M&S Advent Calendar - anyone want to open along with me?

Or did you all tear into it a week ago, as soon as you got it home?

Soooo....Philip Kingsley Elasticizer was in Box 1 - anyone tried it before? Sounds like a task for the weekend.

I've really loved the calendar this year and thought it was great value. Looking forward to trying lots of bits out. Live the new nail polish. Very festive.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Gorgeous festive red colour! I might paint my nails this evening, once I've finished the wrapping and mince pie making (sometime around midnight, the rate I'm going).

I shall really miss the calendar. Everything suited a slightly wrinkled neutral make-up wearer, with limp hair and rubbish nails....in other words, me! I will definitely buy one next year of they repeat it.

Hits: the Elasticizer (amazing, will buy again), the lipsticks, the Philip Kingsley nail stuff, the Pure grapey moisturiser, the handcream, the L'Occitane shower gel...and several others.

Misses: the Hair Oil (not sure I can bring myself to put "oil" anywhere near my freshly washed hair), the lipgloss, the Frankincense cream...but that's about all.

Where was the Nuxe?! Sad

What did everyone else think?

It was good fun, and I got some useful stuff out of it (Elasticizer, hand cream, nail stuff, lip crayon, pixi glow, Ren etc) and I'll probably do it again next year.

I do think I would be disappointed if I'd bought it full price, rather than for £25 though.

Oh, I wish I'd got pretty woman - mine is from Paris with love, v dark red

SymphonyofShadows · 24/12/2015 18:07

I got a very dark red too, but I'm happy with it

TennesseeMountainPointOfView · 24/12/2015 19:40

I think I've got Pretty Woman. It's not a dark red, at any rate. I shall keep it, because I have lots of dark reds but I don't think I have anything this colour (although there's probably a reason for that...)

fair enough CV, sorry bit evangelical about it now

final thoughts: v tasteful colour scheme on the packaging, some great products I would not have tried without this, none of them will go to waste but the order of the boxes was a little odd, nice to finish on a festive red polish though - have a beautified and Merry Christmas all!

Plateofcrumbs · 25/12/2015 14:54

I would definitely do it again if they did it next year - amazing value and loved trying out products that I would never have splashed out on.

Favourites were the nail treatment, pink lipstick, ren treatment (even though it made my face red temporarily) the pixi glow tonic and the rodial dragons blood stuff (which I love so much I'd actually consider spending £70 on it).
