staff who come and go) but I really want this weekend in the sun with my lot. It's the third weekend she wasn't expected to last...

Blackduck · 06/05/2016 17:19

MI not selfish at all. The support is there. You can go back if things take a turn....

Here getting ready for the onslaught of 10 teens tomorrow.... Will need a large glass at the end of it....

NUFC69 · 06/05/2016 17:53

Of course it's not selfish, MI.

They are keeping DGS in hospital until 7.30 - he's on a nebuliser. Needless to say, DS has been in London for the last couple of nights, but should be arriving in Newcastle shortly - he'll go directly to the hospital.

El trivial didn't come ...

MrsSchadenfreude · 06/05/2016 18:36

Herbs and Rose ShockShockShockGrin

I am sucking on a grapefruit kir royale and feel much better for it.

MrsSchadenfreude · 06/05/2016 18:38

Monty - what is the perfume?

NU - he will feel much better after the nebuliser. I am an unfit mother, and didn't notice that DD2 was ill once, when she was little, In my defence she had no temperature, no cough and no wheezing. She complained that her chest hurt, I took her to the doctor in exasperation at her whining and she had double pneumonia.

Rosebag · 06/05/2016 18:47

MrsS we are the MN antichrist...imagine of you went on the Relationship forum....
We'd all get roasted Grin

MI you are doing the right thing. You can get back there quickly if necessary xx

NU Wish DGD better. Flowers

MrsSchadenfreude · 06/05/2016 18:55

You are all very bad. Nothing will happen. Maybe I should post anonymously on relationships to watch what happens? Grin

herbaceous · 06/05/2016 19:10

DS has just shouted from the bath: "Mummy, come and pour water in my bum hole."
