My lovely DD had all her hair cut off yesterday. She's been thinking about it for ages so it wasn't a mad impulse.
She took a cute picture of an Anne Hathaway pixie cut with her. She also had some colour as she wanted to be blonder. She's very upset with how it looks and thinks is it is very middle aged and not pixie! I think she looks gorgeous but agree that the cut and colour isn't brilliant. It's so short though that we don't know how to change it...Are there any hairdressers out there who could advise? Can the cut be rescued without taking loads more off?? Please please help, I was so proud of her for being brave and going for a change and she's so upset.

That's great! What the hairdresser's opinion on the colour?

Upthenoonoo · 18/01/2016 12:35

Please report back and let us know how she got on with pictures of course

floooOoooatyfloooOooo · 18/01/2016 12:38

Ah good luck! Hope it's going well!
Even my mother said she would've let me off school if this had happened to me. And that's saying something as she was generally very strict and no nonsense!

Looking forward to the pictures! Smile

Shamelessly placemarking to see the result :)

DragonmotherKhaleesi · 18/01/2016 12:53

Place marking for the result. Poor dd!

pickledsiblings · 18/01/2016 12:55

OP you and your DD have such a lovely relationship. I really hope she's happy with the result. You've had lots of ideas/pics on here so fingers crossed!

SecretWitch · 18/01/2016 12:59

Crossing fingers for an excellent outcome. Your dd is lucky to have an understanding mum. I would do the same for my dd's.

ShinyShinyShiny · 18/01/2016 12:59

OP I think you've handled this brilliantly, your daughter is really lucky to have you as her Mum. Fingers crossed for a great result with the new hairdresser.

BatMobile · 18/01/2016 13:08

Gosh, your poor DD. Really hope these guys can fix it.

BatMobile · 18/01/2016 13:09

Echo what others are saying - your DD is lucky to have you as a mum.

MarthasHarbour · 18/01/2016 13:11

Place marking for a pic. I had the most horrendous perm when I was a teenager, so I feel her pain!

So glad she is getting sorted Smile

Needaninsight · 18/01/2016 13:23

I'm a teacher. I absolutely agree in taking the day off school.

Hair is very important at such a formative age. I had an awful hairstyle (aged 18, so a little older) but it crippled me confidence wise.

Dying to see the new result :) Shameless place marking.

snowypenguin · 18/01/2016 13:32

ah glad to hear things are working out OP. Hope your daughter is pleased with the results.

PotOfYoghurt · 18/01/2016 14:05

No update in a while... Either it's so stunningly beautiful that the OP is lost for words or it's all gone horribly, horribly wrong.

I hope it's the former!

Indecisivejo · 18/01/2016 14:28

I keep refreshing the page and getting excited when I see a new post but it's still not an update :( I wonder if everything is ok!

Sallyhasleftthebuilding · 18/01/2016 14:29

Inde - you just did that to me!

PolovesTubbyCustard · 18/01/2016 14:32

Sounds like this hairdresser might do the job.

I have v short hair at the moment - and have thick hair. It is difficult to get just the right style - so many are more suitable for fine, straight hair. But once it's done right, it looks good.

Will be waiting for the updated pic :)

Peppapigallowsmetoshower · 18/01/2016 14:44

Can't wait to see!

Indecisivejo · 18/01/2016 14:45

Ha ha sorry sally

AcrossthePond55 · 18/01/2016 14:46

Hope all goes well!

I agree with them about the colour. I'm one of the unfortunate few who's had an allergic reaction. It's pretty horrible.

Could they do a glass colour or a temporary rinse? Most of those don't have PPD in them.

LadyLuck81 · 18/01/2016 14:47

Just place marking. I hope this stylist has wither magic for her.
