Grin at Dreamqueen and Blingy.

Have a make up question - I am packing for my upcoming trip to NZ. I think the EL double wear foundation I am currently using is too heavy for holidays. Any recommendations for an under £10 tinted moisturiser?

shopafrolic · 19/01/2016 20:15

Not under £10 Lib but I love Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser

Larastheme · 19/01/2016 20:23

Was it my crush on Dominique de Villepin blingy, Wink,

Oh it's freezing here too, suede tods biker boots with dore dore merino and cashmere socks I get miserable if my feet are cold,

lib I'm doing my own version of your challenge, its 16 instead of 10, Grin,
I still use Nars tinted moisturiser ,nothing beats it,and one tube can last up to a year, only need very little,

AmberNectarine · 19/01/2016 20:36

I use perricone MD which is obviously £££, but I recently got caught without anything and only a crap branch of boots to rely on and bought this which really isn't bad for the money.

I'm not even pretending the 10 items. Maybe 10 pairs of shoes.

MarshaBrady · 19/01/2016 20:43

Love the collective realisation that ten is not happening. And your commitment Lib Grin

Have been out, which is sooo indulgent on a Tuesday night. Was so nice though

Longislandicetee · 19/01/2016 20:46

Lib I wear foundation in autumn and winter but in Spring and especially Summer when I want something lighter, I wear tinted moisturiser. Like Lara, I use Nars, which is brilliant. In any feature I have ever read, it's always Laura Mercier or Nars that is rated number 1. If you think you might want to try it beyond the holiday that would be my recommendation.

If you're not going to wear it beyond hols then the Body Shop one is meant to be good.

I also saw this article on tinted moisturisers which has other suggestions.

FedupNagging · 19/01/2016 20:51

Lib for under £10 this Maybelline BB cream is fantastic - as I dislike wearing foundation when it's hot, I wear this instead

My Woolovers order arrived about 2 minutes after my post moaning about it - everything fits so keeping and will now quit whining!! Also now on a spending ban until at least end of March Sad

I can't open the shoe link but love the blouse Justa

Longislandicetee · 19/01/2016 20:55

Lara, if I met Harrison Ford I would either be struck dumb or would forget he was married (and dh) and leap on him. Dominique de Villepin wouldn't get the same reaction from me.GrinGrin

AmberNectarine · 19/01/2016 20:59

That's how I feel about Hugh Grant. I would ruin him.

maradesbois · 19/01/2016 21:16

Lara my mil share's your de Villepin crush, I think he's a snake Grin

Amber I saw Hugh Grant in trotters on the king's rd recently, he was ineffectively trying to manage his toddler's tantrum, doing his bumbling thing and didn't seem to have a grip at all!

Now Clooney is a different league...

Larastheme · 19/01/2016 21:21

He was really charismatic,

I always wanted to marry crown prince of Norway, but my grandmother warned me to never get involved with royalty Grin, so I think I will elope with Michael fassbender , or John Hamm ,first-come basis Wink,

FedupNagging · 19/01/2016 21:22

Oh Mara I was just about to mention gorgeous George Clooney too, especially in some sort of uniform..... swoon

Drywhitethanks · 19/01/2016 21:45

Blingy I actually did meet HF once a long time ago......I'll tell you all about it when we next meet.

Hmm you've all go me thinking. Fassbender is a bit sinister Lara.
Me? I go for the character they play. No, actually the clothes/costume:

Obv Colin in wet shirt.
Haven't recovered from the breathtaking vision of Keanu R and Denzel W galloping side by side on horse back in leather trousers in Muchado.......
John Hamm in Mad Men, those suits.......
George C in scrubs in ER
Kit Garrington in his John Snow get up bit young
Ross Poldark...love a man in breeches Grin
Most men in DJs
Don't even get me started on rugby kits Grin
And I really love a 3 piece suit and Churches

Have I gone totally iff the point? Grin

LinusLovesBretons · 19/01/2016 21:48

I love how MNV descends into some lust filled celebrity fest every couple of months.

My current choice would be James McAvoy or Alexander Skarsgaard. Or both. Wink

FedupNagging · 19/01/2016 21:56

Crikey Dry, think you need a lie down in a dark room............

MarshaBrady · 19/01/2016 21:57

John Hamm but in Don Draper mode only. Ryan Gosling

FedupNagging · 19/01/2016 21:58

Although totally agree CF in a wet shirt and Daniel Craig wasn't too shabby in his last Bond film either

QueenC · 19/01/2016 22:01

Sorry dry but Colin in a wet shirt is all mine. Actually I'll just have in a wet shirt or no shirt Grin

Lots of links to catch up on. Especially love the colour of fedups top. Equipment shirt looks good too justa. Not sure about thevsandra dee dress stokey.

blingy good to hear you feel better. blair sorry to hear you're knackered.

Too those of you going sockless innthis weather, you are totally insane!!!

Drywhitethanks · 19/01/2016 22:05

why is it that when the season is over I suddenly want a new jumper? Something like the Boden off duty sweater.......Hmm roll neck, slouchy, wool

libertydoddle · 19/01/2016 22:07

Love it Dry why limit yourself to one eh???

Great advise from your grandmother Lara Grin

For me I'd have to reconsider martial loyalty if John Corbett or Brad Pitt (in his Thelma and Louise days) walked into my life. I also have a weakness for <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/d6/5c/8e/d65c8e3ecc4d4812e3b502cc08fe2876.jpg&imgrefurl=www.pinterest.com/explore/jon-richardson/&h=379&w=236&tbnid=7OnrhTe8zyv--M:&tbnh=160&tbnw=99&docid=mJMuahd-zG5s6M&itg=1&usg=___e-n9uLYbEr1lnEqO20SRGw0rco=" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">John Richardson Grin

Marsha the response on here to my 10 item challenge is just making me more determined Wink

Thanks for all the BB cream / tinted moisturiser recommendations. I had Laura Mercier last year and loved it. Was thinking under £10 on basis of just chucking at end of hols but maybe more sensible really to stick with LM or try Nars as I'll use it from April onwards too....

libertydoddle · 19/01/2016 22:09

Advice not advise I do that ALL the time, including at work Blush

shopafrolic · 19/01/2016 22:10

Have a look at Uniqlo Dry they had a good roll neck boxy style on there

shopafrolic · 19/01/2016 22:14

Jamie Dornan for me please. With a side order of Fassbender.

Longislandicetee · 19/01/2016 22:15

Dry, I am practically panting!Grin

Now Colin Firth.....omg that beautiful man would be in serious trouble if I ever met him. all my tricks would come out for him Don't even think about it QueenC!

George in his ER days. Sigh. George now. Still sigh but ever so slightly less hot.

I agree with Lara's grandma, no royalty!

I am on a conference call talking about a deal transaction and this is very distracting!Grin

justasecond · 19/01/2016 22:27

I pick rpj (rupert penry jones) or I'll fight Marsha and Dry for Don Draper Grin
