Oh and before someone else sayso you should try primark/m&s/wool mark etc, i've tried them ALL. I have a big box full of tights in case I loose weight in case that is the issue. However they all fit fine with pants on top, i've just stuck with the comfiest which for me is ASOS.

but seriously. I'm usually a size 12, but wear size 16 tights (am tall). no uncomfortable slippage.

My mum always did/does this. I think it must be a 70s thing? I remember PE knicks over tights as a teenager. Might see if they sell them big enough for a 37 year old!
