Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

Thanks for that helpful advice, MM. Being a trusting soul it wouldn't have occurred to me that they might renege.

Rose, am a bit Shock at some of the girls at DD's school. Good luck to all the examines, by the way.

Cremo · 12/05/2016 12:19

Welcome back Cresset. Hope you can stay.
Herbs, am thinking of you and hoping things go well forya.
Stropps lovely to get your news. Glad to hear your still rabble rousing! I am always impressed by your energy. Those 5.30starts make me feel a bit ill.

So at 5.30 this morning I was with one of my she- goats who went into labour. Poor old thing collapsed with exhaustion and distress , so had to get t'Veterinary. Kid was stillborn, so we are both very sad today. And tired.Sad Somewhere in the midst of all this my tooth spontaneously felt better. Hmm
Saw the dentist finally this morning, and it was an infected gum which , with the salt water rinses I've been doing has drained. Sorry if you're having lunch.
It's all go. It's a bit like Springwatch.
Will probably go back to bed. Am done for with all the excitement.

CV, I hope ds has turned up, none the worse for wear.

Rosebag · 12/05/2016 12:42

It was primarily boys NU, actually. I think some girls got caught in the crossfire of shaving foam and flour, eggs etc etc. DD and her friends were indoors having their lunch, thank goodness. They'd never get involved in anything like that.

MrsS Flowers I'm all menopaused out...although when it happened I read everything I could get my hands on and would've been first in the queue for a web chat. Then I discovered HRT...

Poor creature, Cremo Do she-goats pine for their loss? How sad. Sad Glad your mouth is less hurtie, though...

MI you alright, chuck?xx

DD has done 3 hours biology revision and is having a break. I must do some work...class tonight.

Breaking news...we are going to get a WEBSITE!!!!!!!

Cremo · 12/05/2016 12:48

Yes Rose, she is crying ( sort of high pitched squeal) on and off. The host that is. Her sister is being so sweet , head bobbing her and licking her. Also pushing her 2 kids over to sleep against her.
Tragic, but that's nature I'm afraid.

Yay re Website!! Cool and exciting.

Lalsy, did you like the Grain store ?
Or was it a bit wortthy and vegetabley ? It's at the bottom of the shortlist. The others I have eaten in and enjoyed.

Rosebag · 12/05/2016 13:09

Oooh, that gets me right there, Cremo I cant bear it. We cant talk to them and explain...not that explaining is ever enough...Sad

herbaceous · 12/05/2016 13:14

Oh poor Goaty McGoatface. Losing her little kiddy. Makes me well up.

Well, interview went OK, I think. Long-drawn-out process, with lots of waiting about. Had an hour to write two presentations - one on the website, and what could be done to improve it, and one on how we'd promote the school to potential parents/pupils and the wider community. Then we had to sit awkwardly in the staff room while we took it in turns to have interviews. I was last. Bah. But lots of people came and said hello (I volunteered there last year), including the deputy head, who I hope will put a good word in for me.

Three candidates all v different: one already works there doing the job in a more junior capacity, one works with schools in a liaising kind of way, and then there was me. Amusing old duffer.

They'll let me know today!

NUFC69 · 12/05/2016 14:06

Fingers crossed then, Herbs. The school really doesn't want a flighty young thing, does it? So Crepey must be best.

Crem, so sad about the kid. And poor mum. Glad to hear your mouth is feeling better.

Stropps, i am definitely more bolshy the older I get - I hope things get sorted out for you.

In good news, the electrician has been out and looked at unearthed sockets in the utility room ( see comment from Bosch washing machine engineer last week) and, fortunately, it was just one loose wire so we now have electricity in there again.

Rose, you must pm me the website address so that I can have a look, please.

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2016 14:33

Oh Cremo, poor goatieSad

Herbs, fingers crossed!

NU, glad to hear you have had some good news.

Stropps, I hope they've got some decent bins for you to trashGrin

Rosebag · 12/05/2016 14:40

Have dived into the thread on dresses/tunics and leggings...going to get flamed I think. Support please Crepeys.... Grin

Rosebag · 12/05/2016 14:41

Well done herbs!

motherinferior · 12/05/2016 14:51

I have leapt in, Rose! You'll wrest my leggings from my cold dead thighs. With difficulty.

I think I want this top for my mum's funeral, btw...strikes the right fusion note?

(And hello to Cresset!)

Have managed some work and am going for a lie-down before getting my eyebrows done. I retain my priorities even in the face of bereavement-induced madness.

herbaceous · 12/05/2016 15:16

Sad Didn't get the job. Twats.

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2016 15:25

Oh no Sad

motherinferior · 12/05/2016 15:25

Wankbadgers

NUFC69 · 12/05/2016 15:44

Sorry to hear that, Herbs. Did they give any feedback? Do you think it was a foregone conclusion?

I like the top, MI.

Rosebag · 12/05/2016 15:47

They're nitwits herbs

Rosebag · 12/05/2016 15:48

Good top MI

herbaceous · 12/05/2016 15:51

A bit crushed. I was rather relying on getting the job to save me from admin hell, and now have to plough on. I've asked for detailed feedback. Am hoping it's more along the lines of 'over-qualified, and wants part time' than 'batty and bossy old frump'.

I love your top, MI. Marvellous.

magimedi · 12/05/2016 16:18

Utter tossers, Herbs.

Another vote for the top, MI.

Have just swum so feeling virtuous & rewarded myself with a piece of toast & PNB Grin

herbaceous · 12/05/2016 17:30

I am going to the pub. Wine will be consumed. Then I've got to work. Again. For no money. This sucks.

hattymattie · 12/05/2016 17:56

Sorry about the job Herbs, and admin hell.

MI - i absolutely love the top - go for it.

Magi - toast and pnb - one of the world's best comfort foods.

I'm knackered and feel like wine too but should step away. Nothing much going on today.

Crem - poor goat mama - well done to you being there at 5.30 am with toothache.

motherinferior · 12/05/2016 17:56

Top ordered - and because I had a HoF voucher from a work thing it set me back £13 (thirteen, xiii) which is pretty well charity shop pricesSmile

herbaceous · 12/05/2016 18:13

Ooh. TA job going at DS's school. Ooh.

Lalsy · 12/05/2016 18:41

MI, that top is perfect!

Herbs, the fools.

Crem, Grain Store - location is brilliant for clan gathering. We had a nice evening there but there is not much to love about it - it is massive and a bit soulless I thought. But fine.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 12/05/2016 18:52

You were being saved for better things Herbs (but the other place was clearly staffed by FOOLS!).
Nice top MI. One day at a time and all that.
Hi Cressett! Nice to see you. Stay and chat?
Rose didn't that all happen 2 years ago too at your dc's school?? Can you imagine getting chucked out at that stage of your school career - I'm hyperventilating just thinking about it. Hooray for your super sensible dd.
Come back and tell us about the menopause thread Mrs S - I'd like the summary rather than the experience of taking part. TIA.
Stropps, you are a living legend and we love you.
