I have something a bit like that MI and wear it a lot. Depends on length really - mine is knee length and I wear it with thick tights and ankle boots. I have something a bit similar in grey but shorter and wear that with black skinny jeans - and ankle boots...
So sorry to hear how v poorly your Mum is (that even when you know how serious it all is it must be a terrible shock to hear the GP say that). Something will have to give re managing everything MI - just make sure it isn't you! Flowers

Glad to hear you are okish Monty. Hope you are too Auriga...

Stropps, lovely to see you on here - I miss you and your brilliant posting style and stories.

Am v sad but think I won't be around on the 30th. Is that the BH weekend??

bigTillyMint · 16/04/2016 18:05

Beachy, I am guessing you have checked the waste pipe bit (at the bottom on the front on ours)?
Can I ask how you found a wicker coffin? Or a cardboard one?

MI, I think Herbs' and Beachy's suggestions are good.

Off out tonight for a night out with DH to celebrate 20 (XX) years since we metShock

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 16/04/2016 18:12

I have had my hand up that little drain bit most of the day, BTM Smile To be honest, it hasn't been the same since we moved it from the kitchen into the utility room. It's so heavy to pull out, but I suspect the plumbing at the back is gunked up.

I don't know where we got the wicker coffin from, via the undertakers I think. She was cremated so it was a bit of a waste (I think it was actually more expensive than a regular one) but we thought it might be softer for the grandchildren. The only thing I would say is that it did creak dreadfully when they brought it in Blush We didn't really anticipate that.

Dreamqueen · 16/04/2016 18:14

I agree leggings or black skinny jeans Mi It's a nice top.

MontserratCaballe · 16/04/2016 18:19

BTM, when you go to the funeral people they offer you a choice of coffin, including wicker as standard. I wanted wicker but no one else did so we went with light oak. The lu also had a choice of hearse - including tractor, side car and camper van. They had a separate service for woodland burials too. I was amazed by the choice, even though we went v traditional in the end.

MI, I would wear leggings or tights with that. It's a nice dress.

30th - not sure if we will be in town yet but yes please if so.

Have a good night, BTM. 20 years - wow! Though certain crepeys must be even longer, judging by the ages of their kids. A mere 15y putting up with me for DH.

Had a sleep this afternoon and now watching bake off. Normal service slowly being resumed.

bigTillyMint · 16/04/2016 18:22

Ah, OK thanks Beachy and Monty. DM has a Funeral Plan, so I wonder if that's that the same. Can't imagine a tractor/campervan being on offer, but you never know!

motherinferior · 16/04/2016 18:31

Mr Inferior and I have been together for 16 years now Shock. I know this because DD1 is 15 Wink

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 16/04/2016 18:49

Bloody hell, we will have been together 27 years by the end of this year. No wonder I want to kill him Grin

GiddyGiddyGoat · 16/04/2016 18:54

26 years here... Blimey!

herbaceous · 16/04/2016 19:25

A mere 13 here. Still in the honeymoon phase. [sarcasm]

magimedi · 16/04/2016 19:36

32 years & nearly 31 of them married.

It nearly all came to an end today when he 'lost' his phone..................

Reader, it was in the pocket of his coat.

(he has been so nice to me for the rest of the day...........Grin )

No one could say we're a bunch of quitters could they?!

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/04/2016 21:14

Married 23 years this year. Officially got together about 18 months before that. (There was a slight grey area/overlap with exDP Blush.)

MrsSchadenfreude · 16/04/2016 21:15

[Slapper]

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 16/04/2016 22:47

My first date with dh was on my 4th anniversary with previous dp Blush. Dh keeps wanting to celebrate it as the date we got together, but I find having consecutive anniversaries with two different partners a tad awkward (but easier to remember, non?)

Blackduck · 16/04/2016 22:57

Coming up 30 years here..... (Bloody hello that's positively scary....)

Blackduck · 16/04/2016 22:58

I certainly couldn't be arsed with starting again...

Blackduck · 16/04/2016 22:59

Oh Beachy trying to imagine how that worked Grin

Hi guys, have I a technical issue, or have things gone quiet?

OP posts:
Cremo · 17/04/2016 00:05

As you were, another iPad issue.

Dh and I met 18 years ago, but not for the first time. Apparently we also met 46 years ago too, but hey, neither of us remember. But our dms do.Smile

Lalsy · 17/04/2016 09:17

Beachy, indeed, how...organised Grin.

Are you lot counting date of first meeting, or getting together, or what?

I have known dp about 30 years I think, been together 28ish. Christ.

Blackduck · 17/04/2016 09:39

Lalsy - first date here..... Knew him for about three months before that....

Scary amount of time...

bigTillyMint · 17/04/2016 09:57

20 years from our first date (3 days after we first met at a birthday do of a mutual friend) - we will have been married 16 years on WednesdaySmile

We ran into friends last night, so didn't have to talk to each other all night longGrin

I am still feeling shitty with a horrid cold, but the Beechams and the sunny morning hopefully will help because I have to accompany DD to her coaching exam later, miles away.
