I'm considering the Boden ruched off the shoulder top.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/06/2016 23:16

Good news re the sandals - am still toying with the Aldo ones.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/06/2016 23:16

Thanks, Primal.

JackandDiane · 01/06/2016 23:23

Woke up before everyone else this morning and used the time to internet shop. Ordered 3 pairs of those M&S chinos, a pair of flat shoes from Moshulu and a cheap pair of slip on trainers.

DH will make this face Hmm He seems to think that women should be able to get by with two or three footwear options despite the huge multiplicity of outfits available to us.

JackandDiane · 02/06/2016 10:14

i bet you the M and S chinos are huge on the thigh and high of waist....

I fucking hate buying trousers so operate on the assumption that whatever I buy will be shit Grin Apparently shortish size 12 women with completely average proportions just don't exist.

AdoraKiora · 02/06/2016 14:09

J&D I have very similar silver sandals from Next last year. Love them.

Its grey and cold in London this week. Really pissed off, as have loads of new stuff to wear yet am wearing jeans again Angry.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/06/2016 15:24

I tried the chinos on again today. They are definitely huge on the thigh. I decided that I didn't like them, even though dp still thought they looked nice.

I also tried to buy shoes and sandals in Clarks. It was RUBBISH. Not a single one of the EIGHT pairs I'd identified was available in my size. I'd gone in quite prepared to buy two or even three pairs, as I need various styles - not at all impressed!

LittleMissWagtail · 02/06/2016 16:24

Great thread - reminds me of the Avid and Wise threads. Am wearing my ski hat to work this week to protect me from hair frizz - in June! - so guess I have nothing useful to contribute.

ARichVernacular · 02/06/2016 17:17

Yes, not sure why I'm so keen to find the perfect summer work/casual attire, really Hmm it's fricking freezing and grey as hell.

Still, at least I'll be all set for the November heatwave.

CointreauVersial · 02/06/2016 18:09

Bargainous Mango culottes arrived today. They fit really nicely but are mega-creased, so I need to get an iron to them before I can decide whether to keep them. They do look really nice, in decent heavy fabric, but I'm worried they're a bit too, er, cutting edge for me. By which I mean, will people in my dull engineering office point and laugh when I bowl up to work in them on Monday?

wiltingfast · 02/06/2016 18:28

It's all in the attitude Cointreau, strut and they'll all feel dowdy Grin

cointreau they're viscose so will probably crease very heavily as soon as you wear them.. I know through bitter experience..

JackandDiane · 03/06/2016 07:13

Saw a mate in these last night www.clarks.co.uk/p/26117556

Looked great

I got these Birkenstocks I know they're marmite but they go well with loads of the summer stuff I've bought and they're a blessed relief after my Esska India sandals ripped my heels to shreds yesterday....
I like those clarks heeled sandals, I saw them on another thread but wondered if the heel/sole looked kinda plasticky. They look good IRL then?
Recommendations for casual boyfriend/girlfriend (what's the difference?!) turn up type jeans welcome.

JohnCheese · 03/06/2016 11:59

Love those Jack. I have a pair of Lotta ones from a couple of years back. I'm an unlikely clog wearer but I love them.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/06/2016 12:59

Tried those on in red a few weeks ago. Too big and wide for me, :(

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/06/2016 16:29

Bought two pairs today. You would all hate one pair of them, so I won't post pics!

Heeled sandals here.

The others are ugly ones which I'm hoping will be comfortable for city break schlepping in the summer hols.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/06/2016 22:52

Oh dear - my shoes have murdered the thread.

wiltingfast · 03/06/2016 23:23

You're gonna have to post a pic of the "bad" pair so we can all pile in and critique Grin

Cointreau, did you brave the culottes yet?

taybert · 04/06/2016 06:53

I like those Remus but agree we need to see the ugly ones!

JackandDiane · 04/06/2016 10:56

Bring them on Remus. I like ugly shoes. I think trying to make feet look pretty is silly.
