I know it might seem like we've nothing left to say but I'm sure we have :)

I have to tell you: Seville a l'Aube is on the TK Maxx website for half price - lots of other L'Artisan perfumes but that one is very special and I wore nothing else all summer!

SOTD: Cuir de Russie. Like a fuzzy hug with vague undertones of marauding Cossacks from the 19th century.

Vintage Nahema today.I'm debating whether to invest in a bottle of the pure perfume before it becomes impossible to get hold of.
But its so much money!
I've never spent that amount on perfume.

SecondSunrise · 12/01/2016 11:20

cresset my decant of Roja Dove Unspoken was from someone on fragrantica if you were interested.

Could someone describe oudh to me? I've always avoided it but I'm not really sure what it would smell like anyway?

SOTD Hermes Ambre Narguile - perfect now the weather is getting chillier. Spicy cinnamon warmth.

SecondSunrise · 12/01/2016 11:21

How much are we talking getoff? (nosey)

cressetmama · 12/01/2016 12:40

Sunrise, Oudh are like incense, and as varied. I love the Juliette Has A Gun Another Oudh which is light and floral but less keen on the Midnight Oudh (heavier and more churchy). TBH it's a category I have only explored a little, but I am v fond of CdG1 which is slightly oudh-y.

I am avoiding temptation this month, so have not looked at Fragrantica, or Perfumed Court or anything except this thread!

SoTD is Drole de Rose, but it faded quite fast so I topped up with a squirt of Lady Vengeance, of which I am becoming enamoured -- rather like the whole JHAG range. The sample set is a terrific bargain, and the scents last well on my skin.

LovelyFriend · 12/01/2016 20:33

Sotd Tuesdays Dirty Honey. Great description. Sadly not much lasting power on me.

MissBattleaxe · 12/01/2016 22:16

I love Lady Vengeance. Today I'm trying. Maxed Out by 4160 today. Spicy oranges on me.

LovelyFriend · 13/01/2016 14:54

Inspited by MissB I'm wearing Maxed Out today.

Initially I found it a bit "after shavey", but it is developing gorgeously as the day goes on and I'm loving it more and more.

Might need a full bottle of this one.

MissBattleaxe · 13/01/2016 15:59

LovelyFriend- Great choice Smile I found it got quite armpit-sexy after a while. Quite an intimate smell, but rather nice.

LovelyFriend · 13/01/2016 16:17

ah yes - that will be why I now want to rub my face all over my wrist Shock Grin

CointreauVersial · 13/01/2016 16:44

Armpit-sexy?! Shock

I'm definitely gearing up for another bulk sample/decant purchase....my list grows ever longer, and the new 4160 Tuesdays might well be on it.

SOTD - L'Artisan Tea for Two. Tea-sexy!!

MrsCocoa · 13/01/2016 19:56

MissB - you inspired me to break open my Lady Vengance sample today. Enjoyed the rose opening but the projection collapsed in record time on me. It lasted as a skin scent though, and reminded me a bit of one of the Narciso Rodriguez fragrances (For Her?) - but quieter.

getoffthattabletnow · 14/01/2016 10:06

Annick Goutal's Songes Eau D Parfum today.I find this floral is rich and unctuous enough to stand up to cold weather but definitely needs more than the 3 light sprays I spritzed myself with today. Its sleeting heavily here and feels really cold.
Second Sunrise the Cheapest price I've seen for the Nahema perfume is just under £200.Its normally over the £200 .Its been discontinued from December so the prices will only go up.The problem is I haven't tested the perfume as its quite difficult to find.Plus the large amount of Rose Absolute means apparently it doesn't last that well.I'm just wondering whether to just buy something like Montale Taif Roses which can be obtained easily and is much less.money ( and also has lots of Rose Absolute ) .

CointreauVersial · 14/01/2016 16:33

SOTD - Ambre Russe - Parfums D'Empire. Unearthed right at the bottom of my sample crate box.

Needed something warming. I'm still enveloped in it, hours after applying.

MissBattleaxe · 14/01/2016 16:38

Ooh Frugal "mulchy chypre"! I love that. Mandy Aftel has recently launched Bergamoss, which is a wonderfully green, earthy "mulchy" chypre. I love it.

I'm glad to see I'm being a bad influence and inspiring posters to wear stuff!

I am wearing 4160 Raw Silk and Red Roses today and its utterly divine. One of her best ever.

FrustratedFrugal · 14/01/2016 16:44

Cresset thanks for mentioning Y! I have a old bottle, one of my favorite things, so sunny! Need to put it on my dresser so that I'll remember to grab it. Mitsouko for fall, Y for spring, but what on earth riht now? Have been wearing Vega. DH has worn his oudh a lot, loving the tailwind.

cressetmama · 14/01/2016 16:57

Cointreau Ambre Russe is lovely, a bear hug of booze and amber-y warmth. It has been one of the first PdE samples to get used each time I've bought a set.

Glad to have reminded you of a treasure Frugal! Luca Turin called Y a T-shirt fragrance, because it's so easy and comfortable.

SoTD has been Moon Dance, from JHAG. It's powerful tuberose and some patch, and it reminds me of Corps et Ames, which I adored but DH and DS detested, so I only wear it when there's time for it to have subsided before they arrive home.

leedy · 14/01/2016 17:29

Oh look, there you all are.

SoTD is Profumum Roma's Victrix, which was a Christmas pressie and I love. It's very very very green. Like a wet wood. If you like that sort of thing.

cressetmama · 15/01/2016 14:47

Just bumping because we are off page 1, so a prompt to all perfumistas!

I think a squirt of Eau d'Hiver for my Tesco run, followed by a shower before getting ready for DH's birthday dinner!

MissBattleaxe · 15/01/2016 17:10

I've just got my Perfume Society Discovery Box- Scent With Love. It's very girly.

cressetmama · 15/01/2016 17:18

Tell us all open about as you explore the delights MissB. I am all agog.

cressetmama · 15/01/2016 17:19

Duh! open

CointreauVersial · 15/01/2016 17:33

Hmm...I'm wondering whether to get that box - or the previous one, which I don't think I bought (or did I?).

SOTD is L'Artisan Noir Exquise, which is an unusual coffee and toffee number. Another winter warmer - I really like it.

CointreauVersial · 15/01/2016 17:34

Noir Exquis, no "e", in fact. These pesky forrin fragrance names.....Grin

FrustratedFrugal · 15/01/2016 17:50

Weekend is here. Snugly at home, wrapped in wool and Dahn al Oudh Arzan from Ajmal. Heady, animalistic, smoky, nuanced, ever changing.

FrustratedFrugal · 15/01/2016 17:51

MissBattleaxe we need details!!!
