Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

Herbs, Grin

Thank you for all the good wishes. DDiL has just been back: they are keeping him in so she needed bits and pieces. She is worried that it is pneumonia and they aren't telling her.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 06/05/2016 20:03

Herbs, is he Julian Clary's long lost secret love child? His understudy?

Mrs S, I'm not hoiking but I am certainly not EGGING YOU ON like some of your so called Crepey friends...

THANK THE LORD, HOORAY X 1000......DH's promotion to Director has FINALLY COME THROUGH.

I'm so happy for him I actually shed a little tear. Then cracked open a bottle of champagne that has been in the fridge so long it has become vintage. It has been so long coming - it was first talked about at least six years ago, then there was the recession/lay-offs, then a recruitment freeze, then company takeover on the horizon...blah blah blah.....each obstacle not of his making, but incredibly frustrating when it clearly was deserved long ago. It was sooo important that it happened before October when he becomes part of the "new" company, and I think DH was prepared to walk if it didn't....but now it has.....I'm so so relieved (can't you tell?).GrinGrinWineGrin

Very Very well done to Mr CV! Lovely news CV, so refreshing when good work and loyalty etc actually get recognised and rewarded - even if it was too long coming.

Anyone else struggling to adapt clothing to sudden tropical temperatures or is it just me - I've been wearing a winter coat, thick tights and ankle boots for so long I can't remember how to wear anything else. It took me about 45 minutes to decide what to wear yesterday - couldn't stop dithering and nothing was 'right'.

Looking forward to the weekend - our plans seems involve endless delicious meals.

MI, may I add a few words of sympathy too. I'm verySad saddened by your loss. I know it was expected but nonetheless, do award yourself some time to grieve once the next few weeks have passed.
Sending love and enormous respect for the way you have managed these last few months with such wit and courage.Flowers
