Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

It's the sort of resort where I would hate to be on a longer holiday but will hugely enjoy for four 6(4, iv) days especially as a friend is on the same trip (she got me on when there was a drop out).

We're having a stirfry with nuts. Once I make it!

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/05/2016 19:19

Quiche with salad and potato salad. Possibly German potato salad with gherkins.

Lalsy · 16/05/2016 19:22

Pie of leftovers with bought puff pastry on top.

addle · 16/05/2016 19:46

melanzane parmigiana but done like felicity cloake in guardian says you can without having to sodding deep fry the aubergine

irritable gloom here, crepeys. apparently the exam was vv tough and included topics not revised (ouch)

MI - SO pleased you're going. i'd love, love to go to Sardinia

Auriga - 11am on Sunday for npg? anyone else fancy it?

motherinferior · 16/05/2016 20:28

We have aubergines. I must do something with them this week. We also have a lot of meat now that DD1 has given up vegetarianism and DP has returned to his sausage-based culinary habits interspersed with occasional chicken.

The stirfry was both vegan and delicious, if you like noodles. And nuts.

They had pizza I had a slice of toast......

Lalsy · 16/05/2016 20:53

BD, that is not a dinner [stern look and Flowers]

Blackduck · 16/05/2016 20:59

I know, just couldn't be arsed......

Internal Review tomorrow - oh yes another audit....

addle · 16/05/2016 21:17

Oh BD, how very helpful for you all Hmm but do look after yourself Flowers

MI - when are you off to Sardinia?

bigTillyMint · 16/05/2016 21:32

Addle, was your DS doing Eco? AQA? DD said it was peak - there were multi-guess questions she didn't have a clue about.

BD, sorry to hear that - toast and internal review.

herbaceous · 16/05/2016 22:36

Leftover Quinn cottage pie, plus Mystery Worthy Leaf from the Riverford box.

I have worked out that it is actually costing me money to work at adult ed place.. I'm there three days a week, costing petrol, parking, lunch and the £30 I would be earning if I weren't doing admin. My 'variable' contract means that I'm getting about £66 a week. And working evenings and weekends. What a load of shite. There has been a restructure to save money. Unsurprisingly the two bosses, on about £70k a year, are still there. They designed the restructure.

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/05/2016 22:50

Leave the bastards, Herbs.

My work is a spiral of chaos. I need to brief my team about the restructuring tomorrow. Except they're not sure this is final. But I need to let them know anyway. Made the mistake of checking my blackberry to see a forest of emails sent over the past hour, barking deadlines at me for tomorrow morning. And new head of dept has now decreed that we are to have four (4, iv) internal meetings per week. One full team, one wider team, one team leaders and one with partners. They all say the same thing and there is no point and we just get more and more behind.

Hi BTM - yes, Eco. Which he wants to study at university ...

We've got a restructure going on too; not [yet] as horrible as Cremo and BD, but baffling and arbitrary decisions

DH off to a football tournament in Portugal for a week on Sunday. Clearly planned to avoid exam season. You may not remember but it's the one from which two years ago (Verona) he brought me back two extra large dish towels and last year (San Sebastian) ... nothing

bigTillyMint · 17/05/2016 07:59

Ooh addle, DH would approve (Eco is his subject!) - DD likes it, but as she doesn't do Maths, I think she couldn't "major" in it.
Is your DH playing?

Boo to restructures and Blackberry'sGrin

addle · 17/05/2016 08:26

Yes, playing - it's for over 50s, although he tells me it's much more tiring as a 57 year old. Fingers crossed no injuries.

bigTillyMint · 17/05/2016 08:48

addle, I banned DH from playing footy some time ago as he kept getting injuries. He is "only" 47Grin

I have no real idea how DD found her Eco as she has always "flopped" everything. I am just glad she is a quarter of the way throughGrin

magimedi · 17/05/2016 08:53

What is Eco??

bigTillyMint · 17/05/2016 08:55

EconomicsGrin

Dreamqueen · 17/05/2016 09:01

MI hope you have a lovely time in Sardinia.
Will catch up on thread later

Lalsy · 17/05/2016 09:01

dh still stuck with work BB too, something ot do with data security, so he has now got himself a second hand iphone and will carry two phones around with him. That will work seamlessly won't it Smile?

Herbs, sounds ludicrous, can you just resign? You might as well volunteer doing something your enjoy that is well organised as lose money this way surely?

Boo to all hideous restructuring tsars and economics examiners.

magimedi · 17/05/2016 09:05

Doh!

Grin
Rosebag · 17/05/2016 09:24

MI get thee to Sardinia. I have been, but to Forte Village...so I could have been anywhere, of course. The pool was so lovely I don't think we left the complex all week... Blush Pretty place.

Flowers herbs and BD yes LTB's

[tilly] [addle] So sorry for the Eco students if the exam was horrible... Flowers It's a tough subject anyway...DS1 dropped out of the A level. DH on the other hand is also an Eco graduate.... Hmm

DD has gone off for French and Biology today. We've worked like dogs, but god knows how she'll fare. DS2 has gone off to revise with a friend in a cafe in Hampstead of all places. I have a few quiet hours. I am fighting with myself about sitting forum to 2 hours at the blood test centre, in prep for my annual check up next week... (13 years on and it still has the ability for frighten the bejesus out of me...) or potter around the mall. The latter is winning.

Supper last night was breaded cod, slimming world chips, sautéed mushrooms and mushy peas. DH didn't make it home for supper....he's now averaging around 10pm these days Hmm
