Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

What?? This wasn't a public exam, was it, BTM? If so, that's terrible. I hope she has been able to rally for the re-sit.

Great news on the all-clear, Rose. And hope you make a few bucks on eBay. I have a few auctions finishing this evening, but don't expect many to seel (except the curtains).

Auriga - what a pain. And what a waste of your time. Angry

MrsS - Sad Flowers

NU - sooo close to getting your house back - it will seem awfully quiet!

Nothing much to report here...gable end all finished; just got to pay the bill now. DS had English Literature this morning, probably his least favourite subject, but he said he was writing (well, typing) right up to the wire, which is a good sign for him (he usually runs out of inspiration far too soon).

Lalsy · 23/05/2016 17:58

Shock Tilly, your poor dd. That's awful. Good for her. Not surprised you are proud.

Shock for you too Auriga, I thought the same re SRA on basis of great ignorance. Would like to see their reaction if people didn't pay their fees.

Rose, good news on appointment.

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/05/2016 17:59

I am a bit of an emotional mess at the moment for a variety of reasons. I am contemplating more gin or perhaps more sensibly, tea. My scar is still really quite sore as well.

DH always seems to have a headache or a sore throat or hurty knee or something. Unless I'd been at death's door I'd have crawled out to say hello. Arse.

Lalsy · 23/05/2016 18:04

MrsS, I hope you are OK. Is there anything you would like to do?

hattymattie · 23/05/2016 18:12

Mrs S - I would expect my DH to have at least got a meal on the table for my return. Any chance of ordering in a Chinese or something?

DD1 had a tough exam today - contract law which sounds dire. She says everybody said it was bad though - I expect that's some consolation. The worst if you find it bad and everybody else says it's OK.

Rosebag · 23/05/2016 18:25

MrsS Take some pain killers for the wound. Drink tea not booze, yes. Call a brief truce with DH until you're feeling stronger, and get a delivery of some kind of takeaway. You need pain relief, rest and food. There's nothing like lack of those things to fuel a melt down. Flowers xx

bigTillyMint · 23/05/2016 18:54

Thanks Crepsters - she has gone off with her lovely friends who waited for her (revising in the library) to get a Morleys as a treatGrin I imagine she will be exhausted later.
It was an external exam, CV - AS level!!! Make sure you pass on to your DS to double check everything!

Auriga, that's absolutely awful - listen to Monty and do it!

Rose, thumbs up!

MrsS, you need a Morleys, delivered by a hench young buff ting, nahGrinGrinGrin

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/05/2016 20:42

Ah! Ah! Wetin is disting of which you speak? Morley's is small chop? Suya? Jollof rice?

herbaceous · 23/05/2016 22:09

Indeed. What the deuce is a morleys?

Lalsy · 23/05/2016 22:20

Morleys is a chicken shop I think.

MrsS, well put. Hope you are ok and you can get a good night's sleep.

Cremo · 23/05/2016 22:27

Has MI done a 'Shirley' ?

Hear hear to takeaway Monday's. It should be a law.

Auriga I'd be fuming and probably Iill this stage . You don't need this sort of nonsense with two recent bereavements. Unjust in the extreme💐 Report their sorry asses. I mean what sort of corporate culture are they promoting? / allowing?

Mrs s , rest well you poor overwrought thing.

Going to bed now as have early start and busy day tomorrow.

In S & B news, have new Boden curved waist dress in black. Useful dress, possibly a bit low at the front for the office, but nothing a scarf or cami can't handle. Not buying any more Boden patterns ever, due to seeing them everywhere in my office. It comes up huge though, have had to size down.

motherinferior · 23/05/2016 23:05

Still on planet. More later Grin

bigTillyMint · 24/05/2016 07:09

Morley's is da ting here - Lalsy was right (surely there must be one near you?!) - cheapie chicken shop frequented by the teens round hereGrin

MrsS, hope you're feeling a bit better this morning. It is sunny at least.

MrsSchadenfreude · 24/05/2016 07:51

I feel mildly hungover. Which I think is unfair as I switched to tea when I got home. On way in to work. Lovely morning!

addle · 24/05/2016 08:10

Hope all goes ok for you today Mrs S. Sunny morning helps

In S&B news I bought the Boden ruched skirt much recommended on another thread with a voucher and discount and it is indeed v nice.

Lalsy · 24/05/2016 08:25

Indeed, Tilly - ds' mates used to envy our choice of chicken shops and competing pound stores. Grin

MrsS, have a good day.

Lalsy · 24/05/2016 08:29

In ruched S and B news (not a phrase I thought I would ever write), I have a black swimsuit from Tesco. Jolly nice and £14. Stays up...most of the time.

Cremo · 24/05/2016 08:32

Oh flip i have a £10 for Boden i nearly forgot about. Thanks for inadvertently reminding me AddleSmile

We are sneezing and scratching with the pollen levels here. Constant runny noses.

Back to the dentist to get the sore tooth checked again. Fearing for its life unfortunately, as its still wobbly and a bit tender. Will need a bridge if he decides to yank it out.
I am an old woman now, with my false teeth and broken back.

Auriga, how is your back btw?

Btm i hope dd is getting a break today after yesterdays mess up. Outrageous that she was given the wrong paper. So sorry for her, but heartened by her stoicism in the face of adversity. A corner turned btm?

Rose did you make s bundle on eBay? I have sold a silk Ralph Lauren cardigan for pence, so am not pleased. Still it all counts. I use my cash for xmas and love having s little pot there and on topcashback for treats.Smile

Cremo · 24/05/2016 08:36

Ruching most useful for , erm, hiding a multitude of crepiness. I love a ruche, me.Grin

Lalsy · 24/05/2016 08:40

Crem, I love topcashback too - even tho I often forget to click through., it still adds up to nice treat money!

motherinferior · 24/05/2016 08:50

Bugger, I'd forgotten I had a boden £10 and just got a couple of Tshirts on offer - too late to do anything about it now!

bigTillyMint · 24/05/2016 09:16

My Boden £10 voucher expired on the 21stConfused

DD was in good spirits last night - I think the relief of finding it was the wrong paper rather than her not knowing the answers helped enormously. I hope it also means that the school tightens up on it's exams systems - she was adamant it wouldn't have happened at her old school as they have much tighter systems in place. Ironically.
Luckily she has a day and a half before the next one (but then the last one is Thurs morning!) so time to calm down and do last-minute revision, I hope!

hattymattie · 24/05/2016 09:35

I sent DD at uni a t shirt with my voucher - always handy and makes a nice surprise for her (usually). I like that Boden are doing longer length shorts for crepeys this year.

I have to tidy my food cupboards - DS runs amok in there and there are sprinklings of flour on the shelves plus general stickiness. To top it all an ant crawled out yesterday - I fear I can no longer put off investigating.
