Late to the party... But loving this thread, although it's costing me a fortune.
So far have ordered the Hush ruched skirt and matching azure blue t shirt, also Hush Tara dress in navy and the striped version ( at least one will go back).
Bought a maxi dress from M&S which I have worn twice already. Knitted but not too heavy and can be dressed up for evenings.

I bought the grey but considering the khaki as well.

Like this top from Jigsaw, as about to order some jeans from them.

Any thoughts?

I want some casual footwear but am not a fan of plimsoles, anyone wearing Toms this summer?

Ordered this top as well which is lovely, but a bit pricey for a vest top.( although used 20% code).

BeJayKayven · 04/06/2016 12:20

nearly I would definitely look at Laredoute for a linen vest

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/06/2016 12:25

Okay - avert your eyes, anybody who doesn't want to see ugly shoes. They are the sort of thing my RE teacher at school would have worn, so v v ugly, and not in an ironic Alexa Chung sort of way either.

Ugly shoes

They are the only pair I could find that they had in my size, that felt comfortable, and that weren't too flat for pounding the pavements all day on holiday. I'm hoping they will prove almost as comfortable as trainers, but cooler. They look fine on - not quite as offensive looking on the feet as they are in the picture!

Floisme · 04/06/2016 12:28

Ok not really a fan of those, sorry I feel bad now. I like them uglier than that.

Nearlyadoctor · 04/06/2016 12:29

Thanks Bejay will do!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/06/2016 12:32

No need to apologise. I really don't care if every man and his dog hate them. After trying on a zillion pairs, and looking at a zillion more online, these are the ones that work for me!

taybert · 04/06/2016 13:16

I've seen worse. Sometimes you just have to buy shoes that you can walk in and stuff.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/06/2016 16:34

Just walked three miles in them with no rubbing at all - I am v happy with my ugly shoes! Grin

taybert · 04/06/2016 16:40

My heels are not so happy! I should've never abandoned the Birks!

ARichVernacular · 04/06/2016 18:07

As predicted, the M&S chinos don't fit. Two pairs of 12R were weirdly tight around the arse and thighs (as in no stretch on the thighs when I did an experimental squat) and the 12L pouched out around the crotch. This is why I loathe trouser shopping so much.

Moshulu flats are perfect, just what I wanted for work :) Cheap stripy slip ons kept slipping off my heels, so they're going back.

JackandDiane · 04/06/2016 18:13

I ordered the Zara guipure lace bomber. I'm 65% sure will be awful

I tried a black lace bomber on in TK Maxx recently - looked brilliant on the hanger but horrible on me.

Buttonmoonb4tea · 04/06/2016 19:48

Wore those office sandals today and I must say they're quite comfy

WilburIsSomePig · 04/06/2016 21:11

this dress. Saw it in a shop today and it's lovely (well I think it is).

CointreauVersial · 05/06/2016 00:48

Remus - I'd happily wear those sandals. I've reached the stage in life when I really can't be bothered with uncomfortable shoes.

JackandDiane · 05/06/2016 06:38

I'm going to have to try and salvage this thread. Shock

Hate white stuff but love the dress. Hate the waist tie tho

Bought the Whistles Lola dress in their recent sale. Half price I think. Usually not my style at all. At all. But I like it. Size down. Haven't worn it yet, can't comment on its creasiness. And it is viscose which I hate but in a moment of bad shopping I never noticed.

JohnCheese · 05/06/2016 10:33

Pah. Tried it on for kids. It's a no from them. It'll be a no from H, it's not a tits and ass dress.

JohnCheese · 05/06/2016 10:36

Surprisingly, H gives dress thumbs up.

Keeping.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/06/2016 12:43

Thanks CV. Am wearing them again today and they are still beautifully comfortable. I am a happy person with happy feet!

I really like the=at White Company dress but it's viscose and so would probably crease like buggery.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/06/2016 12:44

???

White STUFF dress!

SayAGreatBigThankyou · 05/06/2016 12:58

I like the White Stuff dress too and usually hate their limpid offerings.

Need some slim jeans (not Next, Gap or Boden, they all fall off me as have no arse) and snakeskin skater shoes (not really me, but an itch that needs sratching).

JackandDiane · 05/06/2016 13:12

Skater shoes. Hot. And make you look like krusty. Or an old person who can't handle fastenings.
