Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

Heads? I hope not...head...sorry mrsS!!!!

hattymattie · 21/05/2016 08:14

Oh Lordy Mrs S - you've painted quite a picture. Hope she settles down. Remember - this time tomorrow it'll all be over.

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/05/2016 09:12

Cat has done world's biggest shit. Toilet too small to clean her up. Still panting (cat) and distressed (me).

Cremo · 21/05/2016 09:23

Oh bugger Mrs S. Can you wrap her in a blanket and hold her for a bit?
You poor things.
Its is a hilarious picture u paint of the situation. Can you laugh about it? Save yourself from weeping?
I feel so sorry fir you.:(

Monty rather lovely stuff you got there!
I too am afeared of a patterned bottom half. Related to a particular photo of me taken in New York in 1990. Shock I swore id never wear pattern trews ever agsinGrin
£15 sounds about right tho.

bigTillyMint · 21/05/2016 09:32

Patterned trousers (usually loud, curtain-like fabric) were my staple in the mid 80's. And my bottom half was bigger then than it is now!

MrsS, that sounds very stressful for you (and smelly!), but maybe you'll get a carriage to yourselvesWink

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/05/2016 11:41

I keep thinking "Next time I travel with the cat I should..." And then I realise there won't be a next time. SadSadSad

addle · 21/05/2016 14:42

Mrs S, hope things are better now (not sure how long your train journey is) and you've been able to have a weep and non-shitty cuddle with Shitten.

MI - where are you now, white linen, red lippy and all?

Monty - nice stuff, am tempted to combine uniqlo with culture tomorrow.

Auriga - are you on for NPG tomorrow morning? I've PMed you and can send my mob. if you don't have it. Anyone else fancy it?

wordassociationfootball · 21/05/2016 15:12

Oh God Mrs S. Sister should prescribe you a lying down Japanese toilet. What a crappy business.

Monty does do very lovely eye make up on her v lovely eyes.

NUFC69 · 21/05/2016 15:50

How are you and the kitten doing now, MrsS? I hope you can settle her in. I will really miss DS's two cats when they all move out shortly. I had almost forgotten how lovely it is to have a cat sitting on your lap, gazing adoringly into your eyes (conveniently forgets the joys of rodents).

I am having a quiet day: DH has taken DGS1 out for his first proper ride on a "grown up" bike as opposed to his balance bike. I chickened out as my under carriage still hasn't recovered fromThursday's ride. DS and his family are at the first of two birthday parties: only a few more days to go until we have the house back to ourselves.

MI, are you ensconced yet?

motherinferior · 21/05/2016 16:13

Hellooool

Lalsy · 21/05/2016 17:19

That will be a yes then Grin.

hattymattie · 21/05/2016 17:47

Looks fabulous MISmile

Mrs S - I have spent a large part of today wondering how the cat handover went - do check in.

There was a local sale in the town today and DD2 got fabulous bras for 15 euros. She also came back with a rather risqué red thong complete with little jewel at the top. I'm not sure I approve - she certainly is not like my 17 year old self (or even my 52 year old self). She has now gone off to prom looking rather fabulous.

I am going to watch The Hollow Crown with the Cumberbitch.

bigTillyMint · 21/05/2016 17:52

Hope it went OK MrsS.

MIEnvy - I am in the clubroom at footy with the FA Cup blaring, oh joy.

Hatty, DD always used to sneer at my thongs, now she buys them whilst I have stopped wearing them!

Rosebag · 21/05/2016 18:22

I couldn't get on with thongs... Blush

MrsS what a time you're having... Poor you and poor smelly kitten. How are you feeling I'm yourself after yesterday Flowers

MI'looks idyllic. Smile Envy

Ouch NU !

I am somewhat tired. Teaching gig went ok this morning I think. And I was bought lunch which was quite nice. DH is watching the cup final. There is washing to sort and put away. Business as usual.

bigTillyMint · 21/05/2016 19:06

Please let someone score or there will be extra time Sad

NUFC69 · 21/05/2016 19:57

My derrière is too large for thongs, Rose - think sumo wrestler.Angry

I, too, am watching the FA Cup, BTM, and yes, it is in extra time. I thought the 'entertainment' beforehand was naff. And how embarrassing that the singer missed her cue for the National Anthem - poor girl.

It looks lovely, MI.

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 21/05/2016 20:24

So jealous MI....

I'm so excited about September, pity you can't come NU.

Rose, are you near me now, or next weekend? We might have to have a surreptitious meet up in a garden centre or somewhere off the beaten track!

I never got on with thongs plus I don't know how to hang them up on the washing line.....

Hope shitten has gambolled amongst the heathers and found her place. You made me laugh with your description of a broken, beaten woman with screaming cat on a train heading north!

All quiet here as dh and ds have headed west to pick up 'stuff' from uni. Ds desperately needed an injection of dd1 as he is troubled at the moment. I am here quietly with dd2 and her little mate, CV's friends little one Smile

I am very, very behind with my garden! And my arm still hurts, tennis elbow is f**king painful and frankly I'd quite like to chop my arm off Confused

Auriga · 21/05/2016 20:27

Addle, sorry I won't make it to the NPG tomorrow. Still incapacitated by back pain and was woken in the small hours today by full-blown migraine, which has lasted all day. Enjoy the exhibition. Say hello to Tolstoy & Mussorgsky for me Smile

MrsS hope the Shitten is being welcomed into her new home & calming down. And that you heal up soon.

Yesterday we heard that my beloved aunt has died. We knew she wouldn't hang around after Mum had gone. My poor cousins are relieved and devastated at the same time.

Rosebag · 21/05/2016 21:04

Beachy, it's next weekend but I am hoping to stay on til the Wednesday or Thursday, and may be able to slip away at some point for a secret meet up!! Grin Will be in touch... Smile Is there any way you can get better pain relief for your elbow? Flowers

And you Auriga I hope the pain is beginning to dissipate... Flowers Sorry to hear about your DAunt Sad

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/05/2016 21:28

Shitten's new Mummy is lovely and she will be spoiled rotten. She texted me to say she had cleaned Shitten up, Shitten had had a nice meal and was asleep on her blankie on the sofa.

I must have looked awful, red eyed and bandaged clutching smelly cat, as the guard followed me off the train to ask if I was alright. Still a bit tearful, but with friends who are plying me with gin, and we are going to the seaside tomorrow.

Dressing is off and I look like Frankenstein's monster.

bigTillyMint · 21/05/2016 21:51

Oh MrsSFlowers Well done and I hope the gin/seaside works wonders.

AurigaFlowers for you too.

DS got another trophy as well as the team medals, etc - managers player of the year, so I guess it was worth the 7 hours of my lifeWink

Collymollypuff · 21/05/2016 22:17

Yay to BTM Jnr! Sorry to hear about your aunt and your migraine, Auriga. Well done on the Shitten, MrsS, and look after yourself. Thanks

Enjoy the Russians, Addle, I'm sorry I couldn't make it.

Cremo · 21/05/2016 22:24

B TM that's lovely!

MI oh how lovely!

Auriga, so sad for you all. Im very sorry.

Ms S, im so glad you got puss there after trip from hell. You deserve a medal with your gin. Tis a good sign shes all curled up exhausted and comfy. Bless her wee paws. It will all come good.

Dh and I are ensconced in a BIG ASS hotel room in a big as hotel for the weekend.
No seriously this is the bigest hotel riom youve ever seen that comes under the description 'standard'.

How are you Molly?

Cremo · 21/05/2016 22:26

Dh has passed out on the giant sofa already. Hmm
Hence mnetting

CointreauVersial · 21/05/2016 22:49

BTM - well done to DS. That's the trophy to have!

MrsS - that must have been an awful journey. Sad Enjoy a bit of R&R before you head back home to the usual domestic crap, and be comforted by the fact that the Shitten is going to be well looked after.

MI - have a fab time, you deserve a break. Flowers

Crem - the dress is lovely, and will really suit you.

Monty - I have a very similar skirt, bought from the charity shop (of course). But I've never worn it, as I can't find anything for the top half. And DH, who clearly hasn't been reading the fashion press, thinks pleated skirts are 80s frumpsville.

Well, despite all the crepey tips about tea places near Nat Gall, in the end DFriend couldn't get there early, so we met up at the reunion itself and drank wine instead. It was a fun evening catching up with school buddies, some I haven't seen since we left, and others who were at the "big" reunion last year. I was strangely shocked to hear about the death (only two weeks ago) of someone who I considered my nemesis/arch enemy - she was the queen bee of my year, and we spent five years at loggerheads. I don't know why it affected me but I can't stop thinking about her today. Sad

Today has been rubbish weather, which is a shame as it was our village pageant. DH and I took a quick turn around the stalls, bought some doughnuts, admired the rescue greyhounds, stroked the tame owls, watched the maypole dancers etc. etc. but just as we were heading for home I found an excellent charity stall (of course). I picked some brand new Body Shop stuff, a crystal pendant and a pretty, but slightly grubby, silver-coloured bracelet......got home and had a good look at the jewellery - both were hallmarked and solid silver! A quick dunk in the silver dip, and I'm delighted with my bargains.
