Has anyone regretted Botox?

Nearly 30, I have two young children and another on the way - I think the next child and potential sleepless nights are going to age me even more!! So might consider Botox in the next year or two. Around my eyes are the worst.

Just wondering has anyone ever regretted having this done? I know there's lots who are anti Botox but just interested to hear negative from those who have actually had it done. Thanks.

Nope sorry!! I've had it and I love it. I had a bad experience with one women who over injected me and I didn't like the sensation in my forehead it kind of felt heavy. One of my eyes had a bit of droop as well, no one else would have noticed but I could tell. I now see a doctor who is fantastic.
If you do go ahead try and get a recommendation it makes such a difference if you have a really good person doing it.

None of my business, but you're waaaay to young imho.

I've had a bad experience. I'm not sure what happened, but my eyebrows drew together whilst simultaneously rising up at the end. It was classic "Spock". I had to re-pluck my eyebrows to kind of redress the balance, but it still looked odd for a while.

And yes, I got the heavy feeling in my forehead, like there was some concrete stuffed in it.

Other people can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe that Botox can help with lines around the eyes. It's used in the forehead only so helps with horizontal forehead creases or the vertical line some people can get between the eyebrows.

I used to have Botox when I was in my late 20's as a preventative. I didn't like the look of it for the first few days to a week as it would draw my eyebrows up higher but once it 'settled' I never had any problems with mine. I stopped using it about five years ago to save some money (I'm 33) but to be honest I've realised I've got pretty decent skin (pay off from the oily teenage years) so don't bother any more.

I'd say to give it a try....talk to them about what you want to achieve though as you may not see any difference around your eyes. It wears off after 3 months or so anyway so if you don't like it you can stop then X

PS: I wouldn't tell anyone though. I don't think anyone will notice and I was open about it and got the mick taken out of me by friends for years, even after I'd stopped!

If I did it again I wouldn't say anything and just leave them wondering how I look so refreshed!

ive had it done twice in the last year and im due another one. im 52. i only have it done between my brows and above one droopy eyelid. my friend had more done and it really improved the fan lines at the side of her eyes. my botox lady believes less is more so neither of us have the frozen look.

Mine wore off after about 10 weeks.
It was very sublte. I was very selective about who I told. Some people are just so judgey.

I have mine done every 4 months (funds permitting!) it can definitely be used for lines around the eyes. I have it for horizontal forehead lines but you also have to have in between your eyes done if you want to have your forehead done. I have the side of my eyes done and last time I went I had under my eyes done which I've never had done before. It sounds a lot but it looks really natural. I can't remember what it's called but he uses a technique where he does lots of injections but with a very small amount in each it's supposed to look more natural, something like scatter Botox?! Will try and remember but I've been very impressed.

It definitely is used for around the eyes. I have a very small amount injected for Crows feet and the results are amazing

I have it once a year in forehead, 11s and crow's feet. It really freshens up my face.

People ask me A LOT what skincare I use - I was never once asked before Botox!

I had it twice a year in my forehead from the age of 30-35. I'm 41 now and still look smoother than I did before I started, so for me it definitely had a preventative effect.

To be fair though I also ditched the fags, sun and regularly use acids and Retin A.

Following with interest. I'm in herts too, and similarly to the OP, almost 30, four very young kids. Fell seriously ill last summer, very worrying time. Took it's toll on me both mentally and physically. I've now got permanent lines in my forehead. Yes they're not deep, but they're there all the time. It would help make me feel better to get something done to them. Any recommendations would be great!

am 36 so ancient compared to you 30 year olds having it done!

I look back on old pics and I honestly looked about 20 at 30. seem to have aged really quick in last couple years though having dc3 didn't help Grin

I don't use anything special, Liquid Gold a couple of nights a week and alternate between Pixi Glow tonic (when I need something mild) and Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle Pads in the morning.

If you were to just get one I'd say go for the Liquid Gold, it's strongish yet surprisingly gentle, works wonders on camel elbows too, lol.

No, I'm in my late forties and have it for my No11's which were very deep a year ago and have now almost filled in nobody has noticed, but I do get lots of positive comments about looking younger. I also have my crows feet and edges of mouth done sometimes if I'm flush. The mouth is good it just stops me looking a bit downturned. I intend to keep it up.
