kitty I probably could do body con with spanx but would feel totally exposed. I,m a natural remember! I loved marshas choices too as they weren't too grown up.

I didn't get a chance to go to reiss in the end as life got in the way. All the sequin ones reminded me that I have a sequin top so I may take that to wear with trousers for one night.

Any ideas what you'd like dry?

Blingy thank you for your advice. You are so right. I'm in limbo at what my style is at the moment. I'm a 56 year old, now flabby in the middle ( even though I gym it 3 times a week), short deep winter(I think).

My huge Hush order was waiting for me at my brothers today, half of it is going back. In my mind I have a completely different lifestyle & shape tomy reality. zi need to get a grip. I think the 2 dresses in the John Lewis order might be going back as well.

Went to Knightsbridge to pick up my Chanel which was in for repair today. Really felt like buying something but couldn't give my money away! Couldn't get an appointment at the champagne nail bar so have hair given myself a manicure and about to pour myself a glass of champagne. (well done me for saving £50). Even the woman at Blink wouldn't do my eyebrows because she said they didn't need it! Still, was nice to have a wander round. Lots of lovely work dresses in Karen Millen but I need another work dress like I need a hole in the head! Was verrrry tempted by the Stuart Weitzman highlands in R&B (half price!), but I have five pairs of OTK boots so I couldn't really justify those!

The one thing I do want is a nice pair of jeans - Blair, what were the ones you wore to the MU?

amber I still need jeans. I sent the TS ones back and tried on all the ones they had in Zara but no good.
I'm thinking I might give up jeans this year but not sure what to replace them for.
It's funny when you want to spend money but physically can't.

I've just been to stoke park for a thalgo facial, feel very relaxed.

I tried some TS ones yesterday but they weren't quite right and tried a load on in Zara today but none of them blew me away. The one pair I liked, I took in an 8 which was too big and then I just couldn't be arsed to go back out and locate a 6.

I just want Topshop Baxters but of course they don't have the colour I'm after!

My boden jeans arrived today. Sadly going back. I love the colour/wash of the blue ones I tried but they are too low waisted too much muffin top overspill. I ordered mid rise black ones which fitted well but looked too similar to my black cords.

Decided not to link the dresses in case I need to get a different size.

Lara tks for kidzania advice, on my rainy day list although would have to enter Westfield which have easily managed not to do in London thus far.

Full day of study today then out tonight for course-related event plus drinks/dinner in Mayfair, yay! Ootd is navy marie sixtine dress which has thin scoop neck jumper top and satin skirt. It's fitted but loose, nicer than it sounds. Haven't decided on shoes yet, still at home but thinking of trying toga boots although never wore with a skirt before. Reluctantly ditching the woolrich in favour of smart Burberry P wool coat and grey lp scarf. Toga boots are grey too but if they look crap will just wear black brogues.

QueenC interested to see how your dresses work out. Don't think I can do better than suggestions so far. Found a lovely I&I short sleeved navy lace one with concealed zip but think you have navy lace aplenty? You would look fab in something bodycon but only if you felt comfortable. Just thought of a fun vogue project, dressing a fellow mnver in something they would never choose but would look fab eg I would love to put Blair in something floaty/ethereal. Will keep it on hold until I have more time

i'd love to say i'm definitely in but it all depends on having someone to watch OneCat as I'm not comfortable leaving her alone for more than a few hours at a time and since Dsis is too scared to go near her now, which is a fair reaction given the circumstances, i have to look at other options. we'll see, i will try to get a sitter if i can though

OOTD Forever 21 sweatshirt and Cos coated jersey skirt, Wolford Winter Logic tights and Pistols. All monochrome apart from Pistols.

I've been toying with the idea of a crossbody bag and although I like Mansur Gavriel's style I'm not sure of the quality of the leather. There's black with blue available in Colette.

Lovely bag safety but depends what you want to wear it with. It you wear it with dark jeans then the colour will transfer into the bag.

mara you're right-I need to step away from the navy lace . Not sure how the dresses from warehouse will be as they're a sort of fit and flare style but not as short as the ones marsha linked to. They have the potential to make me look really hippy (big of hips rather than bohemian!) but it's worth a try.

Intetesting concept about dressing others. Not sure what I'd change about anyone really though I'd love to see shop rocking a really dramatic look.

Some fabulous dresses linked for you Queen and you could so do a bodycon dress! I loved the berry coloured dress from Reiss and all the navy lace and sequins too.

Lovely colour Queen - shame that the crossbody doesn't have that many colours to choose from. Good point about jeans transfer, have had some bags ruined because of that.

I fell in love with these trousers and then wondered where on earth I'd ever wear them......
I ordered this today. My Mother one is soft and comfortable I love it - will get good wear out of this too as my Uniqlo grey sweatshirt is well past it's best now.
Sleep I'm trying to figure out if I can get into town to see that on a weekday but as it's out East I need to look into travel - might drive it. I am also in desperate need of a trim and a colour - but I don't seem to have any Saturday's free. Need to get it sorted.
