Err, how did that happen with no one noticing!
It's because we're all on the dark and stormy, sloe gin and prosecco innit.

Sorry for the not v inspired title but I panicked.

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2016 20:08

Well I can't even find the menopause webchat, never mind take partGrin

Hope you are drowning your sorrows, HerbsWink

MI the top is lovely but dryclean only and will be great.

Had a call from the EA's DH decided to put DM's house on with. Only because he had text them to ask WTF is going on. The woman had the gall to basically say that it was on for too much. I pointed out that their manager had wanted to put it on for £30K more, but DH had suggested the current price which I had already said was at least 20K too much What a load of muppetsAngry

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/05/2016 20:17

I am on the bus. I have just sneezed suddenly and violently. My tampon has shot out and is nestling in my gusset. Thank fuck I am wearing tights.

NUFC69 · 12/05/2016 20:17

GGG, thank you for asking about the DGC: the 'baby' is improving slowly, but keeps on shooting a temperature - no sign of the pox, but it's early days yet). DGD is back to school tomorrow for the party to celebrate the Queen's birthday.

DH is cooking steak for a treat, but there is no sign of DS yet - typical.

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/05/2016 20:18

I am also a bit pissed. Have been out with DH. Shock

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/05/2016 20:19

Will not share tampon incident with DH. He is a bit too delicate for that.

addle · 12/05/2016 20:39

Mrs S - you put my knicker malfunction in the shade or possibly on the other side of the room with the force of the tampon

MI lovely top

NU - trust you now eating lovely steak

Herbs - they are idiots. Something better will come along

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2016 21:17

ROFL @ MrsS (and addle's post!)Grin

GiddyGiddyGoat · 12/05/2016 21:23

EEEW Mrs S. Not sure whether to be impressed by the force of your sneezing or just a little bit revolted - I'll settle for a bit of both I think. Hope it didn't work it's way down your leg as you walked from the bus stop - "Oh My God - a mouse in my tights!"
These things come in 3s I believe... who will be next for potential humiliating situation??

So sorry Herbs :( but ohh TA job at Ds school?!?

MrsS :)

Home tomorrow to see dead and back Saturday to quiet dinner with dp (Ds on sleepover).

Here we KBO

Lalsy · 12/05/2016 21:26

That's happened to me MrsS, tho luckily in a loo cubicle. It was very messy. I am pleased to announce that all my clothes and bodily functions have been under control today.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 12/05/2016 21:28

Sounds very hard BD, all the thing and froing and the worry of it all. Hope you're OK.

Blackduck · 12/05/2016 21:32

That should be dad - no-one dead yet...

Thanks GGG it is exhausting, but it's his birthday and he keeps asking when I'm next down as he pfeels very lonely. My dbros are great but they point spend time with him like I do. Hey ho, I get dinner and wine out of it so can't complain!

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2016 21:41

Awww BD, you are a fantastic DDSmile

CointreauVersial · 12/05/2016 21:46

ShockGrin at tampon incident.
Sad at poor goat mama.
Angry at not getting well deserved job offers.
and Grin for new tops, returning electricity, TA vacancies and healed gums!

Well, DS survived the night (ended up wedged with 12 mates on someone's living room floor) and staggered over to my office at 9.30am to dump muddy clothes in the car and beg for breakfast money. He was very tired and hungover, but behaved himself, and it sounds like there were no casualties from the evening. Today was the last day at school, so it's study leave from now on. None of this egg-throwing stuff here, thank goodness.

Took a call from a very downhearted DM - DAunt's scans reveal that the last five months of chemo has had absolutely no effect, so she's stopping treatment. She is already getting very tired. Sad

motherinferior · 12/05/2016 22:10

BD, want anyone to meet you for a supportive drink?

(It's ostensibly hand wash, BTM, and I shall put it on a gentle machine cycle!)

Blackduck · 12/05/2016 22:27

MI lovely idea but literally flying visit! Down Friday night - dinner with dad, see mum Saturday morning, and back up home. But up for something over H-T once I know ds's movements as doubtless down at some point for a couple of days....

Lalsy · 12/05/2016 22:34

MI, I have a top that is a bit similar and I have washed it fine in one of those net bags for bras [do I win the interesting post of the day prize?Smile].

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/05/2016 22:58

I can be available for a drink over the weekend... GrinWine

Blackduck · 13/05/2016 05:40

MrsS how are things?

hattymattie · 13/05/2016 06:27

Morning crepies - BD and MI - hope you are both coping - I don't think the current foggy damp weather is helping with those feeling a little down. (London and Paris have pretty much the same weather IMO)

Mrs S "nestling in my gusset" is going to stay with me as a phrase - it sounds slightly poetic ...

Have had a text from the Primary Head saying she wants to see me about next year. Hopefully this is good news.

Cremo · 13/05/2016 07:50

Thanks Lalsy.

Herbs so sorry about job. Bar-stewards Sad

Hatty-did you get a PM from me?

MontserratCaballe · 13/05/2016 08:10

Morning!

Herbs, so sorry about job. TA opportunity sounds promising though.

Hatty, good luck for your meeting.

Bd, thinking of you and sending love Flowers

Mrs S Shock, hope you are ok.

I am so tired. A day of laundry and house chores beckons. Possibly interspersed with a nap or two. Rock and roll.

MrsSchadenfreude · 13/05/2016 09:40

Herbs, they are fools. Fools, I say.

I have 101 chores to do and wanted to work from home this morning but it is Not Possible due to other people's Inflexible Working and the fact that my new boss is not in today. So they will have to be done tomorrow. Just what I needed, wasting Saturday morning going to the vet and the post office. Grr.

herbaceous · 13/05/2016 09:43

In Slough (sluff) of Despond. Have received feedback from interview, and she didn't even bother making a shit sandwich. Just the shit. Apparently I didn't relate my experience directly enough to how I'd help the school. Schoolgirl error. Though useful guidance for next time - it's not about me, it's about them.

Quick, crepeys - elderly parent guidance. I want to buy Dmum a birthday present that is both useful to the aged - giant-buttoned mobile type thing - but not too obviously an 'aid'. Any ideas? And it's got to be deliverable sharpish.
